Chapter 4

Eclipse POV:

I groan as I rub my forehead. What have I gotten myself into this time? A frown settles on my lips as I make my way over to the dresser. I know what he meant by being ready for him, but that doesn't mean I can make it easy. I look in the drawers, ignoring the sexy pajamas as I grab a pair of fluffy pajama bottoms and a large t-shirt and quickly change into them.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, my head on my hands, I think about what's about to happen. He's going to want to consummate the marriage, but im definitely not ready for that. If that happens then my secret is about to come out. My body shakes at the thought as a face pops up in my head. His green eyes taunting me as his lips pulls up in a smirk. My chest heaves as I start to panic and stand, pacing back and forth.

"Dammit!" I cry out as my fist slams into the wall.

I quickly wipe away my tears and harden my face to hide the fact that I'm panicking as I hear footsteps coming closer to the door. The door opens slowly as the blonde man steps in and closes it behind him. My eyes narrow at his actions. Derek said he'd have a man check on me, but something seems wrong. I step away from him as he turns towards me, a grin on his face.

"What do you want?" I ask, desperately trying to keep the waver out of my voice.

My heart still pounded in my ears as I fought off the panicks attack that threatened to take hold.

"You're in the way. So I'm going to kill you and then I'll take the ransom money." He laughs as I snarl at him.

"I don't think your boss is going to like that."

"He won't know. All he'll know is that his new wife attacked me and i had to kill her in self defense." He lunges at me as i jump out of the way.

He moves quicker than I expected and grabs me by the neck before slamming me into the wall. I cry out as my body shakes. The panic attack that was threatening my mind was slowly gaining ground and i couldn't focus on preventing it as I was suddenly thrown a crossed the room. I scream as my back slams against the dresser with a horrifying crack. My vision tunnels as I shake all over, my body finally giving in to the panic attack. His voice sounds far away as its joined with another angry voice.

A finger tilts my chin to meet with his Blue eyes, the eyes of my captor and now my husband. His lips are moving but I can't focus enough on what he's saying. I can't even focus on what im saying. All I know is that I'm screaming and trying to push him away. He suddenly moves back, his eyes wide in surprise, but I don't really care at the moment. I pull my knees into my chest and curl into a ball as I ignore the chaos around me. Something is stuck into my arm and i lash out as hands grab me before my world fades to black.

Derek's POV:

"For the hundredth time 'kayle. Get out of my face! I dint want you slut." I growl at the woman in my office as she tries to flirt with me.

"So you want that hero bitch that's in your room over me?!" She screeches

"So what if I do?!" I yell back at her.

She grins as if she won the lottery and my eyes narrow at her.

"What did you do?" I ask calmly as I stalk towards her.

"Who says I did anything?" She retorts.

"That look on your face... what did you do? I won't ask again." I snarl.

"Let's just say that I won't have any competition before long." She grins wider.

Before I can even think, my hand comes up and slams her hard enough to send her to the ground. Blood drips from the cut on her lip as she looks up at me in surprise. I spin on my heel and hurry up to my room, hearing a commotion as I near the top of the stairs. My bedroom door opens with a bang as I freeze at the sight. Eclipse sat against the dresser, body shaking under the pajama pants and t-shirt, with Cole standing a crossed the room. Cole was my third in command and right now his face was pale as a ghost. He snaps out of it as he walks towards me.

"Derek, I was coming up here to check on her and she attacked me." He growled lowly.

My eyes narrowed at him, immediately detecting his lie. I had taught myself a long time ago on how to tell when someone was lying to me. Cole should have known better.

"Bullcrap. Makayla set you up for this." I glare at him as his face pales.

"I..i dont..." he stammers but I put a hand up and turn to my guards.

They don't even need me to say anything as they grab him and drag him out of the room. I turn to my new wife as she sits in the same spot without moving. I can hear her mumbling but can't make out the words as I walk towards her. Her body stiffens as I kneel down and tilt her chin up to look at me. Her gorgeous black eyes are unfocused as they look right through me, making me frown. Her words aren't even making sense, but I catch a name slip out of her mouth, Charles.

"Who's Charles, Eclipse?" I ask as I tilt my head, but it's like she doesn't even hear me.

I reach down to grab her arm when she suddenly screams.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" Her eyes flash and I'm suddenly pushed back by a large forcefield.

My eyes widen in surprise. How the heck did she do that?! I had power dampeners all over this room. Her body suddenly curls into a ball as the field breaks and disintegrates.

"Get the doctor in here now!" I yell at the men outside my door, listening to their retreating footsteps before turning back to the ball on my floor.

She continued the murmuring, repeating the name over and over again as her body rocks back and forth. It seemed like years before the doctor finally ran into the room. His eyes widened at the woman on the floor before grabbing a needle out of his bag.

"Derek, I need you to be ready to grab her." He orders as I nod my head and move to her side.

As soon as the needle pierces her skin, she screams and goes to attack the doctor. I quickly grab her, pinning her arms to her side, which wasn't easy. She was stronger than I ever gave her credit for.

Her body finally goes limp and the doctor helps me move her to the bed. She whimpers slightly before curling onto her side.

"What the heck was that?" I whisper as I pant for breath.

"Panic attack... seems the poor girl's gone through hell if she panicked that bad."

"What could have made her do that?" I turn my attention away from the black haired girl on my bed and focus on the man beside me.

"Honestly, I don't know. Without know what the panic attacks stimulate from, I can't pinpoint the trigger." He zips his bag closed. "You'll have to ask her in order for me to do anything about it."

I nod my head and let him leave as I sit on the edge of my bed. My eyes trail down her body before freezing on her back where the shirt had come up ever so slightly. Just above the metal band on her waist I can see a long pink scar. Moving as slowly and carefully as I can, I move the shirt up a little more ans my breath catches in my throat. Her back was littered with pink scars all over. Some were more faded than others. I drop the shirt and slide under the covers. What have I done?

My eyes close as I fall to sleep.

[Dream]

I look around to find myself surrounded by white light.

"Hello? Anyone there?" I call out.

"Hello Derek." A voice behind me causes me to jump before turning around.

Two men dressed in white suits stand there watching me.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Gabriel, and this is my associate Michael." The brown haired man replies as he motions towards the blonde man.

I frown, trying to think of where I knew those names.

"You're angels! The messenger angel and Warrior angel from the Bible!" I exclaim as I suddenly remember the stories my father had told me.

Before he had left, my father tried to teach me the Bible and about God. But after he was gone, my mother forbade me from reading it.

"Yes we are." Michael grins.

"But.. th..that means..." I stammer.

"The Bible is correct? Yes it does. God sent us to talk with you about your new wife." I gulp as Gabriel speaks. " have you ever heard of Soulmates Derek?"

"Yes I've heard of them..."

"God creates a soulmate for every person, but some are more in tune to their mate than others. Werewolves know who their mates are by using scents and sparks, while human's often don't know who it is. Those who do are the ones who talk about 'love at first sight. You and Eclipse are Soulmates."

My mouth drops open as I try to find words.

Gabriel laughs at me before continuing. "You made a big mistake when you kidnapped Eclipse, but God is willing to give you one more chance. Give Eclipse the choice to go home, and whatever answer she gives you... abide by it. If you do then God will handle the rest."

My head falls so my chin is on my chest as a tear slips from my eye. He's asking me to give up my soulmate, the one person who may ever love me, and trust Him? I slowly nod my head. I hurt my soulmate, so if she leaves me then I'll except my punishment.
