Odette’s POV

He said yes.

I can't believe he actually said yes, which means I'm finally leaving the Rouge Moon Pack in a month! I sneaked back to my room with my bracelet, only to run into Eliana as I passed the back kitchen door.

"Sister, why are you dirty here? Are those the clothes from yesterday? Haven't you showered?"

I did not answer, ready to leave her and go directly back to our room, but she called me.

"Odette, have you seen Wyatt Parker?"

I stopped, a little hesitant about what answer would be better for me.

"Forget it, I don't need to know. Whether you've seen him or not, I have to tell you that he's mine. Just continue living as you did before. Don't make any unnecessary moves." She lifted her specially curled black hair, showing off her beautiful red nails.

We, the pack girls, hardly ever have long nails. We have to train every day, and long nails would hinder our exercise and make us vulnerable in fights. Eliana, on the other hand, grew up with a weak heart, so she never exercised. I suspect that's why she's so short.

She continued to stare at me coldly. Yes, that's the real Eliana. She only acts like that when no one is around.

I sneered, "What? Are you afraid of me?"

"To be honest, I'm curious how you can be the Luna of the Blue Crescent Pack. Do you have the strength to hold a chicken in your hands? Or the courage to face an enemy when they're here?"

"Odette! Why are you always so mean?"

"Eliana, being mean was never my nature. You know that."

"What I think is important. What everyone else thinks is more important," Eliana sneered. She took a step forward and whispered in my ear, "Odette, you're going to regret this one day. Do you think you can change anything? You're a weakling, destined to be forgotten in the Rouge Moon Pack." She turned around and left, leaving me stunned in place.

I wasn't surprised by Eliana's arrogance. I had grown accustomed to her two-faced nature over the years. What surprised me was her confidence.

Her unwavering determination made me a little worried. Is she going after Wyatt Parker? What is she planning? Is she going to strike a deal with Wyatt Parker like I did? And what about Wyatt Parker? After all, he promised to keep things casual.

Filled with worry, I returned to my room and finally gave up on overthinking.

Forget it.

Starting tomorrow, we'll train with the Blue Crescent Pack, and we'll see if there's a possibility between Eliana and Wyatt.

I took a shower and went back to bed, with no intention of joining the others in the Hall.

To tell you the truth, no one would even notice my presence. Or rather, I would only make things more awkward. If Samantha was so determined to recommend Eliana to Wyatt Parker, then I would be a liability. So it's best if I stay in my room.

I closed my eyes to rest.

Maybe it's because I slept for so long earlier, but now I wasn't feeling very sleepy. I didn't know how much time had passed when suddenly a piercing scream echoed through the sky.

My heart skipped a beat, and I opened my eyes.
