No one left the stands of the quidditch pitch. They were all trying to comprehend what they had just witnessed. Their entire view on the magic world had pretty much been overturned in less than an hour.
They fought without using wands, barely using 'magic'. If they were using magic then it was a completely different system than the one used in the wizarding world.
They recalled the first 'spell' that Shirou used. Even wizards new a tiny bit about Greek mythology.
He prayed to the Greek gods to cast that spell.
The Greek wizarding world was known to all, they used the same magic as the other wizards…..so where did this come from?
And then there was just the sheer amount of power they threw around. The skill in which they fought. The speed that they moved.
But the thing that overshadowed all of that, two artifacts were revealed in the fight.
Avalon, the sheath to Excalibur. And Caliburn, the sword of selection.
The audience finally left the stadium, a lot of people were trying to seek out the competitors for various questions regarding what they saw.
Some people had doubts regarding Saber being King Arthur, its hard to believe even with the supposed 'truth telling hat' confirming it. But when they saw the light from those two objects...it was magical beyond anything they've ever felt. They were starting to believe that maybe she was some sort of reincarnation of the king.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The castle was scoured for the group.
They were eventually discovered. They were in the Gryffindor common room, both couples were snuggled up reading books. Saber and Shirou were reading the book 'Fantastic beasts and where to find them' while Ichigo and Rukia were reading a book about WW2 from the wizard's perspective.
A handful of Gryffindor's practically burst through the painting and surrounded the two couples, much to their shock.
"You need to explain everything that happened" Hermione demanded on behalf of the house.
"We don't have to explain anything to you." Rukia answered emotionlessly.
"We aren't talking to you shorty." Ron answered in a huff.
Ichigo slammed the book shut loudly enough to draw all the attention to himself.
"Speak to my fiancé like that again, and you will never speak another word for the rest of your life" He said towards the boy.
Ron was a bit flustered at his threat. He was a bit slow to the uptake with regards to her being Ichigo's fiancé even when it was announced previously.
"But you're already engaged to my little sister" He said angrily.
"Wut?" Ichigo asked dumbfounded.
It was common knowledge that a couple years ago someone created a marriage contract between Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. It seems no one bothered to tell Ichigo.
"You didn't know?" Hermione asked with a hint of arrogance, knowing something they didn't.
"I have not been outside my country in over a decade, why would I know?" Ichigo said with annoyance.
"What exactly is this 'marriage contract'" Rukia asked.
"It's a magic contract that forces two people to get married at a certain date" Hermione explained.
"And why can someone be forced into one without their knowledge?" Rukia asked again.
She couldn't answered, in fact no one present could answer that question, they just always accepted it.
"So let me get this straight, someone has magically bonded me to a marriage contract. Me, a high ranking member of a foreign military power" Ichigo asked angrily.
"Yes…." Hermione said meekly as his presence started to enlarge.
"Who do I kill" Ichigo said with a hint of bloodlust.
"Calm down Ichigo, we don't have to resort to violence so readily." Saber commented.
Ichigo took a minute to calm himself down, he was actually more concerned with how Rukia would react. He could feel the temperature drop a few degrees as she displayed no emotion on her face. He gripped her hand tightly.
"How exactly does this contract force two people to get married?" Saber asked.
"um…..its magical because it can't be destroyed and will stop any other marriage documents from being created so you will never be able to be officially recognized as a married pair with your partner. Also the creator of the contract or any party listed can request the Ministry to go into action to carry out the contract details as per Wizard law." She explained.
"Okay, so there is no problem them" Saber said happily.
"What do you mean by that" Ron asked, his sister was basically being ignored in this entire circumstance.
"The contract can't do shit to us in Japan and the Ministry of magic has no authority over us" Ichigo said as he was calming down his lover.
"WHAT ABOUT MY SISTER" Ron said, throwing a tantrum.
Ginny Weasley had taken the marriage contract to heart. She was ecstatic when she heard the news about it, she already considered herself, "Mrs. Potter".
Ron realized he was being ignored and stomped out of the room. He would go tell the headmaster, Dumbledore would think of something.
After Ron left, the group easily dissuaded any more people from trying to pry into their details.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ichigo's group had left the common room and went down to the main hall for an early dinner.
As they walked through the doors, everyone turned to look at the newcomers. Almost everyone in the hall had a newspaper in their hands. The Daily Prophet had ran a special to report the news of what happened at Hogwarts since last night.
There were highlights of the battle between Ichigo and Shirou. It was calling into question the Wizard's brand of magic when these two "kids' were better fighters and stronger than any of the highest level of wizards.
The front page was a picture of Saber. It proclaimed the return of the king. The ministry made a statement saying they were still looking into the claims and that they would be requesting the return of any "British Artifacts" that had come into the Japanese possession. Other than that, there were reports of any information that Saber revealed.
There was a page dedicated to what Jaina said about the situation in Japan. How the barrier was there to protect the world. About a person becoming truly immortal and a 'wish granting object'. The magic she displayed also had moving pictures to go along with it.
Most of the wizarding world were aware of the Sorting hat's compulsion to tell the truth, so when they reported that the sorting hat had confirmed almost everything they wrote....it was chaos all around.
There was a page dedicated to Rukia being a 'shinigami'. The Prophet had dug up the term. They translated it to the masses, "Death god", "Soul reaper". A non-human being of immense power thought to be only myth. Though a lot of other myths were currently being called into question. The closest western comparison to a shinigami was the Grim Reaper. A lot of students now understood why the ghosts in the castle were so scared of them.
When Shirou had made a prayer towards the Greek gods, The Greek Wizard world made some inquiries as to what he used. The Prophet was able to find out about this as well. They reported that the weapon he used was called; "Tauropolos: Bow of Heaven" Supposedly it was a weapon bestowed by the Greek gods. The name 'Rho Aias' also came up briefly. Then there was the Chinese Wizarding world, they made a claim towards the "married blades" that Shirou used. And finally, there was the use of Caliburn and Avalon. A lot of the world was going crazy over some of these revelations.
Finally there were parts about Ichigo, "The boy who lived". They made comments about his strength, and how he was able to fight against "divine weapons" and come out pretty much unscathed. There were comments on his 'spells' that he used and the sword he also wielded. The term the hat used was Zanpakutō which was translated to 'soul slayer'. Other than that they didn't have any other information.
There were a lot of speculations written as well. There was talk about what they did being 'dark magic'. Since the ministry considers anything soul related being dark, and they likened alot of what Shirou did back to his use of his 'soul'.
Owls were flying into Dumbledore's office non-stop. Owl's were crowding the Ministry of magic as well from other Wizarding societies. The rodent population in London had been at an all time low as eyewitnesses said they saw thousands of Owls flying overhead.
Even when Dumbledore was sitting at the head table for a meal, he had stacks of letters he had to respond to.
Jaina had to hold back a chuckle every time she saw the anguished look on his face. Her group knew about what the headmaster had done and what he wanted to do with regards to the original Harry Potter. She had no sympathy towards the man.
"I think I should take my students to visit Gringotts before they close for the evening" Jaina said to the table.
"I can be an escort if you wish." Mcgonagall said.
"I would enjoy the company" Jaina responded. She genuinely did enjoy the old witch. Mcgonagall was like a mother figure to the students, she was genuinely concerned when she saw how Ichigo and Shioru were fighting.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jaina and the group, accompanied by Mcgonagall, were walking through Diagon alley. They were actually have a good time. Though there were a lot of problems with the wizarding world as a whole, there was something whimsical about it all.
Mcgonagall had a smile on her face as she watched the 'kids' gawk at every weird thing they saw. It was different than the usual seriousness they showed while at the school.
She finally led the group to Gringotts, the goblin bank. It was a bit odd, it wasn't an ugly structure….it was just leaning at different angles.
They group walked in, and as soon as Saber set a foot inside. All the goblins dropped what they were doing and looked up.
They stared with wide eyes at the person before them. Mcgonagall was a bit stunned at their reaction, she was still a bit hesitant to call the young lady 'king Arthur'. As saber walked past the first room where the goblins all stared at her, too dumbfounded to talk, she made her way to the front desk. For some reason, this particular goblin was caught up in what he was doing and didn't notice the guests.
"What do you want?" The goblin said without bothering to look up.
"I wish to access my vault" Saber said.
"Name." The goblin said bluntly, still without looking up.
"Pendragon" Saber stated.
The goblin snapped the quill in his hand as he was about to berate the person who had the audacity to use that name. As he turned his head up and saw….he was immediately stunned.
He hurridly ran out from behind his desk and knelt on the ground.
"Your Majesty" the goblin greet.
Mcgonagill was a bit stunned at the goblins actions. She turned around to see the goblins in the previous room, they too were all kneeling in reverence to the king.
"You recognize me?" Saber asked in surprise.
"We are fae, we can feel the blessings on you, we can sense the Blade on your person" The goblin explained.
"Only King Arthur could Wield Excalibur. There is no mistake" He stated.
There were other wizards at the bank at this time. They all saw the spectacle. The goblins had announced the girl as King Arthur and that she did in fact wield Excalibur.
The ministry was going to have a headache after this.
"How can we be of assistance your majesty" The goblin in charge asked.
"I wish to access my vault" She said.
"Of course your majesty" He said.
He did not lead them down into the vaults like he would normally. No, they kept the Pendragon vault in a very special place. Somewhere no one would suspect. Right in the open.
They walked to the room they initially came through. On the wall was a large clock and several fireplaces for a mode of transportation that Wizards use. The head goblin spoke a few words in their language and the whole wall stated to crack and open. It revealed a large vault door.
"Where is the key?" Mcgonagall asked.
"She already posses it" The goblin stated.
Saber knew what he meant. She could feel the need to take it out and let the vault feel its light.
Everyone in the bank stopped what they were doing to watch the King as she stepped forward to the overly large vault door.
She summoned what looked to be a blade made of wind, they were confused at what she was doing….until the wind started to unwind to reveal what was underneath.
The light of Excalibur was shining for all to see. She was pointing the tip of the blade at the vault and it started to unlock. The grinding of gears were heard as the locks were removed.
The door opened for the first time in centuries.
I'm having fun with this arc. Still don't know if i'll do another chapter tonight, don't stay up waiting.
Now, any fans of the series want the group to do anything particular? Keep in mind this takes place during year 4.
