To Survive

They quickly left the gas station and didn't bother with the survivors anymore. The cold was starting to dispel and they stopped by to eat lunch at a police station after killing all the mutants inside.

Lilian Mo also swiped away the guns and ammos inside. She handed the baton she found to Mu Qingqing. She also gave the two an extra change of clothes.

While eating, Mu Qingqing and Mizuki Rei did not forget to praise her cooking skills. Being able to eat warm food that was both tasty and healthy was a luxury in the apocalypse.

Some people had to endure eating rations only. They would stave their hunger by eating biscuits or soggy noodles. Because of this, many people grew to be malnourished and thin during the apocalypse. Foods like this weren't healthy for the body but they had no other choice considering that food is scarce.

Lilian Mo handed the task of washing dishes to the two. She made sure to give them an apple each.

Mizuki Rei thought it was wasteful.

Lilian Mo sighed. "You both need nutrients and energy in order to fight and use your abilities.. Although its the apocalypse, don't treat yourselves too shabbily. Lack of nutrition could lead to sickness and its something that we can't afford."

After hearing this, Mizuki Rei didn't protest anymore. He also saw the logic in her words. Mu Qingqing wasn't like him. Whatever her Momo said this, she obeyed it and ate the apple while listening to her explanation.

After that, the two went to wash the dishes. Lilian Mo closed the door to a room and locked it. She went inside her space and began to harvest and plant seeds. She took a quick bath and changed her clothes, feeling refreshed again.

She went to meditate and absorb the qi inside. She could feel herself reaching the bottleneck but was unable to do so. She knew the problem and it was because she lacks combat experience. She would also need crystal cores.

She would have to hunt down a level one mutant plant alone.

Her two companions were still too weak to fight against a level one and could only take on regular mutants.

After doing farm work and meditating, she exited the space and went to find the two.

They were both sitting on a couch and resting. Lilian Mo took this opportunity to teach them how to upgrade.

"Uhh.. So Momo I can't absorb elements since I'm a strength ability user?"

Lilian Mo nodded at Mu Qingqing. "You're going to need combat experience instead. It's no problem since the more you use your abilities, the better you are at it. You can use crystal cores to upgrade but level ones won't appear until next week. You both are still so weak right now. In the meantime, we'll have to train. We have a lot of supplies at the moment, enough to last us for the week so we don't have to worry about not getting to eat."

The two nodded back, indicating that they understood her words.

Mizuki Rei went to meditate and try out what Lilian Mo said. He sat cross legged at a corner with closed eyes.

Lilian Mo could immediately feel the fluctuation around him. Her eyes flashed with interest.

'We have a fast learner..'

She was no longer surprised that he was the second rank strongest wind ability users among all wind ability users. His battle instincts and ability to adapt was really top notch.

She made a good decision to bring him with her. The stronger he was, the better. This way, he could protect Mu Qingqing and Lilian Mo could rest her mind with ease.

Her eyes turned to the girl.

"Little girl, come with me. I'll teach you some moves." Mu Qingqing perked up when she heard this. She felt bored watching her fiancé meditating like Buddha in the corner so she was very happy that her Momo invited her to do something.

Lilian Mo was exasperated. She could not believe how this girl was still skipping so happily as if she was taking a leisurely stroll in the park.

For the time being, she gauged Mu Qingqing's strength and taught her how to execute decisive moves that would be critical to a mutant.

"Remember, strength is your ultimate card. If you want to win, never hesitate. Give it your all but never be reckless. Know when you're at a disadvantage. Retreat is also necessary at times. If you find a mutant that is much stronger, run away and come back only when you are stronger. The important things is to live and survive." She reminded Mu Qingqing. Because she wanted this girl to survive and never suffer or get bullied in the apocalypse, she would make sure that this girl would be strong enough to protect herself.

Mu Qingqing happily bobbed her head. "Momo, I'll definitely be as stronger this time! I won't let anyone bully you or Reirei! I'll make the mean people eat dirt and beat them to a pulp!"

Lilian Mo smiled awkwardly. Those words would have never come out of this girl's mouth if it weren't for Lilian Mo being so blunt and crass with her words. Still, it was fine as long as she got the point.

Her teaching methods wasn't so bad afterall...
