Chapter 86

After marching for 2 weeks, Maximus and his Imperial army had arrived at Darry. But instead of the Lord of the castle coming to meet them, instead it was a person who called himself the representative of the people of Darry.

"My Lord, My name is Cedrick Durwell, and I was chosen to represent the people of Darry in these negotiation's"

"My name is Marcus Placidius a member of his Majesty's Imperial Guard, but before we proceed where is the Lord of Darry" Asked Marcus

Cedrick hesitated for a moment before he answered, "The Lord of Darry has fled the Castle a couple of day's ago upon hearing that your army was marching here and his current ware about's are unknown"

"I see that is truly unfortunate, but I have wasted enough time talking so let's just get down to business" Said Marcus

"His Imperial Majesty want's you to open up your gate's so that our army can march through and proceed to Kingslanding refusal will result in your Castle being burned to the ground"

Cedrick was shaking just from hearing that statement and wondered why he accepted such a task of meeting with the leader of this army "the People of Darry are willing to open the gate's since we are firm believer's and supporter's of Deanery's Targaryen who we have heard is one of the Emperor's wives and because of this we will open the gates"

Although she wasn't his wife yet, which was a common mistake made by many people, so Marcus didn't say anything and instead thanked the man

"Thank you Ser Cedrick His Majesty will be delighted to hear this so if you will excuse me I will go inform his Majesty of your decision so have the gate's open, so we can march through" Said Marcus

"Yes my Lord they will be open" Said Cederick as he left to go tell the outcome to the rest of the castle.

Marcus returned to the army and informed Maximus of what happened. Moments later, the Gates of the castle were opened and the Imperial army marched through.

Cersei the queen regent was currently in Kingslanding looking at a piece of paper that had information on it. After reading all of it, she balled it up and threw it on the floor and slammed her hands on her desk.

"Why must they always interfere" said Cersei, referring to the Empire which always interfered with her plans.

The piece of paper that she read was from one of her allies that told her that both the Reach and Dorne are marching armies towards their territory.

The Reach were marching to start sieging Castle's in Lannister lands with another army of the Reach that would start marching from Oldtown to siege Lannisport while the Dorne along with another army which is rumored to be an army of half men claiming to be army Dwarves under the Empire is marching towards Kingslanding.

She has been building up the defenses of Kingslanding ever since Dragonstone was taken by the Empire. She has 90k soldiers defending the walls of Kingslanding which used to be 150k but the 60k was the army that she sent to Highgarden to destroy House Tyrell, but now that army was completely gone.

Furthermore, she tried to hire some mercenaries from Essos, but that proved useless as no army wanted to fight against the Empire since being from Essos they knew the Empire's strength and wouldn't dare to try and challenge them.

She was also receiving multiple petition's from the Iron Bank to pay back the money that the Kingdom and House Lannister owes them. If she doesn't pay it back in time, she will have hell to pay for it.

But right now her major problem was the armies which were converging on Kingslanding and if nothing is done about them then she will possibly lose her life and so will her son.

She already had lots of defenses prepared to defend Kingslanding and would even use Wildfire to fight against any invading army.

And she also has a new invention, a weapon that could pierce even a dragon's skull, that she would use against the Emperor and his Dragon's. Little did she know those insignificant weapons were useless.

She had sent Raven's out to multiple lord's who she assumed were her allies, but so far none of them had responded. And the more time passes on, the closer those armies get to Kingslanding.

Meanwhile, at Dragonstone you could see hundreds of ships in the sea preparing to sail for Kingslanding where they will blockade the port and Naval invade the city once the siege begins.
