Viktor's choices.

"Hello Viktor, this is where I should let you browse through my collect of cultivation methods to find a method you want to practice, but the truth is I don't trust you not to be stupid."

Collin made a point to look at Viktor eye to eye. He was expecting Viktor to throw a temper tantrum at what he just said, but all Viktor did was scrunch his face in annoyance before looking away.

"I have known you my entire life, so I know you the type of person to choose the worst cultivation method for yourself because your angry at the clan not wanting you. You would probably pick something like the Heavenly Star method or worse you would choose to be a body refiner."

The way that Viktor was fidgeting in his seat told Collin he was right to suspect him to be stupid. Collin had the urge to punch Viktor in the face, instead he used his cultivation base to crush Viktor into his chair and began to speak in a cold angry voice.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? You want to screw up your potential as a cultivator to spite people who stopped giving a damn about you the moment the grand elder deemed you untalented. If you want to pull this bullshit, maybe you should just go back and live in the shacks, that way you can be happy knowing that they have to waste food and gold for the next five years."

The moment that Viktor wanted to speak, Collin increased the pressure, making it so he couldn't move a muscle let alone speak. After minute of being crushed into his seat, Viktor was covered in sweat, almost looked like he was about to cry. Only then did Collin let up the pressure.

"Since you can't be trusted, I will limit your choices. The results of last night's test show you have a strong fire spiritual root, it also showed you have a strong dark spiritual root. So, you will choose between these two elements, and only these two elements.

For fire, you can choose the Divine Fire God Tactics, it's a high-grade cultivation method that specializes in a powerful offense but little defense. And for dark, you can choose the Holy Dark Void Scriptures, it is a supreme-grade cultivation method that has a very good balance of offence and defense and stealth. It also has the ability to produce a dark shadow proto-domain capable of creating shadow beast under your command.

Choose one and wait in the hall with the others."

Two manuals appeared on the table in front of Viktor, one with a red cover and the other with a black cover. After a few moments Viktor grabbed the black covered book and quickly left the library. This incident was starting to make Collin question Viktor's usefulness, his only hope was given some time he would stop being an idiot, because if he didn't, he would be thrown away like trash for a second time.

After making some notes on several papers, Collin got up and joined the others in the hall. Of the three of them Viktor was the only one acting peculiarly, and the other were quick to notice.

"I am only going to say this once, if any of you are going to act like idiots and waste your potential as a cultivator, I'm going to beat you to the ground, then I'm going to take back everything I have given you, before I throw you out the front gate like trash."

Viktor kept his eyes glued to the floor as Julie and Valter stared at him angerly. While they didn't know exactly what Viktor did to piss Collin off, they could easily guess several things that could have happened. After all one was his twin and the other was his cousin, and just like Collin, they had known Viktor their entire lives and knew he was an idiot.

"Ok, you can stop staring at him. I want you three to set the alarms in your houses to 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, you three will take turns bringing in the meals and then returning the dishes to the delivery chute.

I'll be taking Julie to the market, she needs items to start cultivating, I'll also get some materials that will help you two start cultivating. We'll be heading out at noon, till then you three will be using the items in this space bag and planting spirit herb seeds according to the directions in the book. It's very easy to do and will take you an hour, maybe two to finish.

Oh, and stay out of the guardhouse if you don't want to be eaten. And stay away from the patch of trees behind the female servant quarters if you don't want to have your arms ripped off. And don't mess with the holes dug in the garden beds, or my solar boar will piss on you."

As Collin spoke, he had taken out a space bag with seeds and the gardening book he bought before he became a cultivator. He had made a map of where he wanted everything planted and even bookmarked the pages showing how to plant the various spirit herbs. It should be a very simple task, if they worked together, they would be done before he left for the market.

After he was done talking the trio grabbed the space bag and headed outside while Collin headed to the alchemy room to practice. He was wondering if they would heed his warnings, if they disturbed the titan ape it would most likely grunt at them, while solar boars are famous for using their urine to express their anger. The true problem was the blood marsh raptor, it only accepted Collin because it had an array forcibly imprinted on its soul. This kept the raptor from harming Collin, but anyone else that got within striking distance would regret it.

He gave them warnings, and that was all he could do to prevent them from stumbling into place they shouldn't. After convincing himself he did all he could do to prevent any accidents, he began to clear his mind to preform alchemy. Just before noon, Collin had already made several batches of Spirit Gathering pills, but he was unhappy that they still contained a very slight hint of brown to them.

He planned to use most of them for his own cultivation needs but he was going to give one to each of the trio. Taking the pill would help Valter and Julie to improve their connection to their new dantians, while to Viktor it would help him improve his cultivation. After cleaning up the alchemy room, he walked outside to see the trio had completed their task and were waiting for him.

"Good job. Now, what I'd like you two to do is study your cultivation methods, also think of what kind of weapon you would like to use. "

As Collin spoke the solar boar walked up to him and rubbed against his leg, and a clicking noise could be heard as the bone growths on the titan ape's fists hit the ground. As the trio was busy watching the titan ape walk towards Collin, they failed to notice the raptor leave the guardhouse, until it growled at them from behind.

As they saw the raptor glaring at them, the trio all had different reactions. Valter stumbled backwards, Julie hid behind Collin, and Viktor fell on his ass as he tried to scramble away. Viktor's actions gained the full attention of the raptor, it looked like it was about to lunge at him when it disappeared into Collin's beast orb along with the titan ape.

Ignoring the trio's terror, he once again warned them to stay out of the guardhouse or they would die. This time, instead of thinking Collin was making up rules just because he could, they now knew better.

After both he and Julie changed into their faceless servant costumes, they headed to the market.
