Chapter Fourteen

Bella got back home to a delicious aroma of food from the kitchen made by her mum

"Mum am home." She shouted

"Welcome home honey." Vera greeted.

"Thanks mum." Bella said walking into the kitchen.

"How did your day go?" Vera asked

"Super fun mum. See I took a picture of me in my uniform." Bella said showing her mum the pictures she took with her uniform.

"Wow. This is beautiful. I can't believe my daughter is finally a flight stewardess." Vera said

"Yes oh, mum it's hard to believe." Bella said.

"Am proud of you darling." Vera said pouring the spaghetti she was making into a shive to dry the water.

"Unnie." Bella heard Raquel's voice. She was rushing down the stairs.

"Baby!" Bella exclaimed in excitement.

"I didn't know you were around." Bella said

"Dad is working late today so I asked him if I could come over." Raquel said

"Oh right." Bella said.

"How was your orientation? Aunt Vera told me you went for orientation. Raquel said.

" It was fun baby. Here, see my pictures. Bella said showing her the pictures she showed her mum.

"Awwn you look beautiful in your uniform." Raquel squealed.

"Do I only look beautiful in my uniform?" Bella asked with a puppy face.

" No, you know that's not what I meant. You're always beautiful. Raquel said.

"And you're super beautiful too baby." Bella replied.

Raquel could not help but smile.

"Dinner is really girls." Vera said.

"I'll just get changed." Bella said running up the stairs to her room.

She decided to wear a jet black bumshort and a multi coloured crop top and her emoji slippers. She let down her hair since her hair was mostly packed up in a bun through out the day.

Bella got back to the kitchen in less than ten minutes of going to change. Her mum had already served dinner.

Bella carried her food, with a fork. She had started eating even before leaving the kitchen.

"Mmmmmmhhhhmmm! This tastes so good. Bella said walking away from the kitchen island

"Sit down and eat your food, you don't listen" Vera shouted at Bella

"This tastes good mum." Bella said completely ignoring what her mum said. He went straight to the living room with her food.

Raquel came to join her in the living room not long after.

They decided to watch Crash Landing on You on Netflix since they were both die hard fans of K drama.

"Have been wanting to ask, is it okay if I post the pictures I took with Mr Hampson yesterday on Instagram?" Raquel asked.

"Mmmmmmhhhhmmm. I guess so. He probably would have restricted you if he didn't want you to post the pictures. He wouldn't have allowed it if he didn't want his face on your Instagram page" Bella said with a shrug.

"I guess so." Raquel said.

"So tell me honestly sis, what's your relationship with him?" Raquel asked

Bella as been trying so hard to avoid the topic since yesterday.

"Ella answer the question." Bella's mum added.

She remembered what happened at the back sit of his car and couldn't help the heat that came all over her body.

"Awwn. You're blushing. Raquel said in excitement.

"No am not" Bella countered

"Yes you are." Vera said.

She couldn't bare the embarrassment anymore so she decided to change the topic .

"Mum, what are your plans with Uncle Joe." Bella said changing the topic

"Unnie, don't try to change the topic." Raquel said

"I wasn't trying to" Bella said

"We know you were trying to." Vera said with a smile.

"I'll answer your question though but you have to answer yours too. Vera said

"Ok mum,deal." Bella said although she had no intention of telling them about the kiss.

"I love Joe. We love each other but we don't want to rush things. Especially since you guys are involved. Vera said

"Us been involved, is that what you're worried about?" Bella asked.

"If you and my dad think we are the problem, better get married already because I can't wait to be officially a sister to Unnie and my Oppa's . Raquel squealed.

" We don't want to rush anything. " Vera said feeling shy.

"Mum you're not rushing a thing. You only live once and life is too short. Bella said.

"Okay I'll tell Joe about it then. Vera said

"Yay. Bella and Raquel said in unison hi fiving each other.

"Mum give us a wedding to plan this December please." Bella said with a puppy face.

"Definitely not happening! " Vera said.

"Why not?" Raquel asked

"That's in like two months time." Vera said

"That's more than enough time to plan" Bella said in a high pitched tone.

"So answer our question." Raquel said staring at Bella deeply.

Bella cleared her throat before she could alter a word.

"In all honesty, there's nothing between us. Although we kissed yesterday." Bella said robbing her neck.

"What you kissed?" Raquel squealed with wide eyes

"Seriously?" Vera said

"Download how it happened for us." Vera said

"Mum you like gossip too much." Bella said shaking her head with a smile.

"Ouch I feel offended." Vera said holding her chest playfully.

"We are waiting." Raquel said.

"Do you love him?" Vera asked.

"No mum! Mum no!" Bella replied as fast as possible with a blush.

"I don't love him mum but I don't hate him anymore though." Bella replied with with a shrug."

"He said he likes me though." Bella said.

"Awwwwn." Raquel squealed.

" You guys are not allowing me to concentrate on my movie." Bella said picking up the remote to pause the movie before standing up to take her plate to the kitchen.

"We know you're trying to avoid this conversation." Vera shouted behind her.

"Whatever mum!" Bella said doing the dishes.

Bella's phone rang.

"Ella you have a call." Vera said.

"Who is it?" Bella asked

"It's from an unknown number." Vera replied

"Am not answer it." Bella replied.

The phone started ringing again few minutes later.

"Ella come and pick your call." Vera shouted.

"Coming mum." Bella said wiping the plates before placing them in the plate rack.

Bella walked back into the living room to attend to her call but the phone had stopped ringing before she could pick up.

Beep! A notification came in from an unknown number. It read

"Can we talk?"

Bella didn't know who the message came in from so she asked.

"Who's this"

Beep! Another notification came in almost immediately.

"It me."

This person is not serious. Bella thought in her head.

"You who?" She sent the message dropping her phone on the table.

A call came in immediately from the same number and she decided to pick on the second ring.

"Hey butterfly." Chris said smiling.

"Chris?" Bella said surprised.

"How did you get me number?" Bella asked with curiosity.

" I have my ways darling and don't forget that am your bosses, bosses, boss" Chris said with confidence.

"Oh right. I guess that explains how you got my number then." Bella said

"You're right. The stupid question you asked Initially isn't needed." Chris said

"Since you stole my number from wherever or whomever you got it from I can always block you." Bella said with a wicked smile.

"You wouldn't dare! Chris said with seriousness.

"Is that a threat? Bella said in anger. Chris as a talent of getting under her skin

"I wouldn't call that a threat." Chris said

"Good then." Bella said before dropping the call and blocked Chris number immediately before deleting it.
