Chapter Twenty-three

It was almost 11:30pm when Chris drove into the airport. Bella knew she was supposed to be on board at least fifteen minutes to the scheduled time.

She got down from the car and ran with her box.

"Be careful." Chris shouted

"Alright. Thanks for dropping me off." Bella shouted not looking back.

"This girl is so useless and irresponsible." One of the flight attendant with the name Tracy said to a fellow attendant as Bella walked into the plane breathless.

"She's so unprofessional. I despise her a lot." Another flight attendant on board named Ria said.

"I don't even know why Susan will call someone like her to fill in for her." Tracy said with disgust.

Bella heard everything they said but ignored which got them angrier than they were.

The flight was about to take off and Bella demonstrated the safety tips in a way that the passengers loved. A lot of them immediately brought out their phones to rate Hampson Airways online. The Airways rating has gone up drastically since Bella started working at Hampson Airways officially.

Bella was assigned to the first class cabin for the first time because that was where Susan was supposed to stay. Most of the passengers were pleased with her level of professionalism.

A young man at one of the sits in the first class cabin had his eyes on Bella immediately she walked into the cabin. He signalled for her to come and she obliged.

"Hi, my name is Neil and you are?" The handsome stranger said

For a second Bella was lost in his silver grey eyes. He had a strong masculine features. His jaw was beautifully aligned and his beards was perfectly carved. Bella was mesmerised by such an handsome young man .

Neil tapped his finger three times when he noticed Bella was lost in her world looking at his eyes.

Bella was a little embarrassed but smile to hide her embarrassment.

"Sorry what did you say?" Bella asked

"I asked what your name was." Neil replied.

"Oh right!. Am Christabella Walter sir." Bella replied with a wide smile

"I guess I can call you Ella then." Neil said

"Yes sure you can call me Ella sir." Bella replied with a smile

Bella noticed one of the passengers has difficulty bringing out their luggage from the cabin compartment so she decided to help

"Excuse me sir." She said smiling at Neil before leaving.

"Let me help you with that ma'am." Bella said stretching her hands. The passenger decided to let Bella help with the luggage and thanked her before leaving.

Tracy and Ria saw how please the passengers were with her and it made them really jealous and angry.

Bella was on her way to serve the passengers in the first class cabin the in flight food when Tracy stopped her.

"You can't go in their ." Tracy said with anger

"And why can't I?" Bella asked shooting her a glare

"You're a new recruit and you lack experience. We can't let ruin the company's reputation with your incompetence." Ria shot back a glare

"I might be a new recruit but that doesn't mean I don't do my Job. At least have been working at Hampson Airways for almost two months now." Bella said

"Oh so now you think you can talk back at your seniors, Slap! " Tracy said giving Bella a resounding slap.

Bella was so shocked that she couldn't move an inch. She just stood on that spot completely dumbfounded. Ria snatched the tray from her while Tracy pushed the trolley.

Bella didn't know when tears started falling from her eyes. Her cheek was sore and red. She placed her two hands on the spot because of how bad it hurt. She has never felt so humiliated in her entire life.

"Are you alright?" Bella was shocked hear to hear someone's voice. She quickly wiped her tears before turning to face the person.

"Yes am fine." Bella replied sniffing before looking up to see Neil

"But you don't look fine." Neil said touching her face. He became really furious when he noticed the marks on her face.

"Who did this to you?" Neil asked in anger

"No one." Bella replied holding her cheek

"Who hit you? Tell me right now." Neil said holding Bella's hands. He was really annoying that anyone could have hit her. He blew on the spot for a while.

"I'll be okay. Thank you." Bella said giving him a small smile.

"But you can't leave like this... Your cheek is red and swollen." Neil said

"I'll just cover it with makeup and I'll just put ice on it." Bella said

"Are sure you'll be okay?" Neil asked out of concern

"Yes. I'll be fine."  Bella said with a smile.

"If you need anything just let me know okay?" Neil said with a smile before leaving.

Bella checked her face in the mirror and she could see that it had red hand marks and it was a little swollen so she decided to add some concealer to cover it up before going out to do her job.

Bella's flight was to return to London immediately after and she doesn't know how she'd cope with Tracy and Ria because they were going to fly with her.

The flight from Scotland to London was worse because Tracy and Ria won't stop bullying her. She already had plans of reporting them immediately they landed although they threatened her not to say a word.

She had physical marks on her face, neck and arm to prove her point and she was planning to teach them a lesson. She has had series of bullies from work but she wasn't bothered by any of them because they never got physical with her.

Everyone one asleep when Bella got home. The company's bus dropped her off and she used her key to open the door.

She got to her room and went straight to the bathroom for a cold shower because she needed to calm her nerves. She brought out her phone to take pictures of the marks so she'd have evidence even if they deny.
