The Sculpter

I was a poor kid how loved to play with clay making the imaginary real my imagination was so vivid I was the creator of my own friends, and I would make the real through the statues I would create with very careful hands. I would always slowly create a new friend and whenever I gave or sold them, I told people to take care of them. I only gave away these friends I created so they could make more friends and help others have friends. I was lonely when I grew up creating sculptures all alone in a small store in the country that also served as my house, I would sell the statues to collectors who would treat them well but not as if they were friends.

-

I became known as the best sculpturer in the world at least in small scale, which was quite fun, but I always was inside my store or in my yard. I loved to look up mythical creatures and then create them the roaring fir breathing dragon, the kraken a creature of the deepest ocean depths.

-------------POV Exiled Elf---------------------

I was running from my pursuers when I saw store that radiated calm I dashed through the door seeing a small human with black hair and dark green eyes looking upon a Golem in the process of being created. his process of slowly molding the clay into the form of a mermaid and the smile on his face illuminated the room as if he was pouring his magic power over the golem to give it life an old way used by the most proficient of golem makers.

-

He slowly turned to mee and then I realized that all the golems stopped moving as he turned, and he said, "Would you like to purchase one of my friends they have surely been looking forward to having fun and adventure, but I can't give them that. I Afterall am only comfortable here in my workshop with all my tools so I rob them of the sights they might see." I could understand him even though the language he used was one I had never heard before. I smiled and looked around all of the signs he had were in a different language but molded into one I could understand.

-

He must be a master of magic and with all this magic power in here that he's releasing so I can simply understand everything is much higher than even my mana pool. I stopped thinking about how strong he was and simply listened to his words and began to browse the golems there were so many but the one I felt the most affinity was a small golden tree painted with intricate detail several fairies floating around it watering and taking care of it. I waited as he finished the process of creating the basic golem outline, but he did something different than most Golem Masters he let out a breath of his life into the golem and then put it in a giant pot it seemed which sealed with a hiss.

-

His magic power surrounded it as if to condense the golem and make its form stronger I hadn't seen such a process before but putting your Breath of Life in anything would most likely result in losing your lifespan. He turned to me and said "Don't worry about me this isn't much compared to what I usually do I just haven't made many recently due to being in a bad place for business. The prices aren't too cheap and many materials even if poor can be used for high quality products."

-

He smiled and pointed at the small Tree Golem in my hand and said "Ahh you have chosen my own interpretation of the Tree Yggdrasil the creator oof the elves the tree that begets wisdom in all life it helps all it can, but it was torn apart by the gods of chaos who then used it to create the dreaded race called the orcs this is why there is such a long standing hatred between the races alas this is only the seed of its beginning you must nurture and protect it or it will never reach the apex."

-

He smiled grabbing my hand saying "Yggdrasil fits you quite well and I can already tell it wishes to help you with your problems so help it and it will give you the gift it has. The gift of Yggdrasil is its perfect affinity with life and earth granting great magical capabilities." I left all the magical stones on his desk and said "Goodbye friend if I ever see you again you shall have the respect of my race.

-

I left the store and looked behind me to remember the store and make sure to thank him, but the store was completely gone it was just the open area in the middle of the forest no store could be seen. I looked down at the golem to see the fairies had become living things and Yggdrasil was now just a small sapling. I began to think was he telling the truth that enmity between us and the orcs was only because they were made by using corrupted and destroyed parts of the world tree, I shouldn't judge them for something they have no control over.

-

Wait why is my mind so clear usually I am quite impulsive I then realize it's because Yggdrasil is bound to me, I must return to my race even if it causes my death, I must bring our creator back to our people. I smile realizing our situation in this war may just turn around in time wait no I must hide with the tree our people with their pride would expose our recovery of our god if so, they will die again so I must hide with them and help them grow alone this will be a tough path, but it is mine.
