Chapter 19 - a step to bloodshed
The loudest bang from the clang of overhead dangling metals on the tower happened and this sent chills across the city. The cheer came up and there were shouts and a rush of marching towards the arena. The gates had been closed against the people and when the sound signalled that the arena was opened, people jostled for an entry which brought about the pushes and shouts.
From Buten's estate arose Babuda, the captain of the sons of the devil and he held his skull helmet close to his body. He walked out from his chambers and a step outside saw him standing before his troop. A squad of forty and three trained soldiers who has no other use than assassination and threat to anyone who dares stand against their master – Buten.
