No One Is Leaving
"Hey, Auntie, have you thought about it? Are you going with me or not? I'm in a bit of a hurry so I don't have time to wait for an answer."
Feng Ran panicked. "But what about them? We're all companions here! It'll be dangerous if they were left alone!"
"Hah." Lilian Mo played with her fingernails and said, "That's rich coming from you. You don't need to pretend. In the apocalypse, it's every man for themselves. I'm giving you the easy way out. You can accompany me or stay with them. Choose."
Feng Ran was conflicted. Her cheeks turned red at how easily Lilian Mo pointed out her fake nature.
"Leaving alone? In your dreams! Don't you dare leave without us!" The hotheaded teenager suddenly yelled. He had remained quiet before but after hearing that Lilian Mo was taking Feng Ran with her and was going to abandon the rest of them, he could not stay put and just let them go.
"You want to order me around? Do you dare?" Lilian Mo spoke impatiently.
Feng Ran felt a sense of crisis when she noticed Lilian Mo's annoyance. She immediately intervened, "Little sister, I'll go with you. Just don't hurt them."
Rage began to build up in the hotheaded teenager, to the extent that veins protruded out of his skin as he exclaimed and harshly pointed at Feng Ran, "What the hell are you talking about? Didn't you say that we're all companions here? What kind of nonsense are you spouting now? No one is leaving here!"
Feng Ran clenched her fists angrily at being shouted. She pretended to be in grief. "I don't have a choice. I also want to live and I can't trouble my little sister into accepting more people. She's only one person. Even if she's strong, can she protect everyone from all those vile creature?"
Technically, no. Lilian Mo was not that kind. Moreover, she has absolutely no plans on prolonging this any longer but it seemed that these people were not going to back down easily.
"You're even more heartless than this girl!" The hotheaded teenager accused Feng Ran, his eyes filled with malice.
Feng Ran's words had caused a fire to be lit inside the survivors. They stared at her with hate. Based on what, was Feng Ran allowed to go when they were all people that were stuck in the same situation? They were people of the same country and fellow humans. Why was Feng Ran able to go when there were other people worthier?
Feng Ran's words caused restlessness in all the people that had quieten down. They had the same thoughts as the hotheaded teenager.
"Mark my words! Neither of you are leaving here!" The hotheaded teenager roared.
"That's right! That's right! No one is leaving!"
"I, your daddy also prohibits any of you from leaving! You people will stay here and accompany us!"
"The new generation are truly uneducated! With kids like these, running around, what would happen to the future of mankind?"
"Women are heartless creatures! They're all the same!"
Lilian Mo's head started pounding at the sudden onslaught of words coming from all direction. Because her senses were sharper, including her hearing, the noises badly made her head ache.
She grabbed another metal from the railings and threw it into the ground. The ground cracked as the metal sunk halfway down.
"Shut up!"
Lilian Mo's voice was like cold water, extinguishing the flames of hatred that had arisen. They all stared at her with terrified faces.
Feng Ran was stunned, never thinking that the girl would be so ferocious and scary.
"Auntie, follow me and ignore them. You aren't allowed to save any of them. Otherwise, you can forget about tagging along!" Lilian Mo started to walk away. With Lilian Mo being so decisive, Feng Ran had to swallow her pride. She quickly followed after her.
The hotheaded teenager who saw them leaving quickly erupted with rage again. Who dares leave?! He cursed at Lilian Mo filled with hate, "You want to leave and leave us to die? This boss will beat you to death! This boss will kill you first!"
Lilian Mo spun out of the way of the charging fist before unleashing a downward kick on the teenager's extended arm.
Crack.
The sound of bones breaking could be heard in the surrounding area. The teenager felt immense pain. He dropped down and held his arm that had been broken while screaming.
