Chapter Fifteen

Bella thought Chris had changed but she became furious when Chris told her that she was stupid. She deleted his number immediately after blocking it because she didn't want to get tempted to the extent that she'd unblock him.

Bella's mum noticed her mood had changed since she received the call.

"Ella, is everything okay?" Vera asked

" Yes mum." Bella replied.

"Unnie theirs something I actually want to tell you." Raquel said

"Okay baby, what's that?" Bella asked.

"I need to shop for prom dress." Raquel said.

" Baby seriously? That's in like 4 or 5 months from now. Are you sure you want to shop now?" Bella asked

"I don't even have a date yet and my birthday is in January." Raquel said lamenting.

"Baby, calm down. Let's take one step at a time okay?." Bella said

Vera yawned out of the blue.

"Go and sleep mum. " Bella said

"Am going." Vera said standing up.

"Goodnight girls." Vera said before heading upstairs for a beautiful sleep.

"Good night mum, (imo). Bella and ( Raquel) said in Unison

"Would you like to sleep in my room? " Bella asked Raquel.

"Yes!" Raquel replied with excitement.

"Then let's go!" Bella said as they turned off the TV before going upstairs.

Bella and Raquel slept not long after they went up the stairs.

Bella woke up next morning to the buzzer of her alarm. She felt so reluctant to stand up but she stood up anyways because she had to get dressed for work. She quickly rushed into the bathroom for a refreshing bath. She brushed her teeth and washed her hair before leaving the bathroom.

She sat in front of her dresser and brought out her hair dryer to dry her hair.

"Good morning sis." Raquel said rubbing her eyes calling Bella's attention.

"Good morning baby!" Bella replied with a smile.

"Hope you slept well." Bella asked

"Yes I did and you? Did I snore?" Raquel asked feeling embarrassed.

"No baby, you didn't snore and even if you did I'd have still enjoyed my sleep because you were right by my side." Bella said drying her hair aggressively.

"Let me help you with that." Raquel said standing up from the bed to get the the dryer.

"Thanks baby." Bella said handing over the dryer to her.

Bella was fully dressed for work one hour later.

"You look amazing in your uniform sis." Raquel said

"Thanks baby." Bella replied.

"I need to take pictures of this special moment." Raquel said bringing out her phone.

She wanted to take a selfie with Bella but soon discovered that her hair looked like a bird nest and decided against it.

"Can you drop me in school please?" Raquel asked with a puppy face

"Okay baby. I still have about an hour to spare." Bella said spraying her favourite cologne.

Raquel rushed into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

"I'll be downstairs." Bella called out before leaving the room

Bella decided to take toast bread and juice for breakfast. She was in the middle of her third slice when Raquel came downstairs dressed in her beautiful Red and blue school uniform. Her skirt was short that It would be hard to bend down to pick anything so she usually wear pop stocks. This would be the last year she'd wear uniform so when her Dad said he'd get her a longer skirt she decided against it.

"Have some breakfast too." Bella said offering giving her the toast she made for her.

"Thanks unnie." Raquel said.

"You're welcome baby." Bella replied.

They both finished their breakfast under five minutes and rushed out of the door.

"Off we go mum." Bella shouted so her mum could hear her from her room

"Bye darling." Vera replied

"Am dropping Catty in school" Bella shouted

"Okay darling. Hi Catty" Vera greeted

"Good morning Aunty" Raquel greeted.

"Good morning darling,do have a wonderful day girls."

"Thanks mum (Aunt) Bella and Raquel said in unison before heading to the car.

Bella dropped Raquel off in school before heading to the airport. Her driving was less reckless today and she had less contact with furious drivers. She was proud of herself when she drove to the airport parking lot.

Liam and Alexia had just got down from the company's vehicle.

"Hey girl." Alexia greeted

"Boo!. How are you?" Bella said with an high pitched tone

"Hi Liam" she said.

"Am fine love and you? " Alexia asked

"I guess you have gist for us." Liam squealed dragging Bella inside the airport.

"Gist about?"  Bella asked confused

"About Mr Hampson obviously. Alexia replied

"Yes girl, spill." Liam said snapping his finger

Bella has never seen a guy who loves gossiping as Liam

"You sure gossip a lot for a guy."  Bella said shaking her head with an eye roll.

" It's one of my strength darling." Liam said smiling.

"Well nothi..."

"Don't say nothing cause we won't buy it" Alexia said before Bella could finish her sentence.

"She sure look confident for someone who didn't get the job on merit." A lady in uniform said to two other ladies. They were all looking at Bella with disgust .

Bella didn't utter a single word because she was used to people saying hurtful things to her when she since she started at the stewardship course at Hampson Aviation.

"You!" Alexia shouted glaring at the three ladies. She was prepared to launch at them but Bella pulled her back immediately, shaking her head.

"Don't get us kicked out on our second day at work. You know we are still on probation." Bella said glaring at the the ladies but the just laughed mocking and walked past Bella hitting her on her shoulder with theirs.

Bella was totally speechless and angry at the same time. She instantly bawled her fingers into a fist and smirked.

"I'll treat your fuck up one day, I promise you." Bella said before storming away into the conference room for the continuation of their orientation. The orientation is to hold for two weeks after which they'd be allowed to work as reserve attendants if they pass this last stage. It is compulsory for all newly recruited staffs to complete orientation on each specific aircraft for Hampson Airways after which we'd be issued a certificate from. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

After a while there was commotion every where. Everyone except Bella and her friends were not in panic state.

"Mr Hampson is here." A lady said trying to fix her nervous self.

"The last time he was here, he fired four staffs with a glare." Another guy said.

"What's going on." Alexia said pulling on of the guys running to ask question.

"Mr Hampson is here. The last time he came he fired four staffs without hesita...." The guy stopped talking because he noticed someone behind him.

"Are you done gossiping about me?" Chris said with a glare.

"Sor.. sorry Mr Hampson, I wasn't tr...

"Hold it." Chris said holding up his palm cutting the guy off before pushing his way through the conference room.

Everyone in the room stood up immediately he entered. They were terrified because nobody knew what he wanted.

"I think this is the end for me." Bella whispered to Liam before she felt someone's grip on her hand.

"Follow me." Chris said with a glare.

Bella looked at him in the eyes and knew she wouldn't dare to disobey him.
