Golden Fate

Silva yawned as he sat atop the Snowfall Company again to watch for any appearance from the remaining Masters of Red tonight. Unlike before, he is not alone as Mordred paces behind him bored out of her mind, and asks for the umpteenth time.

" Master, rather than waiting for them to appear, can't we go on the offensive and hunt them down?"

" As I have said before, Mordred, I can easily find them when I want to, but why go to them when they have no choice but to come to me, plus ambushing them would be too easy through my portal, and I want to have a bit of fun before winning."

" Yeah, yeah, all I'm hearing is you being lazy."

The Master of Black chuckled as he replied.

" Guilty as charged. Anyway, Mordred, what will you do if you manage to pull the sword from the stone? Camelot has no place in the Age of Man, and time travel is something I will not dabble in as there are far too many consequences compared to the few benefits."

" I just want to do it to prove I am worthy of being Father's heir, nothing more, nothing less."

" Okay, then, what are your plans then if you draw the Sword of Selection? Paraded it in front of Artoria to show her that she was wrong?"

The Saber of Red shook her head as she replied.

" Nah, I will be happy just knowing that I am worthy."

" And if you can't pull it out?"

" Then that's that."

Mordred said in a nonchalant tone as she sat next to her Master and asked in turn.

" What do you intend to do once you return home?"

" It honestly depends on whether or not if I return right at or near the point of time I disappeared or if the enemy that sent me here is dead or not. So I won't say anything with certainty."

" Hey, Master, mind telling me about your home?"

Silva said to the Knight of Treachery with mock suspicion.

" Mordred... If you are planning on starting up your own kingdom in my world, don't think about it, it's too much of a nuisance, and I will smack you."

" What!? No! I just want to hear what another world is like, that's all!"

" I know, I'm just teasing."

The Master of Black replied with a grin, and the Servant not so playfully punched his shoulder but did not hurt him because of his Aura protecting him. Which made Silva chuckle as he said.

" Well, in all honesty, my perspective on my home world is a bit skewed compared to the average person from there."

" What do you mean?"

At Mordred's question, the Master answered.

" Well, for starters, I was born in a bandit tribe and-."

Silva continued to tell her bits of his life story and about his reincarnation, as it was not a secret to anyone within his extended family in Fuyuki. The Knight of Treachery asked a few questions, mainly about Grimm, Huntsmen/Huntresses, the Great War, and the current situation back at Remnant. While Silva finished talking with Mordred, his mind wandered to some information he had on this world, namely the existence of Arcueid Brunestud and the Tohno family. These two are usually associated with the Tsukihime series rather than Fate by the same author in similar or identical worlds.

Silva did his research and concluded that this is set up in the Remake timeline rather than the original since the eldest "son" of the Tohno family is seven right now. Part of him felt tempted to snatch the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception to research and understand while giving the kid a pair of normal eyes but the "accident" that would send Shiki to the hospital had not happened yet, nor did he care enough to prevent it by killing SHIKI a.k.a. Roa beforehand. Regardless, those are things to consider later as the Master's main focus is to acquire the Second Magic and return home.

Time ticked away until midnight came around, and Silva decided to call it a night.

" Come on, Mordred, the Masters of Red are a no-show again tonight."

" We really should just hunt them down instead."

" I'll consider it if they keep on wanting to play the waiting-."

All the Master of Black's hair stood on end as he used Flash Step to grab Mordred and evade, as the top of the building exploded. Silva saw the source of the attack, a golden spear, and followed its trajectory to see an all too familiar golden flying ship appear out of thin air. Riding was, of course, Gilgamesh and likely his Master, Lorelei. The Master of Red was not nervous as he was not the same as ten years ago and directly told the Knight of Treachery.

" Saber, go and link up with one of the other teams."

" Come on, Master, don't hog all the-."

"You are in the way."

Silva curtly stated while keeping his eyes on the Master and Servant of Red. Mordred looked at her Master in shock, then in confusion that quickly morphed into anger as she started to bellow.

" Now listen here, Master, I am the Servant, so I do the-."

She did not get a chance to finish her sentence as a portal opened under her and sent her away, much to her fury. Silva then asked Gilgamesh while ignoring Lorelei.

" So, King Gilgamesh, do you recall the previous War?"

" Of course, and things will be very different this time, Silva Branwen."

" We can agree on that."

Mordred found herself falling from the sky and quickly righted herself as she landed on her feet and created a small crater. She cursed Silva with no small amount of venom.

" F*CK YOU, MASTER!"

" Why are you cursing, my lord husband, Mordred?"

Skadi appeared with Scáthach and Shuten near her as she asked the wayward knight.

" He f*cking sent me away when some gold sparkly Servant appeared out of nowhere."

" Describe him."

The Queen of Snow and Ice demanded with narrowed eyes.

" I said he was-."

" Now, Mordred, in detail!"

Mordred looked at serious she was and complied in describing the Servant that attacked them, and Skadi sighed as she told the knight.

" You were in the way."

While rage bubbles within the Knight of Treachery at being referred to as useless, she is not stupid and asks.

" Do you know that Servant?"

The Queen of Snow and Ice nodded as she revealed his identity.

" He is King Gilgamesh of Uruk of the Archer Class with an Anti-World Noble Phantasm, and a treasure vault said to have everything of value contained within it that he can launch at his enemies."

" Okay... But still, wouldn't it be better for me to fight instead?"

" Not necessarily, as my lord husband has his means of dealing with the King of Heroes, unlike in the last War."
