Next day.

Satoshi Otomi already left for Tsuchimikado Island.

Right now Ren and Zenkichi is in training room at certain dojo.

Well, rather than a dojo it would be correct to call it a dormitory instead.

"Hey oldman"

"What?"

"Um... d- did Satoshi-nii san left a word for me?"

"Hmm?"

Zenkichi thinking about his son, Satoshi left at early morning he says goodbye to him, but when he asked to give Ren and Yukari a goodbye he refuse because he didn't want to disturb their sleep.

"No. Did you get into a fight with Satoshi?"

Ren shakes his head "No, it's just that he want me- you know what forget it"

"Ha..." Zenkichi sigh at Ren's reply.

"Oh yeah! Oldman is there any missions?!"

Zenkichi smile and nod "(This again?) Yes, there are"

"But, you can't join"

"Wait why?! Don't tell me is it because I call you slowpoke? Or senile old man? No, that isn't it.... oh! Wrinkle old d-"

Zenkichi smack Ren's head.

"Wrong! All of it!"

"Then why?!" Say Ren rubbing his head

"Did you forget about yesterday?! You recklessly intercept the enemies alone without saying anything or requesting back up! Then you get dragged into Magano!!"

"I told you yesterday no one is (specifically you) answering my request!!"

"Beside, alone or not, stay or not staying, in the end i- we must exorcise those impurities"

Zenkichi want to refute, but he refrains from doing so and sigh.

""Forget it"" say both of them at the same time. They didn't want to talk about it further.

"By the way oldman, did you have some sort of tips to becoming the strongest?"

"Stronger? Well th-"

Ren cut his word "Strongest! I said str.ong.est"

"Well, that's depend on you"

"(This again?) This again?"

"Yes, you do remember the essential part of an exorcist right?"

Ren nod "Enchanted power!"

"Right" Zenkichi nod at Ren's answer.

Enchanted Power, as you all know is a special spirit that reside within our body.

For the most part, how's one can manifest their power is depended on their efforts, but most human had a set maximum of how much they can manifest before it runs out.

With practice, this limit can be increased, but only to certain extent, as we are limited to the quantity that The Enchanted Guardian grants us.

Because enchanted power takes time and a great deal of training to gradually build up, the key to its use is not actually having large amounts of enchanted power, but instead being able to masterfully control and conserve it.

Of course having a large amount of enchanted power is very good, as its can make you stay in Magano longer, having more options to perform spells during battle, and further boosting the power of enchanted gears.

In order to have good controls of enchanted power, an exorcist should only use as much as they need to perform a given ability.

Exorcists, usually use Chants and Talisman to manipulate enchanted power more easily, allowing them to execute their techniques much faster and effectively.

"In short, enchanted power is an energy borrowed from a decease people (like one's own ancestor) is that right?"

Zenkichi nod at Ren's answer.

Ren's eyebrows frown, he then continues speak

"Now I think about it, isn't my own power depend on some sort of ghost?!"

"If it's like this isn't those born from, or had ancestry in exorcism had more advantage?! That's.... unfair"

Ren punches the floor in irritation.

He's thinking whenever it was Guts, Perseverance, or even Efforts he won't lose to anyone.

Zenkichi want to comfort Ren, but knowing him if he does that Ren would take it as an insult or humiliation instead.

"What?! Are you giving up?!! Just because some sort of lineage?! You don't even know the guardian within you is weak or not!!"

"Beside! The world is unfair!! Just accept it!" Say Zenkichi loudly.

"Hell no! I just- just....."

"He- Hahahaha! You right oldman! Rather than thinking about some ghost or lineage, I should focus on how to master it instead"

"Beside... if I won against them, its proof that I am the stronger one right?!"

Zenkichi didn't say anything, he just nods at Ren's reply.

"Well mastering the control of enchanted power is the first, but the second..."

Ren's ears wiggle "The second?" Ren intrigue listening to Zenkichi's words.

"Is enchantments or techniques, in short your style" say Zenkichi.

"My style?" Ren's pupils expand

Zenkichi nod, and continue "Umu. How you gonna fight? What kind of technique would you use? Is it suit you? This is the core of the second step"

"For techniques, either you can imitate or learn the existing techniques the exorcist union had, or... you can create a new one from scratch instead"

"Learn the existing one... or create it from scratch..." Ren close his eyes, he repeats Zenkichi's word.

Zenkichi smile looking at Ren "If you found your answers, becoming the strongest exorcist... won't be a mere dream"

"Thanks Oldman! I knew asking you is the best choice"

"Fufu. That's right" Zenkichi let out a happy laughs

"But why do you want to become the strongest?!" ask Zenkichi curiously.

"Huh?!" Ren startled by Zenkichi's question.

"Um..." Ren's close his eyes, thinking about Satoshi previous question

[Ren, can we human and impurity could-]

"I just... want to quickly annihilate them all! For that goal I must get to the island, no... that wasn't enough!"

"Power! I need more power! Enough to control everything!! Enough to destroy everything I hate!! Enough to make fate and destiny submit!!"

Ren's pupils expanded, his mouth showing an excited grin, and unbeknownst to him, his enchanted power's leaked.

The most surprising is, albeit faint, Zenkichi saw sparks forming from Ren's enchanted power.

Zenkichi shudder at the pressure Ren's enchanted power give, he involuntarily gulp his own saliva.

He clenches his fists, and close his eyes.

So... this is the reason? Ren, rather than revenge... i- I want you to have a normal happy life like I did... like common peoples did

Because, if you choose that path.....
