Chapter 4 One sided

Age (744).

Waking up early in the room the towns people gave us to rest for the night we began to prepare for the battle.

"Is everyone ready?" I ask everyone. "I'm ready to kick some ass!" Juri yells while practicing her spin kicks. The other three just nod in agreement. "Then let's go!" I say in reply as I start to feel the ground vibrating beneath my feet.

Our walk to the entrance of the village gate is short and quiet since all of the residents were hiding in their homes watching us through the windows. We could see the hope and fear in their faces, but we don't fear what's coming. We have belief in our own power.

We arrive at the village gate beginning to see shapes on the morning horizon. As a large number of dinosaurs stomp towards us i turn took at my friends, and all I see is a thrill for the upcoming battle. 

We each ready ourselves for the fight as the dinosaurs seeing us pick up speed. I grin before saying "Kill them all!"

Tiechi shoots off to the left side of the charging creatures with the twins following behind him. Meanwhile Juri and I jump to the right.

Upon collision I punched a hole through the chest of the first dinosaur. Next to me Juri released crescent shaped blades of ki from her legs, bisecting multiple dinos.

.....I stare at them while thinking to myself "I wish I could use ki."

Returning my attention back to the dinosaurs I noticed two more running at with their mouths open ready to rip me apart. I raise my left leg in a roundhouse kick to the firsts lower jaw sending it to the side and out the way of the second which is still a few meters away.

I take the chance to glance around at the others. Tiechi was holding a dinosaur by the tail and using it a makeshift bat to send the others flying.

While the twins were circling three dinosaurs that were grouped together launching attacks like wolves hunting prey, it kinda reminded me of the trio de danger now that I think about it.

"Roooaaarrr!"

I turn back to my own battle only to see rows of teeth coming at me. I bring up my hands catching the dinosaur's upper and low jaws in my grip and quickly yanking them in different directions breakin it neck. As it falls to the ground I feel a change in the air an jump up only to see a spiked tail were I once stood.

It seems the Rex I kicked earlier shook it off and came back for more. As I land I see it growling at me, "You mad that I killed this one huh?! Well what are you waiting for come at me bro!!" I yell starting to really get into the fight.

"Roooaaarrr!" It challenged. Scraping its right foot on the ground I could tell it was getting ready to charge me. So I activated the first breath of my Seven heavenly breaths technique and opened my arms wide inviting it to try me.

Boom Boom Boom. In the background I can still here the others going ham on the other dinos while I myself seem to be fighting one of the stronger ones seeing it ate my kick and came back for more.

"Rooooaaarrrr!!" It began to run towards me as I brace for impact. It lowers its head in preparation to ram into me, I at the same time take a half step back and lower my stance.

Boooom!

The dinosaur pushes me back a few meters. My feet leave grooves in the ground until I push forward a little harder bringing us to a stop. I dig my hands into the dino's head and use all my strength to lift it into the air for a suplex.

Booom! Snap!

The ground shakes as it's back snaps upon contract with the ground.

""Roooooaaaarrr!""

More dinosaurs came running at me obviously enraged for the death of their comrade. "Time to stop playing around." I say to myself. "Seven heavenly breaths second activation." Using the second breath brings me to my current maximum power of 120, and with this power the rest of these pitiful creatures get ran through. Not in the good way either.

After finishing my own opponents I have a look around to see the others taking out the stragglers. Tiechi makes his way to me with a smile on his face.

"Well, as you can see I obviously won." I say to him.

"Only because you and Juri used your power ups. Also, you didn't win. She has three more kills than you." Tiechi replied back.

I look over to count Juri's takedowns.

Juri has 12 kills, Tiechi has 6 kills, Kalen & Kali together have 6 kills and I have 9 kills. Since her boost from powering up is bigger than mine she's faster. Leading to her having more kills than me.

The others walked over Kali was still looking around counting the dinosaurs. "There's more of the than we were told. I count 33 of them." She said.

"Well these people are civilians we can't expect them to be as accurate as a warrior would be." Juri commented.

"Kalen, go and get our pay from the village chief. The rest of us will start getting the dinos ready for transportation to the clan. This meat can go along way to feeding our people. We'll leave one third of the meat for this village." I said to everyone promoting use to split in every direction.

(A few days later)

After returning to our clan compounds we began to plan for our eventual journey to the turtle hermits island in a year or so. I let slip that he's kinda perverted so we'll have to bribe him with explicit material.Juri didn't like that at all so she offered to beat him into submission. I had to inform her that if we could beat him up we wouldn't need to train under him.

"Let's train harder in these two year. Try to double our current power before going to the hermit. That way all he'll have to teach us is how to use ki." I said.
