Practical Exam: Shoto & Momo VS Aizawa(1)

"Senpai," Kiera's voice said on the phone. "Senpai? Are you there? I called because Onisuka-sama told me to check on you."

"Kiera-san, just be quiet for a few minutes." I answered back, not looking at the phone on the ground as I stood in the bathroom stall. "I don't care what your 'Onisuka-sama' said. If you called to check on me, there's no need. I only answered because I didn't know who you were since I don't have your number."

I leaned against the stall door, gripping a knife in my hand as my blood dripped from my arms. Pain was always a good stress reliever. It never fails to help me with stress.

"I'm sorry for interrupting," Kiera said. "Onisuka-sama has a mission for you when you are done with your exams. I apologize for bothering you." And she hung up.

I dropped the knife on the floor and sighed. If I actually had good parents, would this have happened? Probably not.

"Yuno-kun," Shoto came into the bathroom and picked up my phone off the floor. "This isn't really good for you."

Oh, well, of course you would know that.

"Isn't your exam after Tenya-San and Mashirao-san's?" I asked, picking up the knife and wiping the blood away with a towel I grabbed from my pack. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for that?"

I opened the stall to see a worried look on Shoto's face. I sighed and felt the blood on my arms come off. My sleeves, soaked with red liquid beforehand started to dry as the blood floated into the air.

"Look, I'm completely fine. It's not like I can die from blood loss. I have more blood then anyone in world." I took bandages out of my pack and booped Shoto's nose with it. "That's what allows me to use my Quirk without killing myself."

I took my phone from his hands and wrapped the bandages around my arms, covering the cuts I had given myself. Right now, Tenya and Mashirao were in the middle of their exam with Power Loader as their opponent.

"Oh, they finished already, huh?" I said as the doors opened into the surveillance room. The first thing I saw in the screen was Mashirao being thrown through the escape gate, which means they passed. Although, it caught me off guard that Tenya was stuck under the ground with only his head sticking out.

Tenya is kinda cool…but he is just ridiculous sometimes.

"Hello, Yuno-kun," Tsuyu said. I guess she found her way here while I was gone. "I was wondering where you were. I thought you would be here critiquing everyone."

"What do you take me for?" I asked as I cradled my head in my hands while leaning back a bit. "I'm not someone who would critique every little thing I-"

"Yuno-kuuun!" Toga jumped into my back, wrapping her arms around my neck.

This son of a bitch…

"How come you keep leaaaving? I wanna hug youuu!"

I stared out into space as my eye twitched in irritation. I just came back from stress relieving myself and things immediately go to shit.

"Please, someone, end my suffering and send me off to hell." I said, my eyes twitching in irritation as I smiled.

The others in the room winced at the plea. Who asks to be sent to hell? I do, go figure.

"Team Shoto and Momo, practical exam. Ready? Go!"

Now Shoto's exam was starting. I wasn't too worried about Shoto. Although he's impulsive when it comes to attacks and he relies on rite force, he's still swift, agile and more strategic then others. Momo, however, had been broken down like robot's wires being ripped out. She no longer had the confidence from when I first joined this dumb class. Ever since she fought Kisu, she's been very quiet and gloomy about practical tests.

"Let's go." Shoto said as Momo stared off in space with no response. "Momo-san!" That caught her attention. "Are you nervous?"

"No…" Momo finally answered.

"Well, considering who we're up against. But I have an idea."

Oh, what is this idea you have, Shoto? The two ran through a narrow alleyway. Momo still had that gloomy and nervous look on her face.

"It doesn't matter what you make, keep creating small objects. When you can't make anymore, that means Mr. Aizawa is close. This exam will depend on who finds the other first." They found their way out of the alleyway. "Once we see him, I'll draw him to me. Then, you should run to the escape gate. Stay with me until then."

Momo looked down at the ground, her expression showing that Shoto's plan wasn't the first thing on her mind.

"What's wrong? Hurry up and make something." Shoto sounded kind of impulsive that time.

Momo started to create little dolls as they continued running. They seeped out from her skin and fell down onto the ground. Shoto looked back with a rather confused expression.

"I know I told you to make something, but what exactly are those?"

"Oh, these?" Momo stuffed the dolls in her pouch. "They're just Russian matryoshka dolls."

"I see. Well, let me know if notice anything strange going in with your Quirk."

"I expect nothing less from you, Shoto-kun." Momo said.

"About what?"

"You were able to come up with a plan to use against Mr. Aizawa so quickly and you were able to determine what would be best at once."

"It's nothing special…" Shoto shrugged it off.

"Nothing special, huh…?" Momo suddenly stopped running. "As students who got in through recommendations, we started from the same place, but in terms of the practical skills a hero would need, I haven't done anything that stands out. During the cavalry battle, I just did what you told me to. In my own fight, I lost before I could really do anything against Kisu-chan."

Shoto stared for a bit before his eyes widened with caution. Completely ignoring Momo's problems, he said, "Momo-san, your matryoshkas…he's near!"

"I'm sorry, Shoto-kun!"

"If you realize that, then you should start acting immediately." Aizawa said as he dangled on the power lines, his scarf holding his weight. His n this case, you should start privatizing evasion," Shoto swiped at him as he dropped down to the ground. "Since I just stole a march on you."

"Momo-san!" Shoto raised his leg and kicked at Aizawa, keeping Aizawa focused on him. "Go!"

Momo hesitated for a few seconds, but ran away in the end.

"That was your plan?" Aizawa wrapped his scarf around Shoto and lifted him up to keep him in place. "If that's the case, then this will be easy. Either way, I'd been planning to catch you first since you're the offense."

"You think you've caught me?" Shoto asked. "I can freeze or burn these restraints in an instant."

"I don't care which you do," Aizawa threw out sharp metal caltrops on the ground, right under Shoto. "Just be careful where you land."

"What are you, some kind of ninja? Coming up with such unpleasant countermeasures…"

"It's different from the time with the hero killer." Aizawa reached into his pocket and pulled out eye drops before putting a few drops into his eyes. "I know the Quirks and numbers of the heroes. I'm perfectly prepared to intercept you. Your plans placed a pretty heavy burden on you. It's nice to try and be considerate to the girl, but you should've talked it over more."

And with that, Aizawa was off. He went to go and find Momo, who was frantically running away toward who knows where.

Shoto gave a thoughtful look. He was most likely thinking about how much he, no, both of them, could've done if they simply talked it over together.

"She's obviously lost her confidence since the Sports Festival," I said as Aizawa chased after Momo. I then stared at Kisu, who gave a dumbfounded expression and pointed and pointed at herself.

"YaoMomo-chan definitely lost confidence," Toga said before nipping at my ear. "Mr. Aizawa is gonna hit her where it hurts. No way that's gonna be cute at all!"

Aizawa's scarf zoomed toward Momo and caught her by the arm, pulling her towards him. Her eyes widened as she realized her Quirk wasn't erased. She created an iron circle and slipped her hand out before running in the opposite direction.

"Back to Shoto-San, huh?" Aizawa said as he landed on a rooftop.

"She's left all the decision making to him, poor child." Recovery Girl shook her head. "The poor girl has decided that he's better then her. Emotionally, she's still a child of 15. I'm sure Aizawa would like to help her regain confidence. But, unfortunately, that's not his job right now."

Momo kept running until she arrived back where Shoto was. He was still dangling there with that thoughtful look, seeming like he was in a trance.

"Shoto-kun!" Momo broke him of his hyponsis. "I'm sorry, I couldn't just leave!"

"Momo-san, Mr. Aizawa is coming!"

Momo looked back to see that Shoto was right. Aizawa was coming. He ran toward them in the power lines like he was some sort of ninja. Momo looked from Shoto to Aizawa, her expression saying that she was panicking.

"Momo-san!" Shoto caught her attention. "You've got a plan, right? Sorry, I should've asked earlier if the plan was okay. You have an idea, right?"

"But your plan didn't work, so how could mine be any better?" Momo started to doubt herself.

"It's fine, just spit it out! I'm saying that you're the one more suited for this kind of stuff! When we were voting for class president, before anyone even knew about Yuno-kun! Remember, you had two votes. One of those was mine. Because I thought you'd be good at it!"

Momo's eyes sparkled as her boost in confidence started to kick in. Now she's getting the hang of things. She reached into her pouch and grabbed the dolls that were still there.

"Shoto-kun!" She threw them into the air where Aizawa was. "Close your eyes!"

Aizawa swiped at the dolls and opened them. Inside them were grenades, flash grenades. A bright light shines and stung his eyes, distracting him. Momo let Shoto down from the restraints.

Things are getting serious now.
