Chapter Thirty-five

The doctor's appointment went really well. She advised Bella to take it slow and she recommended some treatment which she was ok with.

Bella came home to prepare for the three days mini vacation she had with her family members. She made plans with Mr Anderson to take them to Westbengal Resort. Bella booked enough rooms and made all the necessary arrangements.

Bella decided to choose the clothes she planned to wear tomorrow because she doesn't want to be stuck with picking out clothes tomorrow because she could literally become really useless when it comes to that.

Bianca had always been the one to come to her aid so she became really lazy in that aspect.

Bella choose a white crop top, a light blue Jean trousers and her favourite carton colour Jacket because it was starting to get cold. She decided to rock her white Triple S Balenciaga sneakers and her brown Fendi bag that Bianca got her for her last birthday.

Something fell from Bella's wardrobe in the process of rearranging her disorganised clothes. It was the Tiffany and Co paper bag that had the mysterious gift she received during her graduation. She still had absolutely no idea who the gift came from. She brought out the jewellery box to check the necklace again. The box was a blue box tied with a white satin ribbon.

She wasn't sure if she wanted to wear the necklace since she doesn't know who had got her the gift. Bella picked out the necklace to admire the beauty once again. It was still as shiny as it was about a year ago and the pendant was still as beautiful as ever

"But where did the buyer get the inspiration from." She thought to herself studying the pendant.

"Wait the pendant looks like butterfly!" She squealed.

"Chris is the only person that calls me butterfly." She muttered to herself.

"The gift must be from Chris then." She said with certainty.

Before she knew what she was doing her hand had already dialed Chris number.

Chris was sitting in his office when Bella's call came in.

"Hey butterfly. What's up" Chris said with excitement.

"You got me that necklace on my graduation didn't you?" Bella asked

"Am glad you finally figured it out." Chris said with a smiling.

Bella could literally see him smiling in her imagination

"Thank God I found the owner of the gift. Have always wanted to return it. " Bella said which really made Chris shocked.

"What do you mean you want to return it?" Chris asked standing up with a panicked expression.

"Chris I honestly can't keep it. It's such an expensive gift. I just checked the price of the necklace again , it's over 10,000 US dollars . I can't take it." Bella said shaking her head.

"I can't take it back from you Babe. It's a gift. I got it with the ear ring and I was planning to give that to you as well. I knew you'd be like this that was why I hid my identity. I thought you'd have figured it out sooner and it's not even expensive babe. I can buy you the whole world if you ask me to." Chris said

Bella bursted out in laughter because he said he could buy her the whole world like God told him he was planning on selling the world. Bella knew he wasn't going to collect the necklace back even if she wanted to give it back so bad. She knew he meant no harm so she decided to accept the gift.

"Alright thanks Chris." Bella said with a smile.

"But what's funny though, why were you laughing." Chris asked

"Because you're so funny Chris. You said you can buy me the whole world like you already had a conversation with God about selling the world." Bella said

Chris bursted into fits laughter after listening to Bella's explanation.

"I never knew you could make a joke butterfly." Chris said smiling.

"Don't you think it's high time you stopped calling me that?" Bella asked

"What?  Butterfly?" Chris asked.

"Yes that." Bella replied

"But you asked me to call you Butterfly and I Love it when I call you tomorrow that." Chris said

"And I asked you to stop Chris. I don't like the name. It's been almost seven years since I asked you to call me that and I was obviously a kid back then, am an adult now and I don't want the name anymore." Bella said

"Okay butterfly I'll stop." Chris said

"You still called me." Bella said with a puppy face.

"Sorry butte... sorry Bella ." He said laughing. 

"I guess I have to find you a new name then." Chris said

"No Chris please just call me Bella, Ella, Christal, Christabel or Christabella . You have about five names to choose from so just choose one." Bella said

"I'll call you Abella then." Chris said laughing

"Is that even a name?" Bella asked wondering.

"It still makes sense darling so Abella or butterfly choose one." Chris said laughing.

"Abella!" Bella answered rolling her eyes.

" At least it's still part of my name although I don't like it." Bella said with a smirk.

"Okay I'll keep calling you Bella then since you hate Abella so much." Chris said laughing.

"I actually like it when you call my name. O M G.....Did I just say that out loud?"

Bella felt so embarrassed.

"Really?" Chris asked with a bright smile.

"No I didn't mean it." Bella said blushing really hard

"I know you do babe so stop lying." Chris said

"I love the way you call me Chris. It's gives me butterfly in my belly." Chris said but Bella didn't say a word.

" What are you doing tomorrow?" Chris asked

"Am actually traveling with my family members." Bella said

"Oh really? Where are you guys going?" Chris asked with excitement.

"Yes! We are going to Westbengal Resort. My mum's boyfriend was planning to propose on Sunday so we've arranged everything." Bella said.

"Oh wow. That's cool. I actually have a yacht and a private beach incase you want to give them a surprise. " Chris said

"No I already booked the tickets and I really don't want to cancel." Bella said

"Okay babe no problem. Just let me know if there's anything I can do to help." Chris said

"Alright thanks Chris. Oh by the way. Are you free on Sunday? "Bella asked.

"Well it depends, why do you ask?" Chris replied

"I actually want to invite you for the engagement party. It's a surprise I planned with Uncle Joe actually and we are inviting close friends and family. Since you and mum aren't strangers that's why am inviting you. What do you say?" Bella said

"What time is it?" Chris asked

"You don't have to come if you're busy." Bella said

"I never said no babe, I just asked you the time." Chris said

"All day on Sunday." Bella said

"Okay babe I'll be there." Chris replied

Elliot Christian's personal assistant walked into the office.

"Sir you have a meeting in five minutes at the conference room. Elliot said

"Tell others wait for me." Chris replied.

"You have to go right? Sorry for calling you in the middle of the day." Bella said feeling apologetic.

"No it's fine babe. Am glad you called. Don't ever hesitate to call me anytime you feel like it please. I'll talk to you later. Take care of yourself love." Chris replied with a smile.

Hearing Chris call her love made Bella blush really heard. Somehow she liked it and the name gave her butterflies in her belly.

"Alright bye Chris." Bella said with a wide smile.

"Bye love." Chris said before dropping the call.

Chris headed for his meeting smiling like a new born baby. All the employees that saw him were really surprised that Chris could smile. A lot of them had worked for him for over five years but they had never seen him smile for once. He always had a blank and intimidating expression.

Chris went back to his old self as soon as he got into the conference room. Everyone stood up to welcome him but he didn't say a word and just sat on his sit.
