Lu Jingren's hand on the page, tightened a bit, his heart rate picking up.
He raised the page and placed it beside Lilian Mo's face while the latter was busy looking at the map.
"So similar..." He murmured.
He was right.
Lilian Mo and that dream girl were one and the same.
Only that, something must have happened to Lilian Mo which was why her attitude has changed.
"Why did you cut your hair?" He suddenly blurted out while staring at the photo of her with long and black luscious hair.
Lilian Mo paused.
She subconsciously touched her hair. After four months, she noticed that it has grown quite long and has reached a few centimeters below her shoulders.
Or was this due to spending too long in the space which caused her hair to grow back quickly?
"Long hair gets in the way." That was Lilian Mo's only answer to the question.
She then decided to look at what Lu Jingren was looking at.
It turns out that it was her profile.
"You are really a straight A student... Let's see.. What else is there. Hobbies, cooking and... baking. Parents are deceased. Relative of General Mo, also known as Mo Yize...This is your Uncle?"
"I don't remember having an Uncle." Lilian Mo said truthfully.
"Hmm. But he is written here as your uncle and only relative who is alive."
"..."
Lilian Mo didn't comment. Except for a name and a title, who was this Mo Yize?
"You are somewhat different from what your profile says, Lilian..." Lu Jingren said aloud as he looked over all the information written.
No matter how much he looked at it, this could only be a profile of a normal high school student who is now an orphan...
Skipping the part where said orphan was left with loads of money and inheritance, he didn't think that there was anything that would indicate Lilian Mo's current fighting abilities and how she got them.
Lilian Mo could tell what Lu Jingren was curious about. In fact, the answer was very simple.
Her basic fighting skills were self-taught because she used to get in some fights with boys harassing Mu Qingqing. There was also some minor self-defense training that she attended. Then, when the apocalypse came, Lilian Mo didn't improve that much because she was always inside the villa and was never allowed outside.
Later, Lu Jingren was the one to actually teach her a few self-defense moves that could be used. When she freed herself, and finally came face to face with the harsh living situation of the apocalypse, only then did her skills improved and her fighting ability was honed.
She was not the best fighter out there but she knew enough to survive and that was what was important.
"The past hardly matters anymore." She said and took the pages containing her profile. In the blink of an eye, they burst into flames and was instantly devoured, turning into ashes that fell on the floor.
Lu Jingren looked at the grey bits of ashes on the floor before moving on to the next two profiles.
"Lin Fang."
"Lin Jiaojiao."
Lilian Mo who heard the names perked up and looked at the pages very carefully, especially Lin Fang's picture.
"He is much younger than I remember..." She murmured softly. It made sense since she met Lin Fang only after five years into the apocalypse.
He was still much younger in this picture.
As a prodigy, he graduated early and earned his license at a very young age.
His birth father was a General in the military but Lilian Mo knows that they were in a feud because of Lin Jiaojiao's existence.
Lilian Mo was aware that Lin Fang and Lin Jiaojiao were only half-siblings. They might share the same mother but their fathers were different.
General Leng Zhan was Lin Fang's father while Lin Jiaojiao's father was the General's brother. Their family was just as complicated as other people's families, making Lilian Mo thankful that she didn't have to experience so much family drama.
"You know him." Lu Jingren stated.
"Yes..." Lilian Mo nodded. "He is a doctor and Jiaojiao's brother."
"Yes... I can see that..." Lu Jingren responded.
Lilian Mo reminisced a bit. There were good and bad memories with Lin Fang such as the times where he helped her and treated her injuries...
And also those times where her life in the base was a nightmare because of his many admirers. People like Feng Ran made living and surviving very hard for her.
So while Lilian Mo knows it wasn't his fault, she really did not want to get close too much this time around.
Being around pretty boys was simply asking for trouble.
The 'pretty boy' beside Lilian Mo was frowning.
Lilian Mo has been staring at Lin Fang's picture so intense that Lu Jingren found it odd.
"Is he your type?" He couldn't help but ask.
