THE VACATION

Phyllis and Amelia arrived in Dubai and were lodged at Palazzo Versace Dubai which is a minute's walk from the Dubai Creek and a seven minute walk from the Dubai Cultural Village. The hotel had a spa, gym, business centre, pool and a first class restaurant which made customers comfortable and relaxed. Their rooms had already been booked by Amelia's Personal Assistant so they were ushered into their rooms as soon as they showed their booking receipts to the receptionists. They both loved the cosiness of their rooms especially their washrooms and balconies. You could see the beautiful scenery of the city when you stand on their balconies with a feel of cool breeze as well. They loved the atmosphere as well.

Phyllis called Denzel as soon as she settled in her room. Denzel requested for a video call so that he could see her beautiful face and her room and its environs as well. She noticed he wasn't in his house as they were talking and she noticed he wasn't in his house though he was in his pyjamas so she got suspicious of him but he told her he was with Godfred, his colleague. He called Godfred so that he would say hello to Phyllis. They therefore exchanged pleasantries after which she told him to take good care of her Denzel for her. Denzel didn't tell her about the attack on his life but told her he felt lonely in his house because of her absence so he decided to also spend time with Godfred since they were working on a case together. He then asked her to give the phone to Amelia so that he could talk to her so she took the phone to Amelia in her suite.

Phyllis left Amelia in her room after she had given the phone to her. Denzel thanked her for agreeing to take Phyllis out of the country for a vacation since her life and that of the baby's were at risk because they who was after her life but didn't have enough evidence to prove their suspicions. The man was a very powerful and influential man in their state and they would need more than suspicions to prove themselves. They suspected him because when they read Phyllis' diary they realized the man has been diverting funds from Richards International and she was bent on exposing him. They started digging for information on the man without informing Phyllis because they didn't want her involved. Denzel told Amelia about the assassination attempt on his life after he left their Airport and the Police protection he was receiving but told her not to tell Phyllis else she would be worried and would cut short the vacation to come back home which he thought would be dangerous for both of them.

He asked her to take good care of Phyllis and inform him about any unusual incident and hanged up.

Denzel applied for a month's leave so that h could continue with the investigation into the attempted murder against Phyllis and himself. The leave was also to hide from the perpetrators and be protected from an untimely death. He decided to go solo in the investigation without involving the police or anyone else because he didn't trust the police and he also didn't want to put anyone in danger. He was able to acquire more evidence on the illegal activities the man was conducting using his position at Richards International as a cover up and the diversion of funds he had been doing against the company.

Phyllis and Amelia were having fun in Dubai. They went sightseeing and shopping while they they took lots of pictures. Phyllis was eager to post their pictures on her social media handles but Amelia dissuaded her from doing that but she proved stubborn until she used her pregnancy to convince her. She told her it was good for her to stay off social media until she delivers since she's hiding it from her family. Amelia's reason from preventing her from posting the pictures was to prevent her from exposing their whereabouts to the perpetrators.

On one sunny afternoon, the ladies decided to go to the pool to enjoy the breeze. Amelia was dressed in a beautiful sexy pink swimsuit while Phyllis wore a pair of shorts with a sleeves top because of her baby bump. When they got to the poolside, Ame, as Phyllis affectionately calls her, asked that they go into the water to swim but Phyllis politely declined the invitation because she didn't know how to swim and that made Amelia sad because she didn't want to swim alone so she also sat with Phyllis in the pub around the pool. They were approached by a young handsome young man who introduced himself as Saif Khan, a native of Dubai. He asked Amelia to join him in the pool which she obliged.

They had a nice chat after they had finished swimming and they exchanged numbers. Saif took her on a date in the evening on his father's yacht. They had a good time together as they both were good conversationalists. They shared business ideas and later talked about relationships. Saif later requested for a dance and she obliged. She called her father to inform him so that he would report to the police and also organise a search party for him. Her father was angry with the all of them for keeping such a secret from him knowing that their lives were in danger. He promised to keep her posted on any development. He also asked her to take good care of Phyllis and to keep things from her because she was in a delicate situation. He told Amelia to tell Phyllis that Denzel was with him on a trip so that she would be relaxed.
