Chapter 23

Sir Witson Hamilton sat on his comfortable couch in the living room, his attention fully focused on the intense game playing on the television screen. The big brown clock hanging by the wall showed a quarter past 12, and the room was filled with the soft glow of dim lights.

His legs rhythmically swayed as he watched, his eyes fixed on the screen.

Martha had already dozed off beside him, her head tilting to the left, supported by her palm. Upstairs, Emma was engrossed in a conversation, chatting away with a smile adorning her face, the glow of her phone illuminating her features.

Sir Witson was eager to know how the game would unfold, his anticipation growing with each passing moment.

However, a nagging worry lingered in the back of his mind regarding Hanna. He had tried reaching her earlier but received no response.

He brushed off the concern, attributing her silence to deep sleep, even though he knew Hanna was not one to sleep through anything- He contemplated calling her again but decided against it, choosing to wait and finish watching the game instead.

Hoping that she was simply catching up on some much-needed rest.

The game continues to captivate Sir Witson's attention, the twists and turns keeping him on the edge of his seat. With each passing minute, his excitement grew as his favored team gained the upper hand and emerged victorious. A surge of joy washed over him, and he celebrated their win with a triumphant cheer.

As the game concluded, the room fell into silence, save for the distant chirping of crickets outside.

Sir Witson turned off the TV and dimmed the lights, enveloping the room in a peaceful stillness.

However, to retire to his room, he couldn't resist the urge to call Hanna one more time.

Sir Witson proceeded to draw the curtains, enveloping the space in darkness and shutting out the outside world.

Before retiring to his room, he dialed her number, his heart pounding with anticipation.

But this time, it went straight to voicemail.

Concern started to creep into his thoughts. Why was Hanna not answering? Was something wrong? He hoped and prayed that she was safe and sound, but a nagging worry gnawed at him.

He hoped fervently that nothing was amiss.

With a heavy sigh, Sir Witson decided to wake Martha, his loyal and loving wife. He gently shook her, whispering her name until she stirred awake.

The worry etched on his face mirrored in her expression as they both made their way to bed. Sleep eluded them as they lay there, his mind consumed by thoughts of Hanna and the unanswered questions surrounding her whereabouts.

Meanwhile,in a completely different scenario, Johnny and Diane emerged from their steamy encounter in the ladies' room, brimming with excitement and pleasure. They were caught off guard when they saw the once vibrant club now in shambles, empty and devoid of any signs of life and patrons.

Confusion clouded their minds as they tried to comprehend what had happened.

Johnny assumed that a fight had erupted, leading to the early closure of the club. With cautious steps, they approached the exit, noticing a few still people rushing out. Attempting to inquire about the situation, they were met with silence as everyone seemed too preoccupied with escaping the chaos.

Matthew and Hanna were nowhere to be found…. Johnny messaged him, but there was no response. Concerned, he dialed Matthew's number, only to be met with silence on the other end.

Frustration and worry washed over Johnny and Diane as they walked back, their minds racing with questions. What had caused the chaos in the nightclub? Where was Hanna?

They couldn't understand why no one was giving them any answers. It was as if everyone had vanished into thin air, leaving them alone and bewildered.

Together, they trudged back, their footsteps heavy with disappointment and confusion. The night that had started with excitement and pleasure had taken an unexpected turn, leaving them yearning for answers and hoping their mates were safe.
