Bakre

The worlds tiers were decided by two things; the highest cultivators cultivation and the average level of cultivation in that world. Bakre's highest level cultivator was at the low grade elemental ascension while the average cultivation level was spirit gatherer. Usually the highest cultivator was 1 grade higher for worlds that were tier 1 through 4. There were worlds that would diverge from this troupe like worlds that had peak grade elemental ascension experts but the average level of cultivation was only spirit gatherer. In cases like this it would be averaged out and the world would be labelled as a mid level world. Bakre was an average world that Lucius' parents had picked out for his first experience in society as he would be strong enough to survive against most of the cultivators in that world with his strength. Lucius was a Basil, was trained in body refinement and had trained to the 50th floor in the testing tower so he was able to go up against spirit condensers and even kill them if he used all his moves. Although there was the early elemental ascension expert, he wasn't going to be out in the open and waiting to fight Lucius anyway since the peak experts of a world usually spent their time in seclusion trying to become even stronger and escape the world that they would feel is like a cage containing them.

Lucius entered the cultivation room and sat on the core formation, fully loaded and ready to go. He concentrated his mind and called out to the formation, saying what his father had told him to.

"Spatial travel : Tier 1- low grade world, Bakre"

"Tier 1 world Bakre, Z-173 galaxy, confirmed. Spatial travel initiating. Prepare for travel in 3...2...1"

Lucius felt his vision go white then black as he felt his stomach churn. Like the feeling you get when your on a roller coaster and you feel vertigo. He felt almost sick as the feeling lasted for a good 10 minutes. When it was over he opened his eyes and found himself in a forest. Lucius took in a deep breath and noticed how empty the air felt. He was noticing the low qi density of this world and the absence of pure elements that were present in the Garden. Currently the Garden had the qi density of a tier 5 world but that was only for now as Lucius had yet to unlock its full features, in the future the Garden would have the qi density of a level 9 world and a qi purity so great it could help a regular person reach the tier 4 stage just by them living there.

Lucius looked around and decided to get to a high vantage point so he could scout the area better. He climbed a tree and noticed a mountain in the distance, all around him was a thick forest so he decided to head to that mountain first. He pulled out a compass from his space ring and noticed that the mountain was in the west as he moved towards it rapidly. The mountain was only 20 kilometres away so Lucius was able to run there within 5 minutes and he began to scale the mountain rapidly. This was really simple for Lucius as he had trained in all kinds of environments under his father and since one of the most common exercises was scaling a mountain to train Lucius' body. They had even made a game out of it and competed to see who could scale the mountain the quickest, of course Orion had limited his body to the Hide stage of body refinement but even then he would win every time. Once Lucius reached the top of the mountain he noticed a thick forest as far as his eyes could see (which was about 20 km) and a few other mountains littered about. He didn't see a town or city so he decided to use a technique he had learned from the first level of the library, the eagle eye technique. After using it Lucius was still unable to see any signs of civilisation but he could see that the forest had thinned out in the north so he decided to head towards it as he wanted to leave the forest and meet some people already. With the eagle eye technique Lucius could see 200km away and although he would be able to run there in around 50 minutes he decided to take his time and explore the forest first.

Half an hour after Lucius began to walk, he was 50 km through and he came across a boar. So far he hadn't seen many animals, just the occasional squirrel or butterfly so seeing a 20m tall boar was a shock. The boar was coated in a dominating dark brown fur and had towering tusks. It stared hungrily at Lucius while pillars of steam emerged from the two sides of its mouth. It kicked its legs back and pounced straight at Lucius with its tusks elongated and piercing towards him. Lucius immediately noticed that this was a tier 1 low grade magic beast, the iron skin boar. He kicked his left food and dodged to the right and watched as the boar crashed through dozens of trees as it came to a stop. Lucius pulled out a cooking knife as he smiled, thinking that dinner had just come to him on its own. He lunged forward and instantly appeared above the boar, he swung down and qi coated his blade, vibrating strongly as the simple chefs knife sliced right through the boars neck, decapitating it cleanly. Lucius immediately bled the boar and starting dismantling the carcass. He skinned it and set its fur to one side and then let the boars blood drain into a pot he pulled out. The pot was quite small, being only half a meter in radius but inside it was a space condensing formation so it actually had 10 cubic metres of space inside it. Even then the pot was filled halfway by the overwhelming amount of blood from the 10 metre tall and 15 metre wide magic beast. Lucius stored away the tusks, fangs, eye balls, hooves and bones as he cut the carcass apart expertly. Lucius was using the [Qi Blade] technique, which was when he coated a blade in vibrating qi that helped greatly with slicing and cutting so the simple chefs knife could dismantle a tier 1 magic beast easily.

Lucius stored away most of the meat and began to build a fire with dry wood he found lying around. He started the fire with a quick technique and then put a cooking pot on it, filling it with water and various herbs. He let the herbs stew for a while before beginning to purify the meat. Magic beasts were filled to the brim with violent energy that could cause serious damage to a persons body if not treated properly. Normally people wouldn't eat magic beast meat at all and would simply take the core and sell it to an alchemist or artifact refiner but since Lucius was both himself and had the [Tier 1 Purifying Flame] technique along with how he was a body refiner he was easily able to eat all of the boar in one sitting but he chose to only eat a portion for now. He purified the meat using the technique and the gamy smell it gave off disappeared and it became bright pink and juicy. Lucius added it to the fire and let it stew for an hour. He added seasonings to his liking, Lucius preferred it a little spicy with a lot of salt. He then dug in and enjoyed the taste of stewed boar. The energy filled his body gently and merged with his muscles all over his body as he became slightly stronger. It was as if he had just trained for 20 days. Magic beast meat was one of the best ways for Body Refiners to advance through cultivation as it not only meant they got experience when hunting the beast but also got stronger through consuming its flesh. Feeling full and satisfied Lucius climbed a tree and took a quick nap, after all this was technically his first break since he was born.

Lucius woke up and checked the watch he kept around his wrist, it was 4 o'clock. This was a gift that Delilah had made for him for his 12th birthday. She had spent a while on it and it was a delicate midnight black watch with a dark blue rim. The watch itself was powered by qi and thus had a qi gathering formation etched on the inside while the back had the initials L.B etched in with cursive writing. He got up and continued walking on, this time a little faster as he had already hunted a magic beast, but even then he still picked herbs he saw scattered around and even killed another tier 1 magic beast, the white wood goat. It was smaller than the boar, being only 7 metres tall and 5 wide but it could use wood element spells as opposed to the boar that could only use metal qi to strengthen its hide greatly. Even then, Lucius didn't spend to long in hunting it down and dismantling it. This time the goat actually had a magic beast core, this was a small whiteish grey pearl that contained the goats accumulations throughout its long life. Most tier 1 magic beasts lived from 60 to 90 years before dying of old age and the goat had actually lived for 70 years, the boar on the other hand had only lived 50 years and so had not yet condensed a magic beast core. Magic beast cores were a key ingredient in enhancing pills and artifacts. They could also be used as the core of a formation and would greatly enhance its power. Lucius was happy with his spoils so he continued his journey with enthusiasm.

When Lucius was 30 km away from the end of the forest he noticed the sound of rushing water and a loud crashing sound. He climbed a tree and saw that there was a waterfall towards the south east. Lucius had been coming from the west towards the north but the river was heading from the south east towards the north so he hadn't seen it before. Lucius travelled to the waterfall and ended up on the top end of the water fall, looking down as the rushing water crashed into a mid sized pool at the bottom and then continued onwards in a smaller river. As he stared at the raging waterfall from the top he felt an inexplicable urge to jump straight down. The waterfall was around 500 feet tall and Lucius knew he would be fine if he did so he stripped down until he was naked and leapt straight in. Lucius did a few tricks and flips as he travelled down, feeling a rush he had only felt when breaking through or sparring against his father. He felt alive!
