Naruto!?

Waking up in an unknown bed, Ryu looks around and starts to hyperventilate. Millions of thoughts go through his head on how he got here. The last thing he remembers is an intense pain going through his chest while he was relaxing at home.

He jumps down from the bed and glanced around and immediately froze. 'That door seems awe fully big doesn't it?' He looks at his feet and his arms. He couldn't believe how short they were. He starts to look for a mirror and finds one and the face that he sees isn't his own. Staring back at him is a child with blond hair and grey-blue eyes. The things that stuck out the most were his eyebrows, they were curled up like a fancy mustache.

"Holy shit, I look just like a kid Sanji!" He said before the pain hit him. Writhing on the ground while memories hit him, he couldn't even scream for help. The memories showed him of a kid with his name being an orphan, playing with the other kids and learning how to read and write among other things. One thing he took particular interest in, was that there was a boy from another orphanage with blond hair and whisker marks that everyone seemed to hate. Once the pain subsided he couldn't believe it.

He was in Naruto. That was the only explanation, he must have died and was reincarnated into this world. This made him absolutely giddy, he could learn jutsus! He would be able to shoot fireballs out of his mouth and punch craters into the ground. His line of thought was interrupted by yesterday's memories, he had a chakra disability! Apparently him and Rock Lee were the only two orphans to have this problem. He remembered crying for hours after came home and now he felt like doing the same.

"How in the hell am I going to protect myself." He whispered to himself. He knew what was coming from his previous life, the sound invasion, madara, obito, and kaguya. There's really only one thing he could do but he doesn't know where to go to find the green beast. "I guess I'll be waking up early to catch him on his runs." He sighs to himself.

"Ryu! It's time for breakfast!" The matron called from downstairs. He marched downstairs while formulating his plans. While he ate the matron looked at him with pity and said, "I know your sad about not being able to use chakra, but sometimes life gives you a bad hand and you need to make the most of it. Would you like me to sign you up for a civilian school when you get older?"

"No!" Ryu shouted, "I refuse to let this slow me down I'll become a ninja even if I have to push myself to the utmost limit!" He yelled and the next second looked taken back. He would never lose his cool like that when he was in his past life. Maybe his new life is merging with his old one and is bringing some changes to his personality.

"You have to understand Ryu, you wont be able to keep up with the other kids at school. Even if you graduated you could die from not being able to use any jutsu!" The matron yelled back. She quite liked Ryu's determination and always encouraged it before, but now it seems to have come back to biter her.

Ryu didn't want to listen to her anymore so he took off to try to find Might Gai before she could call out to him. While he was running he couldn't help but wonder why he looked exactly like Sanji. Was the universe giving him a sign to recreate his techniques. He'd have to ponder on that later on tonight.

Ryu looked high and low for the taijutsu specialist and couldn't find him. So he gave up until the morning when he found one Naruto Uzumaki fishing outside a training field. Naruto didn't look good at all. He was extremely skinny like he hadn't ate in days. He looked so sad and Ryu had always felt bad when He watched his childhood.

Ryu decided he'd befriend the young jinchuriki and made his way towards him. While he was walking he noticed that Naruto hadn't even bothered to bait the hook and was throwing an empty hook into the water on a line. He immediately spoke up and said, "Hey you know your supposed to put bait on a hook right."

His voice shocked the young boy and made him jump. When he turned around his face was guarded and defensive. After a couple of seconds of silence he spoke back, "Who are you?"

"Names Ryu, nice to meet you." Ryu said while reaching his hand out. Naruto looked apprehensive at first but shook his hand none the less. "Naruto Uzumaki," he said before he mumbled something that Ryu didn't hear into his jacket.

"What was that." Ryu asked.

"I don't have anything to bait it with! If I had any food I'd be eating it!" Naruto yelled. Normally the blond would be more happy-go-lucky, but three days of not eating had made him too tired to put his facade up. Ryu winced a bit at that and told him, "Well, why don't you let me help you? I can go look through some trash at the restaurants and find some bread or something for bait."

Naruto looked taken a back a bit. No one had ever been kind to him before since the Hokage hadn't made his appearance in his life. He didn't know whether to trust this guy or not, but he was only four and wanted to hope someone could still be good to him. Admittedly, he had the same idea but every time he was even near a store someone would run him off. So with a small grin he said, "That'd be nice."

Ryu smiled at that and took off he yelled back, "I'll be back in a couple minutes!"

Ryu ran to a couple restaurants and looked through there trash and picked up a couple pieces of moldy bread and spoiled meat. About 15 minutes later, he came back to see Naruto leaning against a tree waiting for him. Naruto grinned seeing this person didn't lie to him and came over to see what he got. Once they went through everything the decided to use the meat first since Ryu swore it would catch better fish. An hour later, and Naruto and Ryu were sitting by a campfire cooking the fish and talking about anything and everything.

One thought popped into Naruto's mind and he couldn't help but ask, "Why are you being so nice to me?"

Ryu chewing his fish thought for a moment and realized what Naruto meant and answered, "Why wouldn't I your just a kid like me?"

Naruto smiled at that but soon frowned and said, "The villagers don't like me. I don't know why because I've never done anything to them but they call me 'demon brat' among other things.none of the other kids our age want to play with me and the ones that do have their parents tell them to stay away. I'm worried your going to do the same."

Ryu felt sad listening to Naruto talk about his life up until now. He was a far cry fro his older chipper self. Unknown to both boys, Ryu made an unconscious decision to be there for Naruto no matter what. "You don't have to worry about that. I already like you and I don't have any parents to tell me otherwise." Ryu said while laughing at his own expense.

Naruto let out a little giggle at that and the boys finished their meals. After they were done they agreed to meet up again in the morning at breakfast time. Ryu ran home and yelled bye back at Naruto. When he got back he ate some food the matron made with some of the other orphans and went to sleep.

The next morning, Ryu woke up at 5 and set out o find Might Gai. He ran around the village for 30 minutes until he spotted an unmistakable green jumpsuit. Ryu ran up to him and said, "Hey your Might Gai right?"

Gai seemed confused since he hasn't ever met this boy before and said, "Yes, I am Konoha's beautiful Green Beast, Might Gai, but I don't believe we've met my youthful friend!"

Ignoring the youth speech, Ryu smiled and said, "A couple days ago I went to the doctor to test my chakra and it turned out that I had a chakra disability. I was really sad about that but I still wanted to be a ninja so I went to the library and read about things related to my disease. I was surprised when I came across an article about a Jonin who couldn't use chakra and was still one of the strongest people in the village. Once I found I came running here and couldn't find you. But today I did so I wanted to ask if you could help me train and become a strong ninja like you!" He finished with a bow.

Gai was crying manly tears at how youthful this young man is and told him, "Yosh! I would be honored to help another child embrace his inner youth."

Ryu cheered for a second but stopped as he thought out loud, "Another?"

Gai smiled and said, "Yes a youthful boy named Rock Lee came and asked the same thing from me and I agreed to help him as well!"

Ryu thought that might happen but shrugged as he didn't really care. He would be in his class anyway, being a year older than Naruto and all. With any luck he could help raise Lee's grades and not have to worry about him being the dobe paired with the rookie of the year.

Ryu quickly said, "I can't wait to join you both when should we meet Gai-sensei?"

Gai laughed and said, "We meet at 5 in the morning every morning for a youthful jog around Konoha Ryu-kun. I hope you have prepared yourself."

Ryu didn't know whether he should run away or follow him after that sentence but he knew it'd be interesting nonetheless.
