Mainland Strike Force Part 2

The BRP Cordillera docks at the zamboanga port. The Alpha team walks down the stairs, and then they were met by the Staff Sergeant of the marine headquarters southern Mindanao command. "Well, I expect the Alpha team to much time proficient Technical Sergeant Sir. As of right now, it's 11 AM, and sir you arrive a bit late sir" the Staff sergeant points at the truck.

"Well, the sea at the sulu straight is a bit rough don't expect a good ride earlier when the sun rises," Revo replied and he looked at the Staff Sergeant. "And where are we going?" Revo looked at the Staff Sergeant.

"I was advised that all of the soldiers under the Alpha team will be back at the marine headquarters. And then for you sir you are to report to your commanding officer. That is all that has been relied on orders from the HIGH COM"

"Is that so" Revo bit stressed from the other previous missions that they have taken. He has been thinking especially that he is going to face some paper works back at the headquarters because of the operations he did and also the Alpha team. After that talk, all of them hop on the back of the truck, and the Staff Sergeant opens the radio.

[Flash News: Good morning, this is Sebastian of the Daily. From the recent report, the leftist armed group has continued to ravage some local cities and municipalities across Mindanao. President Ramon has ordered an operation to strike down the Leftist armed group.]

"Well what a kind of report of news, we are having aye. I think this week will be a hell week boys, be ready we are going to have no rest I think"

Revo exclaimed and the Servo at the back sigh heavily.

After that they all reached the headquarters, Revo was dropped off at the headquarters with his gears and all, his face was dirty and some of the marines were looking at him. He then gazed back at some of the marines that were passing by. He was then stopped by the military police.

"Why do you look like that? Do you really need to report looking like that?" one of the military police said and then Revo replied, "I was asked and ordered to drop by at this headquarters. So if my commanding officer, gives me some punishment will you be the one that will get punished?"

The Military police were silenced, as Revo looked at the tough Military police. And then both of them grabbed Revo's arms and then escorted him back to the drop zone of the headquarters office. "Well, I guess you two will believe me when my commanding officer is behind you?" and the two Military police turn around, and there they saw the Colonel that was standing behind them.

"Sir!" both of the military police saluted and then looked at the commanding officer. And then the commanding officer ordered in a rough tone of voice "release that man" and the two Military police let go of the arm of Revo. "I see that you came back from a mission.

Meet me at my office I just need to give this to Operation Officer" the Commanding officer said as he looked at Revo. Revo replied with a nod and then walks inside the headquarters.

The two military police were embarrassed about what they did to Revo. And both of them returned back to their positions.

Revo entered the office, and after entering the office he saw the same old office that he used to report when the Alpha Team is finished with their mission. After a few minutes, the commanding officer entered the room and closed the door. He then looked at Revo and stated

"I guess you have executed the clandestine mission very well. Now for the mission, you are assigned to search and destroy a weapon cache of the leftist armed group the NPA, it is located at the deep jungles of Tampakan near Koronadal city. This will be a joint operation with the scout rangers squad that will be assigned as a search party with Alpha team."

And then Revo looked at the paper and commented "Well, sir you know that we can work on this alone and we can do this perfectly why do we need a joint special operation with the scout rangers?" and then the commanding officer replied.

"Well as you can see the NPA has grown, and the president has ordered the secretary of defense do to something about this increasing numbers of leftist recruitment and revolutionary taxes."

And then Revo nodded, "What can I say, those leftists surely want some money from the government that is why they are doing this kind of stuff once again."

Revo stated as the commanding officer handed the envelope containing all the details and arrivals and the information that is for the mission. "I want your men to be ready by 2 days after tomorrow. That will be a good plan to initiate the attack on the New Peoples army."

Revo stood up and then saluted the commanding officer. And the commanding officer reciprocated Revo saluted, after that Revo left the office and walked towards the barracks. And like always he was looked at by all of the marines soldiers that were passing by.

``these people is this the first time they saw a marine with rifle and ammo on its chest and a bit dirty?`` Revo's face was cored with mud and his hair was messy and even his smell was quite a bit foul.

After that, he saw that all of the Servo was waiting for him. "Well, boys my guess was right. We are doing something by Friday I want all of you to practice on your shooting. The musang (Scout rangers) will be with us in this mission they said they are to support. I mean they are in a joint operation on this. We will discuss this mission by the time we are going leave. So the information is quite precious these days. So no loitering around."

After the sermon, Revo entered the barracks and head to the showers.

"So a joint operation with the scout rangers, this is new" Servo 2 looked at Servo 3 who was fidgeting with his finger.
