[LONG LI JUN POV]
Having breakfast alone felt strange though he knew his wife would be working at night and coming home in the morning, he was still expecting they could share breakfast every day.
In his mind, he knew his wife chose to work on the bar at night to avoid him. After what he almost did to her in the mansion, Xiao Zhi wouldn't let herself stay with him in one apartment at night. And though his gesture of securing Mikhail's closeness to his father was accepted by a warm embrace, it only meant gratitude and a polite understanding to live together in peace.
"How's Mikhail?" he asked the nanny eating her breakfast in the kitchen.
"Sir, he's still sleeping," the nanny replied, crunching on buttered toasts.
"Okay, Ayi. Thank you."
