Chapter Fifty

Christian quickly rushed back up to check on Bella. He instructed Claret to   bring Vera to the room.

Bella's temperature had increased so much by the time Chris got to the room. Chris quickly picked a towel from the bathroom and filled the bowl with cold water.

He swiftly removed his suit and rolled up his shirt before putting the towel into the water. Chris placed the towel on Bella's forehead for a while before putting it in the water again and he kept repeating the process till her temperature was a bit calm.

Vera soon walked into the room with the twins behind her. They looked so worried.

It's been almost four hours since Bella passed out. Her temperature was finally back to normal.

Vera had told Chris that she'd like to cook for her daughter so as for Bella to have something to eat when she wakes up. Chris told Claret to show her the kitchen because he couldn't leave Bella's side.

Chris noticed Bella struggling in her sleep, she was finding it really heard to breathe, she's probably having a dream so he started calling out her name. He wanted her to become conscious but all his effort didn't yield a positive result so Chris decided to lift her off the bed a little and shook her calling out her name

"Wake up Bella it's just a dream." He said.

Bella  finally opened her eyes looking really scared. Chris couldn't think of anything else than wrapping his big hands around her in a tight hug.

"Everything is going to be okay. Everything will be fine. Everything is fine now. It was just a dream." Chris told her

Bella suddenly withdrew herself from the hug which made Chris a little disappointed. Chris thought it was because of the argument they had earlier that day.

"The event centre where we met for the first time was at Cedar events centre right?" Bella asked him.

Chris was really shocked and confused because he does not think any of them that knew she had lost her memory mentioned the event centre to her since the accident.

"She probably remembered from the invite she saw with Bianca. She told me before that she saw the invite but why does she want to know suddenly. Maybe she wants to go to the event centre incase she'll remember something but I need to be sure about the reason why she wants to know." Chris thought to himself.

"Yes why do you ask?" Chris asked

"The hotel we lodged was River Valley hotel and suite Room 1109 if right." Bella said

Chris was really shocked with her question because he never told anybody about the hotel or the room number. Chris knew that she must have remembered

"You remember?" Chris asked

"I think I remembered everything about how we met and how the accident happened. I remember my seventeenth birthday too. My grandma actually gave me Dylla during my seventeenth birthday but I think they had to keep the car because of the accident. They didn't want me to ask questions." Bella said.

Chris couldn't condone the joy he had in his heart.

The fact that Bella said she remembered made Chris so happy that he couldn't help the tears that formed in his eyes because of how happy he was. He couldn't help the smile that formed on his face looking at Bella with admiration.

"Am glad you finally remembered." Chris said pulling Bella in for a hug.

"I guess I need to call my mum."Bella said

"She's here already. She's downstairs." Chris told her

"Why?" Bella asked releasing herself from the hug.

She looked really mad at him . She had a similar expression to the one she had in the morning when they argued. Chris really hate it when she's mad at him.

Chris knew she'd definitely be furious if he had told her that he called her mum. Although her mum choose to come over on her own but Bella wouldn't have understood.

"You fainted Bella." Chris said

Bella became quiet looking around the room confused.

"How did I get here?" She asked

"You passed out Bella, I found you in the bathroom. You almost drowned. Do you know how scared I was to have seen you like that in a bathtub full of water. I had to use the master key since you wouldn't answer me." Chris said

"So why is my mum here?" Bella asked looking confused

"I was on the phone with her when I found you in the bathtub. I called her to know if the reporters were still everywhere around your house, then she asked of you because she was worried that you've not been picking her calls so she had Kayden call Bianca if she heard from but Bianca said you didn't pick your calls either so I had to use the master key .  Your mum and the twins came afterwards." Chris explained.

"Oh okay." Bella said rubbing her hand on her neck slightly.

Bella suddenly checked her body and discovered that she was dressed. Chris knew she felt embarrassed.

"I didn't get you changed. Claret did. Although I brought you out of the bathtub." Chris said standing up from the bed and rubbing my neck to ease her embarrassment.

"Am sorry about what happened this morning." Chris said sitting on the vanity chair.

"You didn't go to work?" Bella asked reaching for her phone.

"No I didn't." Chris replied.

Seeing Bella reach for her phone made Chris think that she wanted to check the news so he stood up to collect the phone from her.

"Oh so I can't use my phone again." Bella said glaring at Chris.

"No no, I didn't mean it like that. I just didn't want you to check the news." Chris said trying to explain himself.

"Well you don't get to tell me what I do with my phone Hampson." Bella said snatching her phone from Chris hand.

"Am sorry, I didn't mean t... "

"Get out Chris. Bella said with venom in her voice cutting Chris off.

"Am not going to leave without clearing this misunderstanding. She's been too stubborn." Chris thought to himself.

"No am not leaving." Chris said

"Oh right. It's your house. I should've never come here." Bella said picking her box off the floor.

"You know that's not what I mean Bella, why do you keep twisting my words." Chris said feeling frustrated.

Bella didn't answer Chris instead she removed her shirt not minding the fact that she didn't wear a bra. She picked up a red bra from her box and wore it.

Her getting dressed in front of Chris sent chills down to his spine.

She picked up a white top and wore it. She removed the shorts too not minding the fact that she had no panties on.

She was too furious to care about Chris existence.

She picked up a red lace panties and wore it. Chris knew that if he didn't do anything at that point that she'd get dressed and leave and if she leaves, it might be the end.

Chris moved closer to Bella and hugged her from behind. She tried to fight it but Chris didn't let her break them apart.

"Am sorry."Chris said leaning my chin on her shoulder.

Chris suddenly felt like she was crying so he turned her to face him and he was right.

She had tears in her beautiful eyes and Chris hated seeing her like that way. He hated been the reason why she was like that.

"I must have hurt her feelings without knowing it." Chris thought to himself.

Chris hugged her tight caressing her long brown hair.

"Am sorry Bella, I didn't mean to hurt you." Chris said feeling apologetic.

They remained in that position for a while before Chris released her from the hug so he could wipe her tears. Chris wiped her tears with his thumb before kissing her forehead. Chris carried her box off the bed before sitting on the bed and bringing her to sit on his lap still in her panties.
