Chapter 36

Shikari

I wake up to a banging on the door and Birsha cursing and throwing a pillow at the door. I laugh and tell whoever is banging to come in. Luc enters with a huge smile as about six servants follow him in and start setting up a table and chairs. “Good morning! It’s a new day and we have much to discuss before you leave!” He says as the last food starts being pulled on the tables. The smell of coffee and bacon reach my nose and I jump up in search of the yummy smell as Luc and Birsha both laugh. “Come on son! Your turn.” Luc says laughing as Birsha grumbles about never being able to sleep in this place.

We all take our seats and the last of the servants leave as we begin to make our plates. Mmm.. bacon! After filling my plate with bacon, eggs, and some pancakes I settle into my chair and look up to find Birsha extending a cup of steaming coffee to me. I quickly grab the coffee and sigh as I breathe in the aroma as Birsha chuckles softly and takes his seat once again.
