Declan
“I wish we could stay here forever... just the two of us.” Henley smiled as we packed our things, preparing to leave the beach house the following morning.
“Me, too.” I zipped up my suitcase, hating to have to go back so soon. “But one good thing is that we’ll still have time to go to Ireland once we’re cleared.”
During the course of the week, I had spoken to Sam, and he had decided to cremate Isabel and spread her ashes at the edge of the ocean.
However, the police were still investigating and were holding the body. But once the body is released, Sam plans to have a proper funeral. For now, Isabel’s body was kept in the morgue. I hated the thought of her lying on a cold, hard slab. As much as she had done to me, she didn’t deserve that. No one did.
