Scaring them Silly!

Rai arrived at the Hokage's office to see his grandpa and Hiruzen calmly having tea and discussing something. There were 2 other people in the room Nara Shikaku and Hyuga Hiashi. Looking at the lineup Rai figured that it'd probably have something to do with going for Hinata's birthday party later in the day.

"Ah, you're here Rai. Hope you didn't cause too much trouble." – Grandpa asks nervously

"Haha. Sandaime Raikage, you sure do dote on your grandson. Surely, there can't be that much trouble that he could create." – Hiruzen asks jokingly

"Well. I didn't do much. At first I had a spar with Guy-san. That was pretty awesome. His Taijutsu is really next level." – Rai

"Wait, you had a spar with Guy. He's a Jonin you know, and quite frankly the best Taijutsu expert in the village." – Hiruzen asks incredulously

"Hehe. That's why I wanted to spar with him. Luckily, Kakashi-san knew where he was and took me to him." – Rai

"Hoh, little Rai, you're not satisfied with sparring with me anymore huh?" – Grandpa asks with a dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Not at all. I just wanted to try a different style is all. Though I can match you in speed, there's no way I can contend against your strength, so I wanted to try fighting Guy-san since his technique is top notch." – Rai

The whole time the others are just staring at their conversation, unable to comprehend what is being said. Hiruzen decides that he has to ask Kakashi about this more in detail.

"Hmm. Alright then. But seriously don't go creating more trouble." – Grandpa pleads with his eyes to not go overboard and do something like yesterday.

"Hehe. Sure. Then after that I went and had food at Ichiraku Ramen. Grandpa you seriously need to try their food. It's amazing. I also treated a yellow haired, blue eyed kid to some ramen. Funny thing is he looks super similar to the 4th face on the mountain. How funny is that?" – Rai

There was pin drop silence in the room. But Rai wasn't done there.

"Well, what was more surprising is he is just like Uncle B but unlike in Kumo, everyone seems to hate him here. I saw him getting kicked out of a store and he looked like he hadn't eaten any food in days. So, I just treated him to a meal." – Rai says coolly

Now, everyone in the room is literally sweating buckets. That was supposed to be an S-class secret.

"How did you even find out?" – Shikaku

"Huh, is that supposed to be secret or something. Every civilian already seems to know it. They were calling him demon brat and what not. The kind of hateful glares they were giving him the whole time was seriously giving me the chills. And I was only standing next to him." – Rai

That seemed to have done the trick as Hiruzen entered a coughing fit from smoking too much. Rai was just enjoying the miserable look they had on their face.

"Well. That's enough Rai. We'll make our leave now, Hokage-sama. Thank you for the invitation to your daughter's birthday Hiashi-san. We'll be there for sure. Let's go Rai." – Grandpa

Rai and his grandpa quickly bolted from there without waiting for their reaction.

"Why am I only just finding out that an S-class secret has been circulating among our civilians? And why the hell am I finding it out through someone from Kumo?" – Hiruzen asks aghast at the situation.

"We'll look into it, Hokage-sama. There's something not right with this." - Shikaku

"And why did he say that the kid looked malnourished? Wasn't he under the care of an orphanage? Ah I'm too old for this shit." – Hiruzen

"Also, someone call Kakashi here, I need him to tell me what's up with this kid." – Hiruzen

Kakashi made it to the office in under a minute.

"Kakashi, report everything. I assigned you to that kid after what you told me yesterday. Now, I'm hearing that he had a spar with Guy and that you took him there." – Hiruzen

"Ugh. It just kinda happened. I was following him as instructed, but he knew it was me and asked me to take him to Guy. I said no. But then he started going on about how I don't even know about my eternal rival and all that. Eventually I just took him there. I didn't see any harm in it." – Kakashi

"And?" – Hiruzen

"Well. Uhh. They sparred for around 15 minutes. Rai could keep up with Guy in Taijutsu even with Guy using the Eight Gates technique. He was even with Guy while using the 3rd Gate and almost forced him into opening the 5th Gate before I stopped the fight." – Kakashi blurts out

Again pin drop silence. Hiruzen just wants to bang his head on the wall right now. He has heard way too many incredulous things today. Hiruzen calmly drinking his tea allowing all this to digest. But, Kakashi wasn't done either.

"He was also using something like the Raikage's Lightning Chakra Mode but the lightning was golden in color. And he also can sue the Raikiri with the same Golden Lightning."

Hiruzen spar out the tea in surprise. Kakashi deftly dodges and continued "It was definitely superior to my own Raikiri. He showed the Raikiri to me to thank me for taking him to Guy."

"How is that thanking you? That's blatantly showing off that he can do what you can as well." – Hiashi

"He told me how to do it. Not exactly but he said Yang Release. So, i guess that it's a mixture of Lightning Release and Yang Release. As for how to do it exactly. He said I should figure out on my own and also said that I better be careful or I'll burn myself." – Kakashi

"Sigh. Where did a monster like him pop up from? And he's not even 8 years old." – Hiruzen

"Kakashi, how strong do you reckon he is?" – Shikaku

"I'd rate him as an Elite Jonin on speed alone, his physical strength should be around Jonin level, Taijutsu also Jonin Level and his Ninjutsu almost Elite Jonin Level. Overall I'd say High Jonin Rank. And this is only from what he has shown so far. I'm quite certain he has more hidden cards." – Kakashi

The room again sank into silence. The notion of an 8 year old Jonin going in their heads.

"Seems like the Raikage position is destined to pass from Grandfather to Father to Grandson. We can't make any moves on him either. We are too vulnerable right now and if anything happens to him while in Konoha. War is certain. And that Stubborn old fool will no doubt jump at his chance to attack us as well. We can't afford for anything to happen, not when we haven't recovered from the 9 Tails attack and definitely not before we know who was responsible for controlling the Kyuubi." - Hiruzen sighed

"Don't allow anyone else to know of this. And Hiashi, please entertain them to the best of your abilities. Even if we can't attack him at least we can leave a good impression in him." – Hiruzen

Hiashi nods solemnly knowing the importance of getting on the good books of someone like Rai. Initially he was only looking at him like he would any other kid from an affluent clan. But, someone with high status and with terrifying talent is not someone they should needlessly offend. I mean, seriously an 8 year old Jonin. No one would even believe him if he told anyone this. It was already surprising when Kakashi became a Jonin at 11. Hiashi smirks internally, at least Fugaku can't be all that proud about his damn son when he eventually finds out about Rai.

"I don't think you need to worry too much about him, Hokage-sama. He's terrifying but also quite laidback from what I've seen. He was able to find out about the root spy who was hiding in your office and told me about it. He didn't have to do that. He didn't have to show me his Golden Raikiri either much less tell me how he did it. He doesn't seem to be the scheming type. Just being normal with him should suffice. Yesterday, he was asking Teuchi-san to move to Kumo so that he could have his Ramen every day. Hehe." – Kakashi chuckles

"Fine. But please arrange things accordingly Hiashi." – Hiruzen

"Will do. Hokage-sama."

Rai POV

After leaving the Hokage office, they quickly went back to their accommodation.

"Rai, did you have to go and say all that? You just casually told them that you were treating their Jinchuriki to a meal and that he was not being treated nicely. What were you thinking? You know we had tried to kidnap the previous Jinchuriki before right?" – Grandpa asks in exasperation

"Haha. Relax grandpa. I mean, I already met him and treated him to food. And it's not like I was in disguise. They would eventually find out that I was with the Kid, isn't it better that I tell them myself rather than them finding out later and thinking that we're scheming to kidnap their Jinchuriki again?" – Rai replies calmly

"Fine. I won't say anything about that. But, why were you approaching the kid in the first place? I know damn well that you could have identified him as a Jinchuriki from far away. Why did you have to do that?" – Grandpa

"I just felt like it." – Rai answers back with a wry smile. No way can he say that he was fanboying over meeting Naruto and just wanted to treat him.

"You. What am I going to do with you?" – Grandpa

"Haha relax would you Grandpa. Nothing will happen. And what was this about a birthday party that you mentioned earlier?" – Rai

"Tch. Fine. Well we were invited to the Hyuga Princess' birthday party later tonight. Ugh. Hopefully no one will do something stupid." – Grandpa

"Haha. I'm sure no one will do anything with you around grandpa. They won't have the opportunity to try something on the Hyuga Princess." – Rai

"I was talking about you, you idiot. I can handle them, you're the one I am worried about." – Grandpa yells at him

"I'll be on my best behavior grandpa. I promise. Also, I guess, I'll go and buy something as a gift then." – Rai

"Whatever. Do as you please. Just don't cause trouble." – Grandpa

Rai just exited the room with a grin on his face. He didn't really think it was too bad. Sure, he was a little reckless, but with his grandpa around, it can't be too bad and even if things turn ugly he'll just summon Yoru and have them deal with an OP cat. As for keeping his identity a complete secret, he doesn't care too much about it now. He's kinda strong enough to handle himself and can definitely escape almost every situation. And, they can't lead him into a trap by kidnapping the people he cares about either. Lol. As if, it'd be easy to do something to Grandpa, Father or Uncle B.

Rai opened up his Store and started browsing for something that a 3 year old girl would like from his miscellaneous items option. Literally not giving a fuck about the commotion he caused.
