"I'm done with everything, I made sure no one saw me."

A-Train said nervously as he breathed heavily with a small amount of sweat covering his forehead.

I'm in front of the floor to ceiling windows in my office that's on the last floor of the building wearing a black and white formal attire that accentuates my fit body.

"Are you sure? Because you forgot to clean the blood on your ears. Is there something I should know about?"

I asked him calmly as I continued to gaze upon the city from above.

"Nothing serious happened I swear! It was just a minor accident that will be covered up by the company. No one knows what happened."

He panicked with more sweat forming on his forehead that I could sense from my position without seeing with my eyes.

"Is that so? I will take your word for it. Besides, from here onwards everything that happens on him so I don't really care what fucked up thing you did this time."

I nonchalantly said.

This made him relax a little but he was still nervous.

"If that's all you can go A-Trian. Make sure you report to him about your progress."

I dismissed him.

"I'm going then, see you later."

He said and quickly left the office, leaving me alone in my luxurious office.

Sigh.... I just hope what he did doesn't come back to bite me, who am I kidding. Even if it does, I can shrug it off like the way I do with bullets.

He just came back from a mission we gave him.

Basically, it's to distribute a type of compound V I developed to let's say malevolent groups of people.

Homelander convinced me to develop it and since I also wanted to test it out en masse on people without caring about the repercussions, I agreed.

From now onwards, its out of my hands so whatever that happens because of this has nothing to do with me.

Enough of that, let's talk about what has happened during this time.

I've officially lived longer than I did in my first life and it's been great.

My company rules almost every industry, giving me the privilege of being one of the most powerful individuals on the entire planet.

I have enough political sway to do what I want wherever i go and I'm rich and strong enough to shrug off any problem that comes my way.

I'm that powerful now.

All my plans are almost complete and when I'm done there will be nothing that can stop me on this planet.

Since I've got nothing to worry about at the moment, I've been trying a lot.. and I mean a lot of things.

Funnily enough, I'm even in a relationship. I never thought that would be possible here but it did.

I always thought being in a relationship is restrictive but she has changed my mind.

My sexual tendencies doesn't even bother her in the slightest. I can still have sex with other women, the best thing about this is the fact that she even joins and thankfully she doesn't share my sexual tendencies.

We have so much in common, she is very cunning, diabolical, rational and most importantly intelligent and she's also a supe.

The only problem is the fact that she has 'baggage'. Normally, I would've sidelined her because of that sole fact but the circumstances behind the child's birth is what made it cool for me.

The child is basically a test tube baby, the only reason she even did this is because of how ambitious she is and the sperm donor is long dead, I don't know if she killed him or not and I don't really care.

The fact that I like children to some extent also helped me like her, so even though I can't acknowledge her as my anything I still care a great deal for her.

But make no mistake, I can still sacrifice them for my goals but that might change depending on what happens.

I never liked having a weakness especially an emotional one and I don't want one now.

The only way I can neglect that kind of thing is when I'm strong enough that nothing on this planet or in this reality can harm me.

Oh, I even have a date with her tomorrow.

All in all life's been good and I want it to be that way, just that it's becoming a little boring so I like to spice things up from time to time.... the messed up way.

Pulling back my sleeves a little bit, I unlocked my smart watch that was vibrating slightly and displayed a holographic screen in the air and answered the call.

"Hello, it's Madelyn. I wanted to know if you will be coming to the press conference?"

"You mean the one about Lamplighter's retirement and the replacement? Hmm, I dont really know if I should attend."

I replied in an unsure tone, since I really didn't know if I should attend.

"Sigh... please just attend, you are still the Vice Leader even if its just honorary. Your presence will even go a long way to promote her and we need it at the moment."

Madelyn explained in a pleading tone.

"Okay, I will come. I have nothing to do anyways."

I responded in a bored tone.

"Great! I will be expecting you there. Good bye."

She said excitedly and ended the call.

Hmm, I guess I will go and see this Iowan girl who probably thinks this business is all sunshine and rainbows. I bet she has that naive goal of wanting to save everyone and blah blah blah.

Maeve wanted to do that and now look at her.

Now that I think about it, this might be very interesting.

The thought of corrupting this pure and naive farm girl is making me excited.

Maybe this won't be boring as I thought it will be.

With a grin covering my face, I left the windows and went to my wardrobe beside the bookshelves and wore my superhero costume.

It's time to have fun.

Today is officially the best day of my life.

I'm now officially in the Seven, this has been my dream since day one and I've finally achieved it.

The press conference was a blast, I've never had this many people give me attention and honestly I was very nervous.

The crazy part about this is that 'The Deva' the richest, smartest and officially the most hottest man in the world came to the conference.

I can still remember his smile, that dreamy smile he showed me when he congratulated me on stage. He is in his late thirties but he looks way younger like Homelander.

I've never seen soo many people scream and adore a man like what I saw in the conference, he practically stole the spotlight from me even though today is my day but he was polite and professional enough to naturally shift it back to me.

Even The Deep who was my partner on stage was sidelined and he behaved like it was normal.

He left after the conference so I didn't get to talk to my idol personally but I will talk to him one of these days considering he is the Vice Leader.

At the moment, I'm inside the Seven's Meeting room with The Deep showing me how advanced the place is.

He is a real nice guy.

"That's his isn't it?"

I asked when he stood next to a seat behind the Seven shaped table that looked like it belonged to Homelander.

"Yeah, but you will have your own soon. Here, give it a test drive. C'mon.... wait, you okay?"

He asked with concern since I was quiet with my face turned the other way.

I was alright but I just still can't believe I'm here right now, standing in the Seven's meeting room.

"Its just that I used to stand in front of the mirror, pretending to be where I am right now."

I said a little bit emotionally.

"You know on my first day, I felt like a fraud... yeah. But the good news is, everyone feels that way."

He responded with a reassuring smile.

"Thank You."

I said thankfully with a smile.

"Don't worry, we are a team now. We help each other out. I bet growing up, you had Homelander and Deva posters on your wall huh?"

He asked playfully, standing behind Homelanders seat.

"No actually I. .... don't know but Homelander is soo.. it's like he is Jesus or something and Deva is like the cool rich smart guy in high school making him kinda out of your reach. If you wanna know the truth, I actually had a poster of you."

I said with a somewhat shy smile.

".....Really? Oh wow."

"Yeah, I kinda had a high school girl crush on you. Oh my GOD, I hope that isn't inappropriate to say?"

"No no no, it isn't inappropriate at all. It's just kinda wild."

He responded in an amused tone.

The room got silent for a while as I watched the city since I was feeling shy over what I said so I turned to face him the next moment.

"Huh?"

The sound just came out of my mouth since he was standing there stroking his dick with his lower half naked.

"What? You said you had a crush on me so I figured that you know."

He said with a confused face as if he couldn't believe I was shocked.

Disgusted and angry at what I saw, I moved towards the exist with the intent of leaving this room.

"Wowowo, I'm not talking about sex. Just a little bit of pole smoking."

He explained hurriedly since I ignored him and increased my walking speed towards the exit.

"Wowowo, it's just a matter of how bad you want to be in the Seven."

I halted and turned to face him when I heard that and walked a little closer to the table.

"Excuse me?"

I asked angrily as my powers flared with the lights misfunctioning and the Television screens cracking.

"Wait cool down, look I know you are powerful that's no joke but the thing is I'm kinda number two around here so if I say so you would be outta here especially since you attacked me."

He exclaimed calmly as he got close and stood just a few meters away from me.

"You think I will believe that, isn't Deva the number two around here and you said I what?"

I replied in disbelief, especially after hearing the last part.

"Yeah that's true but he isn't here that much since you know, he has to run his company and all that so he kinda made me the second if he isn't around. We are actually really great friends if you haven't noticed plus look."

He explained calmly and gestured towards the screen.

I followed his hand and saw the screen that broke as a result of my powers and this made me nervous.

I can't believe the man I once looked up to is like this, I can't believe this is happening to me right after I entered the Seven.

"Imagine the Headlines, The Iowan sweetheart went psycho on The Deep just after joining the Seven. This could put you out of business."

He said with a smirk as he got closer and came right in front of me.

My eyes started tearing slightly since he was right, because of him I could lose everything I've worked my whole life for.

All my mom's sacrifice, and all the things I went through will be for nothing if he does this.

I dont know what to do right now, someone please help.

"Imagine all the little gir---"

"It seems The Deep is bullying our newest member. Hmm, I wonder why?"

A calm voice interrupted him and when we turned towards the source, I saw Deva standing there in a gray casual attire with a frown on his handsome face.

"S-Sir it isn't what it looks like, I was ju--"

"Save your bullshit Kevin, I will deal with you later so just leave the room before I change my mind."

The Deep stammered in fear when he saw him but he got cut off again.

"I will leave now Sir."

Immediately afterwards, he left the room both embarrassed and fearful. Leaving the two of us in the room.

"Thank You soo much Mr Deva. I don't know what would've happened if you didn't show up."

I thanked him from the bottom of my heart as I cleaned my watery face, with a smile on my face.

He smiled calmly in return and came closer.

I could smell his fragrant scent when he came close to me and this brought a slight blush on my face since he really looked handsome.

"Don't thank me yet, there is something I need to know. Can you help me with this?"

He asked with a beautiful smile.

I nodded with a smile, happy that he saved me.

"Tell me Starlight, how much are you willing to sacrifice for your career?"

He asked with a wierd smile on his face that made me shiver.

I hope what I'm thinking isn't what he is thinking because if it is, then I'm really screwed.
