Episode 3 : Monster Dungeon (1 / 3)

After a week's journey, I was finally able to reach the dungeon where every Scarlet Family should complete their education.

When I left the carriage, I walked about five hundred meters. The dungeon was already showing itself. It was like a light cave entrance. However, the inside was paved with stone bricks. I saw decrepit skeletons on the floor with a slight musty smell. There were torches that spoke to illuminate my vision every ten meters as I continued on my way.

The corridor was big and that's why I was ready to fight at any moment. According to the books I have read, dungeons were the most important ancient structures to be considered. A dungeon would never disappear until its heart was destroyed. So far, only eighteen dungeons have been destroyed on Earth.

I don't know how long it's been, but I guess I've been walking for half an hour. There was nothing in front of me but old and rotten skeletons. Just when I was about to say I was tired of it, I heard a mechanism sound where I pressed it. I was startled by the sound I heard. I knew by name that I had activated a trap. It was my first trap and I didn't know what to do. That's why I decided not to lift my foot. I took a look around for a while. After about five minutes of observation, I saw slightly dark hollows in the corners of the dungeon. It was enough for one arrow to fit.

I decided to pull my foot. As soon as my foot came out of the mechanism, your body told me to run. Of course, I've heard the sounds of arrows being fired. But I never panicked. Because I already saw where the arrows were going to go!

As soon as I raised my foot, I bent my body and took a posture with a ballerina-style movement. I heard an air coming from under my ear. Then this sound made an explosion on the wall. I realized that I could not stand where I was and immediately ran down the road that continued to the dungeon. So, the trap of dungeons is just not to get caught...

I don't know how long I ran for, but as time went on, my escape speed increased from the arrows coming from the right and left. My reflexes were constantly improving. I was in an endless loop. Every time I stepped on the floor, I heard the sound of a mechanism.

At last I could not bear it, and after stopping my steps at once, I activated my blood fire. I was covered in blood. I was bleeding from small cuts because the arrows coming at me were grazing. As I felt the change in my body, I felt a burst of power. It melted as soon as it touched my shoulder, which happened to me. When my whole body was covered with blood, it was as if I was wearing an armor of fire.

After I got into this situation, I started studying the mechanisms. How they stand and how they line up and so on...

From the results of my examinations, I could now see the mechanisms in advance. That's why I didn't activate any mechanisms along the way. I was more careful now.

And the blood on me had already evaporated after a while. That's why I didn't have fire armor anymore.

As I was walking along the dungeon path, I heard a growl in front of me. And then I saw a monster jump on me from the darkness towards me. I immediately drew my sword, which was tied with silver and black cloth around my waist. I cut off the claw of the wolf-like monster that came at me in a snap. He let out a groan with his paw falling to the ground. And I attacked him immediately, knowing it was an opportunity. He attacked first!

When my sword touched his neck, it ricocheted as if it had encountered a hard rock. I found this situation strange and immediately woke up my blood fire. When my eyes got night vision, I saw that the feathers on the monster's neck were made of stone. I wasted my opportunity because I couldn't see out of the dark.

The monster immediately retreated after my attack and then attacked me again. But this time it wasn't directly on me. He tried to surprise me by maneuvering right and left. He smiled when he saw this, and I showed him my fire with a pinch of blood in my left hand while holding my sword in my right hand.

I cut off my left palm a little with my sword and splashed the flowing blood onto the monster that was coming towards me. When the beast didn't know why I was doing this, he didn't care about the blood and continued his movement. However, when he touched one of the blood feathers, his entire fur was engulfed in flames.

As the monster was moaning with pain, I approached the throat part and saw the opportunity to cut it off, and I had an intersection. And then, without waiting, I put my hand where I cut it off. The Blood Fire ate his food in seconds.

Hah... I think it's one more monster and then I feel like I'm going to break the first shackle. There were traces of joy of my first victory on my face. It was easy, but it was a little tiring.

I decided to get some rest and took one of my apples, which was in the small bag I brought with me. After eating the apple, I felt a little full. That was already enough for me. After that, I drank some water and the dryness left in my throat was removed.

After a small break, I continued my journey through the dungeon. Didn't work out like I thought. I thought there would be another monster right after, so my sword was ready in my hand, but there was no sign of any creatures for half an hour. And that gave me a bad feeling.

Why does this look like where I just passed by? I hadn't paid much attention to the road since I was walking, paying attention to the monster attack. After ten minutes of research, he realized that I was spinning around in the same place. It had to be either a descent from here or an ascent. I started looking for a switch or button on the roads I was walking. After five minutes of searching without disturbing any details, I saw a stone that looked different from the others. I walked up to the stone and struck it with the hilt of my sword. As I thought, the stone shattered very easily.

I saw a little switch just behind the stone. When I pushed the switch, dust rained down from the wall. I walked away from the wall and looked at what had happened. And when I saw it, I couldn't believe my eyes. The wall just went over the top of the wall above and pushed the stone up and entered its place flawlessly.

And where the wall went, there was a ladder that went down. Without hesitation, I went down the stairs. Of course, it was too dark, so I woke up with a blood fire. Night vision made it seem like everything was bright with my eyes.

If this situation hadn't exhausted me mentally and physically, I would have walked around this dungeon with a blood fire, but I had to turn off my awakening when I didn't have to.

When I reached the end of the staircase, I was faced with a monster attacking from both sides. This monster was the same monster I fought before. I immediately plunged my sword into the throat of the monster that attacked from my right, while I grabbed the throat of the monster that attacked from my other left with a combatant and fed him alive with my blood fire. And then, after I brought the other monster I killed to the blood fire, my body began to tremble.

My blood flow accelerated and the fire in my organs became stronger. While my body has grown a little, my hair has grown a few inches longer. My strength was up to about 220 kilograms.

I realized that my Blood Fire had developed, but something inside me said that it would be more difficult to develop this time. My body was light as a feather right now. Most likely, due to the instantaneous increase in strength, my body was no longer even in weight. Even the weight of my sword seemed to be only two to three kilograms.

Having adapted to my new strength, I resumed the journey again. Again, from time to time, the same monsters appeared in front of me. And each time I killed them and sacrificed them to my blood fire. As time went on, I no longer counted how many days there were. The monster group was now in double digits. But since I killed the same species, killing them now sounded as easy as killing an ant.

I was on the sixth floor of the dungeon. I don't know how many floors there are, but I just got to this floor. However, this floor gave off a more deterrent air than the other floors. Which showed me the signs that I had now made a new enemy...
