Altiris

As I walked, a settlement emerged behind me. It had a gate guarded by two men. I hesitated as I was unsure of what to expect but one of them smiled warmly to me.

"Welcome, participant." He pushed the gate open to welcome me.

I was speechless. The settlement was bustling with life. Buildings crafted from solid walls instead of the flimsy tents. Towering trees filled the spaces between structures that didn't look like ordinary trees, they must have been summoned by Floras. At the far end a breathtaking waterfall cascaded down into a river that wove its way through the streets.

Water Mages…

The air here was cleaner. The usual orange haze of the outside world seemed to vanish as though the water and plant life had purified the chemical laden atmosphere. People walked the streets in peace chatting and laughing with their faces free from fear. Not far from the gate I spotted a lively market.
