She's a Fairy

Azaliah POV

My body moved on my own, I couldn't control my limbs as I moved towards Adrian. All I wanted was to curl up in a ball and cry forever. I wanted them back, my parents and Felix, but an unseen force-controlled my body. I watched myself from the back of my mind as I raised my hands and touched his forehead and said two words in a language that I didn't know.

"Nwod Mlac"

And after I said those words, my mind became hazy and I shut my eyes to meet darkness. Only this time, when I opened my eyes, I wasn't in a bed or on the grass. I was floating. I was bloody floating in the air. My body moved on its own floating down towards a little field.

And in that field was a little girl with red hair. Her back was turned away from me. She appeared no older than four years old. She was alone in a field of flowers, a field of red lilies. The flowers alone were an odd shape. It looked familiar to me as if I've seen it before especially in this field.

‘So you've finally returned.’

The little girl with flaming red-haired turned towards me. And in her hands was a flower crown embedded with the red lilies.

‘This crown will be yours when you are ready.’

She walked towards a pillar that had engravings on it. And then she placed the crown on top of the pillar. It was designed as if it was made for the crown.

"Who are you?" I managed to float towards the lilies. And she came forward and reached for my hands. I was afraid of this little girl but also curious. The wind swayed around us and the air felt odd.

‘I am someone that once existed. I have been forgotten by everyone-‘

She paused and I felt the mark on my forehead begin to burn. And then I heard a faraway voice. So distant that it was impossible to hear in a valley of flowers.

'Wake up' Said the voice.

‘Maybe not everyone,’ the little girl smiled and then she bent down and plucked a flower. She took my hands and I was reluctant and wanted to push myself away from her. That was until she placed the red lily in my hands.

‘This is for you. Thank you for visiting me after so many years.’ Her eyes were filled with tears and when I reached out to wipe her tears away. This world had begun to fade away.

•°•°•

Once again I awoke in this room. I groaned from the pain as I tossed and turned on the bed.

“Whoa calm down Azaliah,” I heard Isaac say trying to calm me down.

“It hurts… it hurts so much!” I retorted sinking my nails into my skin, trying to stop the pain. Only after I saw the blood drip, did the pain become appeased. I panted and looked up at Daniel tiredly.

He looked scared but angry and looked at my wounded arm, “Don’t ever do that again!” He yelled.

“Sheesh I’m not dying as yet,” I countered and sat upright on the bed.

“So why did I faint this time?” Mumbling I decided to get out of bed, the pain slowly disappearing for now.

Isaac grimaced.

“What?” I asked as I pulled a jacket from Jade’s closet. In fact the jacket belonged to me. It was my studded rock star jacket that Jade ‘borrowed’ from my closet.

“You don’t remember anything?” He asked cautiously as if walking on egg shells.

“All I remember is crying and falling off to sleep on Jade,” I mumbled as he opened the door for me. I thanked him as we made our way down stairs.

“But that’s not what-“ Isaac was cut off my Jade glomping me in a hug.

“My best friend is finally awake!” She grinned, her cheerful self-shone on her features.

“You’re very happy today,” I replied as she released me.

“Today we’re going to start your training,” She happily contorted.

I nervously chuckled, “Uhm what training?”

Jade pulled me to the living room and pushes me to sit on the couch. She handed me a tray of food not at all pretending to be strange. Isaac sat opposite of me while Jade sat near me. I carefully but quickly ate all of my food. I wasn’t sure when last I ate but the pancakes and hot chocolate filled me up.

“Wow you ate twenty pancakes so quickly, do you want more?” Jade asked getting up to grab my tray.

“Wait no its okay, I’m full now,” I say and wake up to leave the tray in the kitchen.

I turned to Isaac, “Is Jade acting strange to you?”

Isaac shook his head, “Not in the slightest.”

Both of them were acting strange and I needed to find out what it was that got both of them to be so-

It only took a glance at the window to freeze my thoughts. It wasn’t what was on the window that piqued my interest but of what was on the cherry blossom tree outside in Jade’s garden. I opened the sliding door and rushed outside to find tiny creatures… no tiny tree spirits… wait how did I know what it was?

“Ah man, are you kidding me? So that means I lost again,” Isaac frowned with a deep sigh.

I glanced back at him, I couldn’t respond to him as I slowly went forward to the little flying creatures.

“See I told you guys, but no, you don’t listen,” Jade exclaimed stepping outside to stand next to Isaac.

The little tree spirit noticed me and fluttered towards my raised hand. It sat on my finger and curiously gazed at me.

“So she’s a fairy after all,” I heard Daniel whisper.

My mind was focused on the tree spirit, ‘You’re very beautiful,’ the little tree spirit whispered and then floated around my head and then the cherry blossom tree suddenly became alive as many butterflies came forth to surround me. They played with my hair but I didn’t mind. They began to weave a flower crown on my head as butterflies rested on it.

I smiled at the different colors that flew around me and spun around enjoying the… I chuckled… I was enjoying their magic that enriched me. The butterflies and tree spirits covered my view completely and when they slowly began to disperse. I could hear a few gasps coming from behind me. A flower crown was placed on top of my head. My clothes were transformed to a flower dress. On my wrist was a flower bangle. It was as if I was nature itself.

I then heard a low but sad voice stutter, “So you’re a fairy Caelestian,”
