Chapter 1: Standard 2019

Alex Zenta rolled out of bed hitting the ground with a thud, he let out a groan, he sat up combing his tangled medium length brown hair, getting up looking into a mirror, yawning a bit. He didn't have a well-toned body, but his body was about average for someone who is only eighteen. He proceeded to get dressed, heading downstairs, he heard some commotion as he walked into the kitchen, he saw his mother and his girlfriend.

They were making box lunches for Alex and his girlfriend, they were both giggling like a bunch of schoolgirls, Alex's girlfriend, caught a glimpse of him, she hopped over to him, wearing a standard female uniform from their school, her black hair, was tied back into a ponytail, her bright blue eyes stared into Alex's forest green eyes.

She stood up onto her tippy toes a little bit to kiss Alex on the lips.

"Good morning baby." Aiko said.

"Morning, you seem giddy this morning Aiko." Alex said.

"Of course, your mom is talking about your childhood." She replied.

"Mom!" Alex said aloud.

"But you were just the cutest." His mother said.

"Show me more pictures when school is over." Aiko said.

"I will look for the best pictures." She replied.

Alex sighed, walking toward the family Dojo. Alex was Half American, Half Chinese, his mother met his father when she was studying overseas, and he was in a Karate tournament. It was love at first sight, if that is even possible, he was born and raised in Kyoto.

Alex performed his early morning Karate training that his father had him start at a young age, for a short while he didn't like, but it stuck, which he liked. After his training, he grabbed his bag, boxed lunches and practically had to drag Aiko away from his mother.

Alex met Aiko in middle school after she had to move to her grandparents, at first, he didn't ask, but after they got used to each other, she told him because someone broke into her house, killing her parents, she was able to hide, Alex was there to comfort her. While walking to school, an ambulance drove by, as Alex watched it go by.

"Again, I just hope they capture a person, killing all these people." Alex said.

"Y-Yeah." Aiko replied.

"Don't worry, I will keep you safe." Alex said.

Aiko smiled, as they headed to school, there was a large group of people outside, Alex pushed his way through to see a bit, the cause of the commotion was due to a limo, an older looking man, opened the back door, as a young-looking girl stepped out, she had waist length platinum blonde hair, ice blue eyes and a noble looking dress.

Must the guys be happy and curious, he looked at Aiko then shrugged, until a sudden chill shot up my spine, he looked over seeing the young girl staring toward him, Aiko had a mad looked in her eyes, until Alex grabbed her hand, her eyes softened, looking at him and smiles. She kissed his lips, from the corner of Alex's eye, he caught a glimpse of the young girl, whispering something to her butler, as he nodded, getting into the limo driving away.

The girl, along with a mob of people went into the school, a short while later, before class started the teacher introduced a new student, which so happens to be the noble girl, a few things peeked Alex's curiosity, one she was his age, she happened to be in the same class and her name Alice Newrite, Newrite was his mother maiden name.

Once our break came around, everyone was crowding Alice, asking her so many questions. Alex was glad that no one really knew his mother's maiden name, so they wouldn't ask him any unneeded questions. Aiko was still looking at Alice with the eyes to kill, Alex leaned over placing my left hand onto her right shoulder, her eyes softened, turning her head toward Alex, smiling softly.

Aiko took out their box lunches, handing one to Alex, as they ate their lunches together, having small talk, Alex felt the eyes of Alice on him, she left to have lunch in the cafeteria, along with a group of people.

"Little Miss Noble is quite popular already." Alex said.

"I don't like her." Aiko said.

"I can tell, you're glaring daggers at her, why is that?" Alex asked.

"She is pretty, I don't want her to take my man away." She replied.

Alex let out a loud laugh, seeing Aiko's face turn red.

Some time passed by, as Alex was getting ready to leave, until he heard the voice of a girl.

"Excuse me, can you please help me with something."

Alex turned around, seeing none other than Alice.

"Um yeah, I can help you, Alice." Alex said. "What do you need help with?"

She was studying Alex over, which made Alex feel off, after the studying she asked her question.

"Do you know anything about miss Aiko?" Alice asked. "I overheard her saying that I may take you away from her, I would like to know more about her, so we can become friends."

Alex smiled, as he started to feel calm.

"Well, she has been living with her grandmother, since her parents died when she was younger, also I think she is in Drama Club." Alex said.

"Thank you." Alice said bowing.

Alex watched her leave, as Alex collected the rest of his things, then left the classroom. He heard people talking about the recent unsolved crimes, he came upon the Drama Club, he peeked in looking for Aiko.

"Alex, if you're looking for Aiko, she left with a foreign looking girl." A Female Student said.

Alex nodded for a thank you, as he started looking for Aiko and Alice, things have been going a bit strange ever since Alice arrived, he has never seen Aiko with such murderous intent in her eyes.

"So, this is the form you have taken after you killed the original many years ago?" Alice said, with her voice echoing from outside.

Alex looked outside seeing Alice, her butler and Aiko, he stayed where he was as he listened.

"What are you asking Alice?" Aiko asked. "What do you mean by original?"

"Cut the small chat you know full well what you are, Arthur does her in." Alice said.

"As you wish milady." Arthur said, walking forward taking out a long metal object, pressing it to his left forearm.

"Pseudo Henshin!" Arthur yelled.

The object formed to his right arm, as his arm became armed with a long slim metal object formed into his hand.

"It's only a Pseudo Henshin, but he is equipped with the Jikan Second Blade, I won't explain what it can do though." Alice said.

Arthur ran forward, jabbing the Jikan Second Blade forward, as it hit Aiko screamed, as she slid back.

"That's enough!" Alex yelled, jumping out of the window, it wasn't his smartest idea, since he was on the third floor.

He slid off the side of the school, doing a front flip landing on his feet.

"Wow, I didn't know that would work." Alex said. "Anyway, you have no reason to pick on a defenseless girl."

Alex turned, taking Aiko by the wrist pulling her away from the school.

"Gran ... Alex you don't know what you are doing!" Alice yelled. "Arthur go after them."

"With pleasure Miss Alice." Arthur said.

Arthur ran after the two of them.

"I knew he would have been like this; I should have planned this out better." Alice said, rubbing her forehead.

As Alex and Aiko ran, they hid behind a building.

"Aiko, why are those people after you?" Alex asked.

"I-I don't know, kiss me I need to calm down." Aiko said.

As Aiko leaned in to kiss Alex, but was stopped before she had the chance, as Arthur's weird Rapier was thrusted between them, as it broke a part of the building. A small growl resonated from Aiko's throat, as Alex looked at her weird.

Did she just growl? Alex thought to himself.

Arthur continued thrusting his Rapier at Aiko, as she kept moving back dodging the hits, she jumped back quite a bit.

"What the?" Alex said loudly.

"She isn't human Alex; she hasn't been since you have met her." Alice said, walking up. "She killed the real Aiko shortly before she arrived here."

"What the hell are you talking about!" Alex shouted.

"She is what we call an Aberration, they each have a certain ability that helps kill humans, they feed on that person's time they have left to live." Alice said.

"Are you mental!" Alex yelled, he went forward until he was stopped, as Alice grabbed his wrist.

"Alex, don't be fooled by her, we are here to keep you safe." Alice said.

"I don't need help from a stranger!" Alex yelled, shaking Alice's grip off, running toward Aiko, standing in front of her. "If you want to get her you have to get through me."

"Stop Sir Newrite, get away from her!" Arthur yelled.

"I will not, I will keep ..."

Before Alex could finish, he heard something like meat being cut, he looked down seeing a long needle run through his heart, Arthur had blocked the point with his arm, but it still pierced through it. He looked toward Arthur and Alice, blood trickled down his chin, he felt blood dripping down onto his feet.

The needle was pulled out in a swift motion, as he dropped down to his knees falling forward. Alice caught him falling to her knees. Alex's skin turned ghostly pale, his hearing and vision was fading fast. He only heard a few things before blacking out.

"Arthur ... kill ... stay alive ... Grandfather ... " Alice said.

Alex closed his eyes, as he died bleeding out.
