Rebecca

Rebecca White was a pretty girl. The kind of girl that turned heads when she walked into a room or when she smiled or laughed. She had always been the centre of attention and had always been loved by those around her. She was pampered, spoilt and fattened up by her parents and friends. It wasn't long before she became the object of idolisation for girls and the figure within the boys' dreams. Rebecca had kept up an act of being a pure angel that wouldn't be tainted by jealousies and wants so she had rejected all the boys who pursued her and kept only loyal and submissive girls around her. Rebecca was also the first daughter of colonel Jack White, one of the most powerful men in the kingdom. Subsequently she was brought up with the best education and was admitted to the Royal Gold Academy effortlessly. Once at the Academy she began to soar as a talented cultivating genius. She was able to reach the qi condensing stage at the age of 15, a monumental achievement for a girl of her age. She was considered one of the most promising youths in the whole of Bakre and thus was considered the only candidate to be the crown princes wife. After the proposal from the royal family came Rebecca was over the moon. She had seen the handsome and well kept crown prince and had fallen in love at first sight. Rebecca knew that her act for all these years had finally paid off and she was impatient to marry the prince and finally become a real princess. For Rebecca who was given everything as soon as she asked, her luxury and prosperity was what she had accepted as the obvious outcome for her. After all she was born to be beautiful, powerful and legendary. She was the heavens' daughter.

Rebecca's marriage with the crown prince was only a month away when her father dragged her along on her families bi-monthly outing to the Western mountain range. Her father was a military man who believed people should be able to take care of themselves in the wild, he believed that someone should be able to hunt a beast and then cook up its meat, or build a shelter that could house someone for a substantial period of time. Rebecca didn't like these trips at all, it was dirty, sweaty and annoying. She hated having to sleep in the crappy tents instead of her 1000 gold coin queen bed and she hated the amount of bugs that swarmed around them and the smell of the wilderness. She much preferred her perfumed room filled with bright colours and soft toys. Her little brother John was the opposite though, he was turning 13 this year and was always brimming with energy and loved the wilderness more than he loved his older sister. She noticed this and hated him for it, thinking along the lines of 'how can you love this stinking pile of dirt more than me you ungrateful little shit, you have the worlds most beautiful and talented girl as your sister but you would rather skin a boar instead of act cute for me!'. She hated John since he had taken some of the affection and attention of her parents away from her and she had a sneaking suspicion that her mother actually liked him more than she had liked Rebecca. Milly white was a kind woman, she was peaceful and calm like the ideal motherly figure and she always ran around picking up after John and helping him with whatever he was doing. Even now as they were walking to the forest, her father didn't want to take a carriage, her mother was holding his hand as they walked and was constantly watching him with the corner of her eyes.

You would think that since she was a qi condenser Rebecca could effortlessly walk for a few hours through the forest but she complained the entire way to her parents and began pestering her brother, poking and kicking him every now and then out of boredom. She was getting on her fathers nerves as he had little patience for bullying or messing around while in the dangerous forest. Jack White was a Spirit condenser but he knew that deep within the Western mountains where beasts that were stronger than him and there was even an Elemental Ascension realm magic beast at the core of the mountain range! As a general rule, magic beasts were stronger than Humans at the same level, so if a Spirit condenser stage magic beast appeared, his entire family would be in danger. Although he had been to this forest countless times already and knew that he was far from being close enough to the dens of those powerful magic beasts he was still on alert because you could never know what would actually happen in these kinds of places and being cautious didn't cost anything anyways.

"Rebecca stop messing around and focus! You're already 15 and a qi condensing stage cultivator. You should try and hunt a peak tier 0 magic beast to test your strength."

"Why dad? That's so disgusting though! Fighting a filthy beast is beneath me. There's no point in fighting a beast if I just spar with Renee or Sarah when I'm at the academy. And in a month I can ask his highness for pointers even and I'll get the guidance of the experts of the royal palace. I don't need to fight any magic beasts."

"Hahaha, Big sis is just scared. She doesn't wanna get sweaty or dirty. She's afraid his highness won't love her anymore when she's stinky!"

"Johnny don't say that about your sister!"

"Ok! Everyone calm down now. Its already 6 PM lets have some dinner. I know this beautiful waterfall a few kilometres away from here."

They stopped fighting and followed Jacks instructions, heading towards the waterfall at an increasing pace. They were hungry from all the trekking and were salivating at the thought of their mothers cooking. Their mother was actually a 5 sun rank chef, only rivalled by the royal chef master himself. Her food was not only delicious and fulfilling but it also gave people a boost in their cultivation and could help with all kinds of effects. Helping relieve fatigue, warm someone up after a cold day, curing someone from a cold or even helping revitalise someone after an intense workout. They were already all dreaming about the sumptuous feast they would be eating soon. They arrived at the waterfall ten minutes later and they began to set up a place to eat. They laid down a large cloth to sit on and set down various dishes and trays filled with tantalizing delicacies. Jack spread around some powder in their surroundings that would repel all the beasts in the surroundings, it was made of various herbs and the dung from a powerful magic beast as deterrent. They lit some incense to mask the smell of the powder and began to dig in. It was usually in these times of peace and indulgence that Jack would bring up all the topics he wanted to discuss and most of the time this was just interrogating Rebecca on whether she had been cultivating properly.

"Rebecca have you been practising your [Gale steps style] properly? What stage have you reached in it ?"

"Yes dad. I've reached the 2nd stage and I have around 35% understanding in it. "

" That's good then but you also have to remember to practise your [ Tempest Rain fist style], how far have you reached in it ?"

"The Tempest Rain is stupid dad! Its annoying and tiring, I don't wanna practise it anymore!"

"Rebecca ! You can't not practise it just because it makes you sweaty or dirty. Fist styles are important for fighting and survival. How are you supposed to win a fight without actually attacking the opponent? Tell me what understanding you've reached with it!"

"I don't have to fight anyone, everyone loves me. And when I become princess no one will dare attack me, at that time it won't matter if I've only reached 21 % understanding in a stupid fist technique!"

"Hahaha, dad I've reached the third stage in the Tempest Rain technique, I've got 41 % understanding in it!"

"Haha that's good Johnny, Rebecca you should take your training more seriously like Johnny. The Crown prince won't always be there to save you. You need to be able to take care of yourself!"

"Shut up dad, you don't know anything. His highness wouldn't let even a stray feather touch me. Just watch in the future!"

"Okay, okay! Stop fighting and eat you two. This food I made isn't gonna eat itself you know? And you Johnny, don't leave your mouth hanging open like that!"

"B-b-but Mom look there!"

John pointed to the top of the water fall at something falling straight through the air as it spun and twisted in theatrical ways. The Whites were all stunned as they stared at what they could now tell was the silhouette of a human falling down the 500 metre tall waterfall. Milly was flabbergasted that someone would actually jumped from that high and had began to assume that they were trying to commit suicide. Jack was the quickest to react and had gotten up as he used a technique to look closer at the person falling down. He noticed immediately that the person was a young boy slightly taller than John and after some more intense staring he noticed how the boy was smiling widely while laughing to him self.

"He- he..... he's laughing! That boy is laughing while falling from a 500 metre waterfall, he must be crazy!"

Rebecca was stunned speechless, she had never seen someone die and never thought her first sighting would be a suicide from the top of a beautiful waterfall. She didn't know why but she felt that the sight of the boy laughing and doing tricks as he fell to his death was an inexplicably beautiful sight that sent shivers down her spine.

Before the Whites knew it the boy had already fallen within the distance that normal eyes could see and not long later a gigantic splash exploded out of the centre of the small pond at the base of the waterfall. The previously calm pond raged outwards as water flooded the shore as it radiated in humungous waves from where the boy had fell into the pond. For a minute they were completely silent as they just watched the water writhe and ripple until it settled down finally.

"Is..... he dead?" asked John

At that moment the water burst outwards as the boy from before erupted from the pond and screamed out with joy and vigour

"Wooooooohooooooooo!!!"

The boy did a number of flips as he fell rapidly towards the shore and landed in front of the Whites, an exhilarated smiled plastered across his face. His swept back his hair and stared at the Whites while panting heavily.

"That was really fun! Should I do it again? Do you guys wanna do it with me? Its really fun you know?"
