A Man Of My Words

Their eyes landed on the figure inside the car. With his distinct blonde hair and oceanic blue eyes, Mizuki Rei immediately recognized this person.

"Boss Ren!" He exclaimed happily, almost wanting to leap towards the person in the car.

Mu Qianmo grabbed the resins. "There's no time. Do as the Boss say."

Mizuki Rei tensed up before nodding. Right! Qingqing was the priority here!

Mu Qianmo helped open Mu Qingqing's mouth and fed the resins to her one by one. Upon contact with saliva, he was amazed to see that it melted inside the girl's mouth. The melted liquid was glowing a gold color so he tipped her head back, allowing the liquid to flow down the girl's throat.

The group witnessed a miracle happening in their eyes. The long injury on the Mu Qingqing's back started to heal. The blood vessels and skin started to knit together as if clothes being sewn together. It was strangely fascinating yet creepy to watch.

"Damn. That was cool!" Fu Yangzhu exclaimed in excitement. "I want one of those, Little Rei!"

Mizuki Rei threw an annoyed glance at Fu Yangzhu. "I don't have any on me anymore. And I wouldn't give them to you if I have them!"

"Boo! Little Rei is so mean and stingy!" Fu Yangzhu pouted. With the boy's young appearance and short height, he appeared much younger than his actual age. He was also quite shameless and cheeky which added to his charm.

Mu Qianmo ignored the two and started to clean the blood from Mu Qingqing's back and shoulders. "Sigh. How did Qingqing got hurt?" He asked aloud.

Lin Jiaojiao immediately froze and her guilty conscience made her quite nervous...

"It was an accident. We encountered a level one mutant. Momo is handling them now. Right... that girl should be done by now!" Mizuki Rei said before glancing at the hospital. His eyes bulged upon seeing that it was on fire and that the flames had spread rapidly to each floor.

"W... What?" They had only been gone for a few minutes. Why was the hospital on fire?!

"Woa... That is some huge fire over there." Fu Yangzhu whistled while watching the building that was ablaze.

"Oh no! What about Big sister Mo?" Lin Jiaojiao said in panic as she hurriedly got out of the car. She was about to run forward when a hand caught her arm and pulled her backwards. She landed on someone's lap.

"Hey, slow down. Do you want to get roasted? Look at that fire? Do you plan on charging straight inside?" Fu Yangzhu said, gesturing to the hospital that was on fire. The flames were strong and it was obvious that this was no ordinary fire. It might even be a fire caused by an ability user.

Moreover, at such a short time, the whole place had become ablaze. That goes to speak at how strong the ability user was.

"But there's still Big sister Mo inside!" Lin Jiaojiao said.

Fu Yangzhu sighed. "Even if you want to save her, do you think you can? That fire will turn you to dust the moment it lands on you."

"But our teammate is still in there... Shit, Qingqing would nag at me if she were to see this." Mizuki Rei cursed as he grabbed a fistful of his hair in frustration.

But he was also not that worried. That scary girl, Lilian Mo was strong so he had a feeling that she would be able to make it out to safety.

Unfortunately for them, they had no time to wait for the fire to die down to investigate because mutants had begun to immerge from all directions.

"Hohoho... Little Rei, I'm sorry about your teammate, but with all these babies around, we'll have to run and leave."

"NO!" Lin Jiaojiao protested, struggling in Fu Yangzhu's embrace. "Big sister Mo is still there! WE can't leave her! I know that Big sister Mo is strong but it's wrong to leave her!"

Fu Yangzhu kept a firm hold on the girl in his arms who was trying to get out of the car. "Idiot. Do you see how many mutants there are? Boss and Qingqing is injured. We can't stay here. And you said it yourself, your friend is strong so what are you worried about? They'd be able to escape but us, with wounded people in our team are at a disadvantage here!"

Mizuki Rei was in a dilemma but when he saw the unconscious Mu Qingqing and the Boss that was paler than usual, he was also at loss of what to do.

Mu Qianmo sensed the tension in the air and quickly tried to pacify the people.

"Look. First, we need to leave and get to safety. Then we can just come back to look for your other team member once the wounded people in our team have recovered. I'm only at Level one and so is Fu Yangzhu. We've exhausted our own abilities after fighting earlier. Even the two of you are exhausted judging from the looks on your faces. We are not abandoning your team member; we are only retreating. Do you both understand?"

Mu Qianmo leveled a gaze on Mizuki Rei and Lin Jiaojiao. Hearing his words, the two were able to calm down a little. Mu Qianmo sighed.

"I'll drive. Little Rei, go take care of Qingqing. And Yangzhu, let the girl go. Don't be a pervert."

Fu Yangzhu made a face and quickly pushed Lin Jiaojiao away from him. "I'm not a pervert! Brother Qian, why would I be interested on a little girl?"

Lin Jiaojiao was exasperated. She looked at her breasts and wondered where she looked like a 'little girl'?

"Hmph!" Turning away with disdain, Lin Jiaojiao moved and settled her gaze on Mu Qianmo instead.

"Brother Qian, I hope you don't go back on your words! Big sister Mo is important to us!"

Mu Qianmo smiled as he started the engine. "Rest assured. I'm a man of my words."
