Chapter Eighteen

"Wow! You mean theirs only one of this dress in the whole wide world?" Bella asked with wide eyes.

"Yes you heard me correctly." Chris replied.

"I can't wear this please. Please just take me back home am not comfortable wearing this. Bella begged

"Christal just calm down. It's yours okay?" Chris said looking at her.

"What if I fall or what if it gets torn? What if I mistakenly walk through where theirs nail and the n...."

"It's fine Christal. It's yours and you can do whatever you want with it okay?" Chris said reaching out for Bella's hand to hold it firm.

Bella was shocked at first because she wasn't expecting Chris to hold her hands but she relaxed after a while.

"Your hand is cold. Are you nervous?" Chris asked looking at Bella and focusing on the road at the same time.

"No am not nervous just cold. The AC is Haaa...Chin." Bella couldn't finish her sentence because she sneezed

"Sorry. Sniff! Sniff!" Bella replied sniffing.

"Oh sorry. You could have said the AC was affecting you." Chris said turning off the AC.

"It's fi... chin..ne." Bella finish her statement with a sneeze.

"Am afraid you caught a cold because of me" Chris said

"No no." I'll be fine" Bella replied with a smile.

Few minutes later Chris drove into one of the finest restaurants in the city. The place is known for celebrities and rich people

"Wow!" Bella exclaimed

"Wait." Chris said unbuckling his sit belt to get out of the car. He opened the door for Bella and motioned for her to hold his hand. Bella loosed her balance as soon as she stepped out of the car.

"Ouch!'' she exclaimed.

"Are you okay?" Chris said catching her before helping her get her balance.

"Ouch! Bella screamed in pain as she tried to walk.

"Are you okay?!" Chris asked holding Bella in place

"I think is sprained my ankle." Bella cried out.

"It hurts so bad." She said

"Here, sit" Chris said motioning for her to sit.

Chris bent down so he could have proper access to her leg. He removed her heels and massaged her leg till she could no longer feel the pain.

Bella could not take her eyes of him because she has never had anyone treat her like Chris did aside her mum and her siblings

"Does it still hurt?" Chris asked but didn't get an answer.

"Christal!" Chris called out but Bella didn't respond. She was so lost in thought of Chris that she didn't know he was calling her

Chris tapped her.

"Christabella!" He called out again bringing her out of her fantasy

"Oh yeah! What was that?" Bella asked feeling embarrassed.

"I was asking if your leg still hurt?" Chris asked concerned.

Bella tapped her feet on the floor but didn't feel sharp pain like she felt few minutes ago.

"Yeah. I think its fine now. Thank you" Bella replied with a smile.

"Okay then." Chris said handing her her heels. Bella wore her heels and Chris helped her up.

"Thank you." She muttered not able to take her eyes of him

"Do I have something on my face?" Chris asked playfully with a smirk

Bella cleared her throat before removing herself from Chris grip so she could adjust her dress.

Chris walked into the restaurant holding Bella's hands. Bella felt uncomfortable at first but relaxed after a while.

Everyone was surprised to see Chris that close to a woman. There as always been scandals about Chris with female celebrities but none of them were ever seen with him in public and he usually deny the allegation immediately the scandal breaks out.

"Isn't that Hailey's limited edition dress." A woman in her sixties said to her friend as Bella walked into the restaurant.

"I tried so hard to get that dress but Mrs Whales won't sell it."  The friend lamented bitterly

"I heard it's only one piece in the world." The woman in her sixties said.

"It only makes sense that she'd give the dress to her brother's woman right?" The friend replied

"Have always wanted Chris to get married to my daughter and I'd definitely make it happen. The woman in her sixties said.

"That girl is from which family though? The friend replied

"Well I don't care about whomever her father might be. Even if she's the Prime ministers daughter which she's obviously not... It'd still make sure I get my daughter married to him." The woman in her sixties said.

"That girl is really beautiful though. She must be a model." The friend replied.

"My Thelma is more beautiful. Do you know how many time she has gotten her body fixed so she's hot. Am sure Chris won't be able to refuse her." The woman in her sixties said

"The first thing you should try to do is get closer to Cassandra. His mum." The friend said

"Yes, your right." The woman in her sixties said

"But you need to find out more about that girl. We need to work on tarnishing her reputation to make things easier for you." The friend replied.

Chris and Bella were ushered to their sit. They could not take their eyes off each other as they ate in comfortable silence.

Dessert was served few minutes after the main course was served. Bella really enjoyed the red velvet cake and she couldn't help but smile throughout the rest of the night.

Chris drove Bella back home. They enjoyed each others company that they didn't want to part ways.

"Thanks for dinner." Bella said getting out of the car smiling.

"It's my pleasure and thanks for not refusing. Chris replied with a smile getting out of the car.

"I had a good time so it'd have been my loss if I didn't go. Plus, I can never say no to free food." Bella said laughing.

Chris could not help but smile because Bella looked really beautiful even in the dark.

"You're really beautiful." Chris said without thinking and Bella was taken aback by his sudden confession.

"Thank you." She replied with a shy smile not able to take her eyes of Chris.

"I guess I have to go now." Chris said awkwardly.

"Umm umm. I guess so." Bella replied with a smile.

"See you tomorrow?" Chris said

"Nope. I have work unlike some bosses boss." Bella replied with an eye roll.

"Okay then. I'll call you." Chris said

"I guess you might have to give me your number then cause I wouldn't want you storming into the office with a mad man again." Bella said laughing.

"Although I find that very offensive but I'll forgive you since I get to call you whenever I want." Chris replied with a smirk and Bella couldn't help but roll her eyes
