Chapter Forty one

Thelma stormed off in annoyance and decided to device another way to  have Chris all to herself. She dialed Neil's number immediately.

"Hey dummy, what's up with that slut?" Thelma said as soon as Neil picked up

"I plan on boarding her next flight. Her next flight leaves for Manchester tomorrow morning." Neil said.

"Okay good. Make sure she never finds out about us and take the freaking relationship to the next level. Maybe kiss her or something and make sure you take nice pictures. I need the pictures ASAP." Thelma said in anger.

"I'll be needing money for tomorrow's trip." Neil said with a smirk.

"Okay. I'll have my mum wire you some money." Thelma as she entered her white 2021 mercedes G63 AMG before driving off.

Bella didn't like the fact that Chris was mad at her because of a misunderstanding. Even if they were no longer going to be friends Bella wanted it to be for a different reason and not because of a misunderstanding.

Chris was hurt because he felt like Bella was cheating on him and he blamed himself for not defining his relationship with her. He told Bella's co workers that she was his girlfriend because he was afraid that someone might snatch her away from him. When he saw her with Neil he was really pissed and he totally lost it when he said he enjoyed their time together last night. What else could that mean? Chris thought to himself and considering the fact that he also had sex with Bella the first time they met he was certain that the same thing had happened with Neil. The thought of Bella having sex with with another guy made Chris cringe.

He was certain that he loved Bella and it took him six years to get back together with her and he wasn't going to let anyone take away his happiness.

Chris knew his mum had sent Thelma to him intentionally for her to have felt so entitled to his office. Chris refused to have the meeting because he wasn't willing to entertain her.

Chris couldn't stop thinking about Bella. She was on his mind throughout the meetings he attended. He decided to call Mrs Henshaw to know if Bella was back in London. Chris decided to head straight to Bella's house instead of going home. He picked up his phone while Elliot followed with his briefcase.

Bella decided to head to Chris office on her way home. She wanted him to listen to her. Somehow she missed talking to him. Bella was hoping she'd meet him in the office so she entered the building with a smile although she was still in her uniform.

Bella got to the lobby and it was just has she remembered it. She remembered the name of the receptionist immediately she saw her so she decided to walk up to her with a smile.

"Hi Nancy." Bella said smiling.

"Hi Bella." Nancy said with a glare.

"Is Chris in?" Bella asked playing with her bag

"Yes but he's in a meeting and the meeting doesn't end till midnight." Nancy said with a smirk.

"I'll wait." Bella said walking to one of the chairs in the waiting area. Bella heard voices of staffs greeting someone before she could sit. She turned back to see Chris. Chris was really surprised to see her although it made him happy that Bella came looking for him.

"Hey butterfly."Chris said with the brightest smile which really got his employees suprised. Chris action really surprised Bella as well because she wasn't expecting him to walk up to her with a smile. She was expecting him to throw her out of his building.

"Hi." Bella replied with a small smile.

"To what do I own this wonderful surprise?" Chris said studying Bella's face. Bella shyly looked around and saw that all eyes were on them. It's not that she doesn't want to be seen with Chris, she was just avoiding paparazzi drama. Chris noticed her countenance and asked them to talk in his car. Bella got into the back sit of Chris black 2020 Mercedes AMG G 63 Mansory PP- wild G Wagon. The car had a red interior design that was soothing to the eyes. Chris got into the other side of the car while Elliot got into the drivers sit.

"Let's head to Bella's." Chris instructed Elliot as he started driving.

Bella didn't say a word for a while because of how nervous she was. She didn't know where to start or how to start explaining to Chris. She didn't want to do or say stuffs that'd make her look desperate.

"I... I'm sorry you had to leave like that yesterday. It's not what you think." Bella said playing with the tip of her top but Chris didn't say a word. He kept studying her face.

"I met Neil few days ago on board and somehow we coincidentally ran into each other at Westbengal Resort. He actually invited me out for dinner on Saturday and we..." Bella didn't finish her statement before Chris cut her off.

"Did you sleep with him?" Chris asked with a glare.

"No! No!, I didn't sleep with him. I would never do that." Bella said although she knew she didn't owe Chris an explanation but she still wanted to explain. She wanted him to trust her.

Chris didn't seem to believe what she said because of what Neil said about him enjoying her company last night.

"So what does he mean when he said he enjoyed your company?" Chris asked.

"He was talking about the dinner date." Bella explained.

"But why did you go though? Are you trying to explore your options so you could choose who was the richest? Which other rich guy are you planning to go after?" Chris asked with a smirk. He felt so disgusted with Bella and Bella was hurt to have heard him say those words to her.

"I feel so stupid right now coming here to explain myself to an idiot like you. Why do you care if I go out with anyone. It's not like you're my boyfriend or something.  You don't own me Chris and whoever I go out with is none of your fucking business." Bella said in anger.

"Mr Elliot please stop the car." Bella said but Elliot didn't stop.

"Drive." Chris said to Elliot and he knew he doesn't have the gut to disobey his boss.
