Coming of the Apocalypse Queen

In the year 2XXX, a blue meteor from outer space landed on Earth and signaled the dawn of the apocalypse. More than 60% of the population was wiped out by a mysterious disease. Plants and animals turned into mutants. People gained powers and abilities. The world and the government collapsed and turned into a world where only the strong is respected while the weak are doomed to die. Lilian Mo didn't have a good life during the apocalypse. She was reduced to being a possession of her fiancé and became his glorified bed warmer. He kept her locked up in his villa and rarely allowed her to go out, keeping her around as his pet that he took care of. Though it was considered a luxury to be able to eat three times a day and drink clean water in the apocalypse when all the water sources are contaminated, Lilian Mo sneered at this kind of life and escaped her confinement meeting people along the way and gaining an ability on her own. She found 'friends' during her journey and fought alongside them through life and death, only to be betrayed by them. Lilian Mo died tragically when she was pushed to a group of mutant animals by her so-called 'friend' whom she treated as a sister. When it seemed like everything was going to end for her, she opened her eyes and went back to her sixteen-year-old body, two months before the apocalypse. "The heavens have not forsaken me." Lilian Mo swore to grow stronger and take revenge on those that betrayed her trust. Lucky for her, she was reborn with the knowledge of the future and given her own special dimension. Her golden cheats allowed her to sail through the apocalypse without worrying about food or water. After waking up two months before the apocalypse, Lilian Mo decided to set her eyes on the people that wronged her. ▪▪▪ A story about a girl's journey to becoming stronger while trying to survive in the apocalyptic world and facing the man of her past. ▪▪▪ Reminding my readers that this book's rating is [No One 17 And Under Allowed] which means it contains mature content not suitable for young readers. Read at your own discretion. This also includes gore, violence, abuse, and explicit content because the setting is an apocalyptic world. The MC is a heartless person who kills without hesitation but has a soft spot for the people she cares about. If this bothers you, feel free to drop the book. There are no major misunderstandings between the characters. Face slapping is reduced to a minimum and there are no exaggerated or draggy arguments. I only write happy endings ;) This is pure fiction. Don't expect it to be realistic. My third language is English--hoping that the Grammar Nazis would be gentle with me Cover photo not mine. I only edited it.

Lu Yi

The army truck drove smoothly, arriving at the entrance of the military base. Although everyone was tired, they all got up and readied themselves for inspection as per protocol. There were a lot of military personnel at the entrance, all of them checking the people who wanted to enter the base. The majority of them were armed with guns and grenades.

The base was not as big as everyone was expecting but it was still better than living in mutant-infested buildings or dusty old houses. There was a thick mud wall surrounding the base as a form of protection. Then there was another concrete wall that served as another layer of protection. These were thanks to the combined works of earth, metal, and strength ability users as well as volunteers to secure the safety of the base.

There was a line going on outside and an entrance for vehicles. They didn't have to line up like everyone else because Nathan Yang only had to show his face and they were given immediate attention.

Strangely enough, the other military personnel didn't pester them but some held a bit of hostility towards Nathan Yang which the others did not ignore.

Although they were granted access inside, they still need to follow protocol and undergo inspection.

"Come out, the inspection is a bit annoying but it is necessary for everyone's safety." Nathan Yang did not seem fond of the inspection either but he still went outside to be checked.

Their group opened their doors and came down. Upon leaving the vehicle, they could feel and sense countless eyes observing all over them. People who were able to dress cleanly and look healthy would no doubt attract attention. Nathan Yang had already noticed this before but under the morning light, this group's appearance was not all bad. In fact, they look even better than other military personnel.

To be able to survive well in the apocalypse meant that the group had strength, maybe even ability users among them. In short, they were capable people.

The gazes changed and became appreciative. It was good to form connections with strong people. Even if they couldn't become their friends, avoiding them and not stirring trouble was the best way to survive.

"Yang, you're back. You need to keep your brother in check. He's been pestering people since last night." A burly man wearing a military uniform approached them. He did not have the same intimidating presence as the other military men and was even smiling warmly like a friendly old uncle.

"Thank you for being Little Zhou's babysitter." Nathan Yang said seriously.

"I don't even get paid for that!" The burly man said while laughing. Then he looked at the group of teenagers.

"Hello there. My name is Lu Yi. My apologies, but the check and inspection are a requirement. Aside from that, you would have to hand over 1/10 of your supplies in order to enter..." Lu Yi was still smiling while talking and he even looked and sounded very polite for such a big man.

"Lu Yi, this is Lilian Mo." Nathan Yang gestured to her which caused Lu Yi's demeanor to change.

"Ah! Forgive me. So you're the General's little niece? Where are my manners..? Oh, I didn't sound rude, right?"Lu Yi rubbed his neck awkwardly. "Anway, it's nice to meet you. I'm very sorry about this but we have to collect 1/10 of the supplies because the current state of the base's resources isn't very good. But this will guarantee accommodation and a place to say. 1/10 is fine and if you want to donate more, that is also fine." Lu Yi smiled very kindly at them which was really a huge difference compared to Nathan Yang's cool attitude or to Ye Yu who was rude to them.

"Little Rei, this Uncle is really good. He's different from that other Uncle." Mizuki Rei looked at Fu Yangzhu with a deadpanned look. Uncle this and Uncle that. What a good way to address people.

"I can hear you, you little brat." Nathan Yang decided to add these two little bastards to his list. He would have to beat these two people up when he finds the time to do so.

"I did that on purpose!" Fu Yangzhu raised his nose up in the air, not looking the least bit guilty.

"Haha! Little kid, Yang is still very young. I am indeed an Uncle already but Yang here, is still in his late twenties." Lu Yi said as he reached out and rubbed Fu Yangzhu's head in a very familiar manner.

Fu Yangzhu froze. Being called a little kid and having his head rubbed like that, wasn't this a bit belittling? Just when he was about to open his big mouth, Mu Qianmo spoke up.

"Mr. Yi, thank you for saying this." Mu Qianmo said with a smile. "It is 1/10 of our supplies but in the meantime, this will ensure our accommodation. Does anyone have any objections to this?"

Mu Qianmo glanced at everyone, waiting for any violent reaction. Everyone was already pretty tired so they didn't refuse anymore since it was only 1/10. They still have crystal cores that can be used to trade for supplies so they didn't mind at all.
