Chapter 7

(Phoenix's POV): Mrs. Lisa and I had quite the chat. Finally, after much convincing, she allowed the other Kitsunes I brought with me to enter the territory. I could smell them as they came. And she left me in charge, while she gained her energy back.

"Oh and Phoenix, change your appearance. None of my students will listen to a 'Fox' as they call you. Your lucky Lexia knew what you were because the other students wont. And if they think you're a fox, have fun getting any of them to listen. Especially the warriors." Lisa left with a laugh.

I rolled my eyes and felt myself wavering into human form. But in human form I still had my ears and tails, I'm around 110 meaning I have seven tails. When wavering into human form we look almost transparent. Once human, or partly. I take one look at my appearance in a mirror. In human form I was tall and wore a suit. Tie included, I pulled and smoothed back my hair.

"Get ready Catalyst Sacred High, things are about to change." I opened the door and walked out the office.

Let's just hope we weren't too late; the things these students need to be taught. Especially Lexia. Poor Lexia's life has changed so much in just one week.

Lexia's POV: I was sipping my Peppermint tea and flipping through a book about Kitsunes when someone found me.

"Lexia! What's got your nose in a book, shouldn't you be training? Or something?" I quickly shut the book and slid it at the other end of the table with a pile of bird watching books. I mentally slapped myself.

"Hey Grey! There's more to me than blades and combat." I assured him.

"So you're a bookworm too?" He asked, raising a brow as he slid into the chair across from me.

I nodded stiffly, seeing as he raised his brows questionably at me. He reached over to the pile of books I had skimmed through. And picked up the last book I skimmed through, a book on Rare mythical creatures. I gulped. That book mentioned; Kelpies, Leshi's, Cadejo's, Fenrir's, Amarok's, Sleipnirs, Chimeras , Basilisks, and well Kitsunes, But there was also a lot more the book mentioned. He stopped on one page labeled 'Kitsunes' and he glanced at me raising his brows and smirking at me. I looked away, and took a sudden interest in my notes in front of me. Just then a man decides to make his entrance, and notices Grey and me. Making his way over to our table he's grinning the whole time.

"Lexia, just the person I was looking for." He says

Something about him was familiar. Swoosh! Something moved behind him, so when I glanced behind him it was sure a surprise on what I saw.

"Phoenix?" I was sure astonished at his well, human form

"You two met?" Grey gave me a suspicious look.

"No!" He lied.

"Yes!" came my instant reply

We both spoke at the same time, I glanced at him and gave him a, 'Why are you lying' look. But he gave me a, 'Shut up!' look. So I returned it with a challenging glare saying, 'Watch me!' He gave me a glare of his own that said, 'I'm in charge right now, so you're going to listen to me. So be a good girl and obey'. I stared shocked,

"Okayyyyy.''Grey says, grabbing a book and leaving.

I blew out a sigh I didn't realize I was holding.

"Finally, I thought he'd never leave.'' He said.

"What do you need?" I stood up and grabbed my mug.

The Kitsune followed me out of the library, when suddenly I couldn't move and I dropped my mug. Before I could react I was pulled from my still standing body and placed into an all too familiar forest. I looked around, then froze.

"Leeeeeex-iiiiaaaaaa!" The minotaur hissed.

It lowered his head and charged. I was still frozen in horror and confusion; so when I finally snapped out of the trance it was too late. The minotaur had managed to impale me in my stomach with one of its horns. It jerked away and he slithered back into the shadows. And I made the mistake of walking backwards, not knowing I would be tumbling downhill any second now. When the minotaur charged this time I was ready! Only the momentum sent us both tumbling down the hill; in which case was good for the minotaur and bad for me. The minotaur jerked itself off of me, but this time something was wrong. Sure I was in pain and such. But the minotaur was missing something. I looked around and found its missing feature in my stomach. The minotaur's horn was still impaled into my stomach.

Then suddenly I was jerked backwards against my will. I stumbled, being jerked again hurt like hell. I was being jerked back into my body, I guess this is what you call an out of body experience. What the hell, I could bleed to death and here I am making puns and jokes. I was back in my body, only I wasn't standing. No, I was crumpled on the ground in pain, but also Phoenix held me in his arms. His lips were moving but no sound came out. I heard nothing but silence. I slowly began to hear bits and pieces of his instruction. Till I could hear again.

"What's going on Lexia? Talk to me, Why are you bleeding?" He fired .

I looked down, and sure enough the impaled mark was still there, only the horn wasn't. Then I felt it. Looking down in my left hand was the white curved minotaur horn, so before I passed out, I spoke my words carefully.

"Minotaur. Impaled. Dream. Here!" I held out my bloody hand that held the horn before I allowed myself to pass out.

Unknown POV: I had her! She was in my grip! But something yanked her out, and she left wounded. The master wasn't happy with my actions. And that meant punishment. What was my punishment? Well, I had no idea. But I was about to find out!

Slam.

The master entered the basement. I'd been thrown down here after Echo found out what I've done. He looked angry, and I could feel his anger rolling off him in waves. He stopped in front of me, and looked at me disapprovingly at my state. I was currently chained to the brick walls, these chains have been spelled by witchcraft.

"You disobeyed me. I made it crystal clear that the girl was to be unharmed. But seeing as you can't follow simple rules I'm going to have to remove you from this line of work and teach you a lesson. Or rather have some assistance in teaching you a lesson. Understand Blackout?"

Master is suddenly beside a tray of torture tools, that certainly weren't there before. I felt the shadows that once did my bidding slither back to my master, he didn't even flinch. He picked up four throwing knives, and threw three. They landed on both sides of the wall behind me. Finally he threw the last one and it landed only centimeters above my head. I felt hairs fall into my face as the blade cut into it.

Before I knew it, the master held a belt that appeared from behind his back, and he began slapping his hand with it. I shrunk away, but this punishment was far from over. In fact. It was just the beginning.

Lexia's POV: Great, a fourteen year old is being sent away from school on a "Vacation". Also not to bring up the fact that I'm driving, and I'm fourteen! It was raining badly and I could barely see the roads. Lisa gave me the coordinates of where I'd be staying; and before I left the school they took something of mine that I'll never get back.

If only I knew there was a warlock at school. In fact it was one of the teachers! They had me pack my things and move across the country; then cut off all contacts I had with them for safety precautions. But they would come to visit here and there. They think

hiding me is the best idea. Oh and what they did! I almost forgot about it, they strapped me to a chair and painfully stripped me of my vampirism. It hurt, and now I'm—

"Holy Wolf!" I shrieked.

I slammed my foot on the brake pedal. And the car came to a skidding stop. The car stopped in the middle of the road, I stared at the wolf, he looked like he was sleeping. And that my ride hadn't made a sound at all. And that's when I smelled it. Blood. This wolf was wounded; millions of thoughts flashed through my head that second. I stopped myself and took a deep breath and decided to open my car door. I got out and stood in the rain. I slowly approached the wolf, suddenly its eyes snapped open and he started growling.

This wolf had a black pelt with tints of grey here and there, the odd thing about him was what he was wearing. I guess you could say it was half of a wolf skull on top of his head. His stormy grey eyes had golden rings around the perimeter of the iris. His snout was pulled back into a feral snarl. I noticed the cuts and scratches that were open. And if this wolf doesn't let me help, he will die because of blood loss, or he will be taken to the pound by some driver, or even become roadkill. I took a step forward, but he growled and I stopped. I held my hands up and knelt down.

"Hey there, I'm Lexia! And what do you say to me giving you some help?" Okay, so either I'm talking to a shifter, or I'm talking to a wolf who could rip my head off at any second.

When he didn't answer I took a step towards him; which immediately caused him to growl out a warning. I stopped dead in my tracks, then had an idea! I ran back to my car soaked to the bone. I dug through the glove department on the passenger side.

Finally! Satisfied with what I found, I ran back to the wolf. I pulled the slices of ham off the sangwhich and knelt down as close as I could get without him snapping his jaws at me. I held out the ham and he hesitated before sniffing it. His eyes showed hunger and he slowly began to lick the ham. Until he started to scarf down the ham. I gave him the rest of the sandwich; but when he saw I had no more his guarded expression returned and he growled. I pulled out the bottle of water and held it out towards him. It may be raining but he looked thirsty. He tilts his head back, and opens his mouth and I pour it into his mouth. Once the bottle was empty I finally asked him again.

"Now can I help you?" I held my hand a little ways away for safety precautions. But he surprised me, when he moved closer to sniff my hand. I held my breath. Satisfied, the wolf wagged his tail side to side. So when he barked at me I grinned and I half carried and half dragged him to my car. He whimpered and I apologized continuously. After about fifteen attempts to get the big male wolf in my passenger seat. I finally did it and he was bleeding less now as the wounds began to scab over. I ran over to the drivers side and made my way quickly to the coordinates Lisa gave me.

I almost missed the pathway, since it was narrow and a tall tree blocked it on the side I was coming in on. But still, I pulled up to the house. It wasn't that complex looking. I parked in front of the garage and lifted the wolf into my arms. I brought him out of the rain and into my new house. The house looked clean and it wasn't what I expected. I expected the house to be all dusty, gloomy, and somewhat empty. In fact it was quite the opposite, it looked like it's been lived in. Lights were off, furniture was looking brand new and it felt homey.

I put the wolf down on the couch and I dug around. I found an old sheet and I placed it on the table. Placing the wolf on the table I began rummaging around looking for a first aid kit. Finding it in a cupboard above the stove, I pulled it out and laid all the stuff out that I needed to use.

I began to ponder about the wolf on my couch. How could I communicate with him? If he was a werewolf or a Lycanthrope, then I could just simply ask him my questions. But if he is simply a wild wolf, then that's a whole new problem!

"I have no time to explain! But if you're a werewolf I need you to somehow give me a sign you understand me. You may think I don't need to know, but I do. You see, if you're a werewolf then you'll heal quickly and all I'd have to do is clean your wound, but if you're a wolf then I'm gonna take you to a vet because you need stitches." I say.

This had the wolf's attention. He stared at me with such understanding. I would've mistaken him as a human; then again if he is a part of the supernatural race he technically is part human. I took a step and removed the wolf's half-skull, but he growled warningly. But that just resulted in me snapping right back at him.

"Growling at me won't do anything, in fact you're getting worse so make your decision and make it quick."

'Go ahead.' A voice spoke in my head.

I stared wide eyed at the wolf, then shook my head and focussed on the task at hand.
