Apocalypse shelter - Swarg

A nobody who had barely done enough to survive in the apocalypse is killed and reborn a day before the apocalypse begins. Unlike other stories he had read, the apocalypse he faced was truly a cruel one. With a much more simple system and little to no help from that, he has already witnessed the state in which the humans had once been reduced to. Can he get up once again and face his nightmare? If he can, does he have the ability to change the bleak future that awaits humans. Warning : Not an overly fast evolving world like most apocalyptic novel. Everyone will have to fight with everything they have to progress and survive. The M.C. will have a higher growth rate but do not expect him to be overpowered.

A Settler and A Wanderer

The voice continued its explanation. 

" This will be the only chance to gain special stats. Henceforth, any chance to unlock a special attribute will be classified into a legendary category. 

The players will be divided into territories from this point forward. The major divide for the world will be continents. Nations will cease to exist from this point forward. Only private territories will remain. 

No modern communications will be available from this point on. The only way to communicate will be between the evolved. 

At the end of this, every person who has met the criteria to evolve will be given a chance to choose between becoming a wanderer and a settler. Do remember that once you decide, you can never reverse your decision. 

A wanderer, as the name suggests is someone with no place to call his own. The trade-off for such a lifestyle is the freedom to do as one pleases. Fear not, for you who has no place to call home, you have two options for staying in one place. First is to reside inside a shelter of one of the settlers. For this you had to have the settlers permission. The other way was to reside in one of the shelters provided by the system. These shelters would be spread out throughout the globe in the wilderness. Only wanderers will be given a safe heaven in these shelters. These shelters would provide you with rest, food, equipment and a place to trade. No other individual, be it a settler, normal human or the zombies will be allowed inside under any circumstance. It will be your safe heaven, but everything here will cost you points. 

Points are something you earn after killing zombies and participating in special events. 

A settler, as the name suggests is someone who will put down his roots in one place and try to grow not only himself but his community around him. The evolved who choose this will have to designate a place as his shelter and put all his efforts in growing it. Your strength will be your shelter. The population of your shelter is your strength. For every non-evolved joining your shelter one point will be added to your shelters growth every day, for every evolved settler who has his own shelter decimated joining your shelter you will receive ten points every day, for every evolved wanderer staying in your shelter you will receive five points every day. If you are someday left alone in your shelter, fear not for then and only then, you will receive fifty points per day. You can still preserve and try to fight. 

Communication is only possible between evolved of the same category. The normal population will have no means to contact each other. The only people who you can communicate with irrespective of your status and the distance is your immediate family. 

Trading of resources on the other hand is only possible between settlers. Every settler within a 20 square kilometres will have an opportunity to trade with their fellow settlers once a week by providing a paltry sum of fifty points. 

Once the protection week is over, the system will release the following lists:

> Kill count

> Strongest shelter

> Strongest wanderer

Each list will have hundred spots and being on the list will bring you monetary benefits along with global fame. 

The top hundred in the kill count list will each receive additional point to be placed in any stat of their choosing along with a weapon of green quality. 

The top ten in the kill count list will get an additional point to allocate according to their wish and a weapon of blue quality. 

The top three in the kill count list will get an additional two points to allocate and a specialised weapon that suit their fighting style of the dark blue grade. 

The top hundred in the strongest shelter list will receive a green building blueprint for their shelter along with a hundred shelter points. 

The top ten in the strongest shelter list will receive a blue building blueprint for their shelter along with five hundred shelter points. 

The top three in the strongest shelter list will receive a dark blue grade building blueprint along with eight hundred shelter points. 

The top hundred in the strongest wanderer list will receive two points to allocate as they wish along with a piece of green equipment of their choice. 

The top ten in the strongest wanderer list will receive four points to allocate as they wish along with a piece of blue equipment of their choice. 

The top three in the strongest wanderer list will receive six points to allocate as they wish along with a piece of dark blue equipment. 

Each of these lists will be updated once a month and will be visible to everyone irrespective of their status. 

Anyone who manages to stay on the list for ten or months a year will be given extra benefits that will be distributed at every new year. The same is true for those who can. maintain their positions in the top ten, third, second and first place of each list.

The base stats for every evolved in the beginning is different according to their health and fitness, but in the apocalypse the only way to increase these stats was through killing or rewards. 

For reference, the current strongest individual score going by their base stats has are as follows:

> Strength - 3 

> Agility - 2

> Stamina - 4 

> Defence - 2

In the wilderness you will have to kill hundred zombies of the white tier to gain 0.1 increase in stats at random. As the zombies of higher tier appear, the number of kills required to get the same amount of points will decrease by ten percent with each increase in tier. 

The zombies will actively attack any living thing irrespective of the time. Settler shelters will be always a target for zombies and the settlers will have to make sure that the area surrounding their shelters be rid of zombies regularly. 

The strength of the wanderers will directly correlate to the strength and quantity of the zombies that will attack them when they are in the wild. 

To look at your stats all you have to do is call out stats.

And the white space vanished just as it came. 

The irritating thing about this experience was the same as the first time around. It was just a one way conversation with only the most basic information. Everything else was left for us to find by putting our very lives on the line. At first it seems like a whole lot of information but only I knew how pitiful it was. 

This was my second advantage in this apocalypse and I was sure to cash in on the experience.
