Chapter 205: The Color Triology

In Paris, Arthur had a good time touring the city with Sophie Marceau. At noon, Arthur held Sophie Marceau as they arrived at Place de la Concorde.

"How about it? The Champs-Élysées over there leads to the Arc de Triomphe!" The two had just come from the Louvre, which is right behind the Tuileries Garden, connecting to Place de la Concorde.

Arthur turned and kissed the girl. "Let's rest in the garden ahead!"

Place de la Concorde faces the Champs-Élysées Garden, the Grand Palais, and various theaters, with the Pont de la Concorde over the Seine River nearby.

Sitting on a bench in the garden, Arthur took a deep breath and smiled, "I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time!"

Sophie Marceau held Arthur's arm. "We French know how to enjoy life the most. You can come here for vacations often."

Sophie Marceau smiled, sat in Arthur's lap, wrapped her arms around his neck, and gave him a kiss. After the kiss, she asked, "Do you want to continue today? You were very excited the past two days!"

Arthur kissed her, then reached out to rub her chest. "Alright, I'll give you millions tonight. Let's find a restaurant for dinner. I received a project from Gaumont last night. It seems promising."

Sophie Marceau remembered, "Is it the Three Colors Trilogy by Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski?"

"That's right!"

Soon, the two arrived at a riverside restaurant on the Seine and chose a window seat to enjoy the river view.

The trilogy includes Blue, White, and Red themed after the colors of the French flag, each expressing different meanings!

Sophie Marceau took a sip of wine, "Are you interested in these artistic films too?"

"The Galaxy also has its pursuits and doesn't just focus on commercial movies. Don't forget who won the Best Picture award at the Oscars this year," Arthur smiled, forked a piece of steak, and put it in his mouth.

"I've seen the complete plan for Three Colors: Blue. It's quite fitting. The lead actress chosen is Juliette Binoche. You know her; her acting is excellent."

Juliette Binoche is two years older than Sophie Marceau but didn't debut as early as Sophie; In the mid-80s, she gained fame through Rendez-vous and Mauvais Sang, and The Unbearable Lightness of Being, becoming known as a goddess of French art films for her acting skills!

In terms of acting, Sophie Marceau is not as good as her, but she has more beauty and international fame.

Juliette Binoche also has two films releasing this year: Wuthering Heights and The Lovers on the Bridge!

Sophie Marceau knew about Juliette Binoche's fame. "Are you planning to release this trilogy in the US later?"

Arthur nodded, "The first film hasn't even started shooting yet. The earliest Blue could release is next year. But I plan to have the Galaxy release it in North America later. Someone will be responsible for the distribution negotiations!"

French art films usually don't make much box office in North America, so the distribution rights there are generally not very expensive. Of course, European film investments can't compare with Hollywood either!

In the afternoon, by the Seine in Neuilly, Arthur was leaning on the railing with Sophie Marceau, smoking.

Suddenly, a group of strikers holding signs and shouting slogans came down the street, making quite a commotion.

Arthur flicked his cigarette butt, "Is this another beautiful sight of Paris?"

"Let's go. I'm heading to Cannes tomorrow. Let's enjoy the bar tonight," Sophie Marceau didn't care about such things, pulling Arthur away.

In the dim bar, various men and women indulged themselves, swaying to the music.

At the bar, Sophie Marceau had just ordered two drinks when she suddenly saw her ex-boyfriend Andrzej Żuławski approaching. "Arthur, that's Andrzej Żuławski!"

"Sophie, good evening," Andrzej Żuławski greeted proactively.

"Andrzej, what a coincidence," Sophie Marceau smiled, "This is Arthur."

Arthur looked at Andrzej Żuławski and smiled, wondering how this old guy managed to be Sophie Marceau's boyfriend.

"By the way, Sophie, I have a script for you. Are you interested?" Andrzej Żuławski's fame is not great; he's mainly known for Sophie's explicit performances in his films.

Sophie Marceau shook her head, "I have a film to shoot this year and might go to Hollywood later. Your script must be filtered through my agent first."

Andrzej Żuławski glanced at Arthur and then said, "Hollywood movies are commercial products, not true art."

Arthur smiled, "Andrzej, don't try to persuade her. Your crazy love stories are not suitable for Sophie. Her future is to be internationally renowned, not just a sex symbol. Directors at your level wouldn't understand this. Sophie now works with directors like Luc Besson or Roman Polanski!"

Arthur said this and waved his hand, holding Sophie Marceau as they entered the dance floor.
