Prologue Chapter

September 21st, 2517, 8:37 hours

In the year 2517, a young boy with messy long blonde hair, his cold red eyes stared up in a isolated room. The boy could be seen mumbling a few words at a time, "War, Soldiers, destruction..." the boy cradled back and forth in a corner holding his knees together.

The scientists other known as his parents, June and Maxima Arcadius. They're UNSC best scientist and researcher that ever existed, they worked as Bio engineering/weapons/Cybernetics.

They were experimenting on their own child, Yin Arcadius aka also known as EX-821. The serial number represents his number at birth. The Arcadius were close to a break through, a nanotechnology that will allow self healing to the wearer and perform much better than a normal powered armors.

"This is truly an eureka moment, our son's body is fusing well with the nanotechnology and with the guardian core this allows him to surpass that of an average human—no beyond that." June said looking at the hologram screen showing Yin's body and x-ray.

The experiments have been taken in the eastern region of Algolis, where the environment was extremely cold and was surrounded by pelicans, a small but high tech facility, it's purpose was to replicate or construct weapons or cybernetics. ODST's roaming everywhere including then blind spots.

The door opened up to show the 5 year old kid walking out of the white room. It seems that he doesn't realize the nano bots inside his body were binding with his genetic makeup.

"So Yin, I know that you haven't been getting enough sleep and eat for the past couple of days, me and your father decided that it's best for you to get some rest and we'll be sending you to a orphanage under UNSC military authorization."

Yin could see the sadness in and noticed the alarm went off. "All ODST's please report to battle station! I repeat, All ODST's report to battle stations!" The intercom went off as his mother gave him her bracelets.

"Take this with you and one day when you learn the truth about our research. The very reason why Humanity is at the brink of extinction."

His father could hear the explosions and gun fire surrounding the base, his face was paled yet tears ran down his face. "Lets get you to the pelican..." he didn't want to show his face to son, he wanted to show him that even at dark times he can't cry.

They took the kid to the helipad seeing a pelican still there. The last remains of important blueprints, weapons, and even datebases have been boarded onto a cargo ship and took off at 0600 hours ago.

"What about you two?" The boy asked softly, he gripped their lab coats tightly. The sound of guns blazing filled the snowy plains, explosions and yelling could be heard from far away. It was too freighting for the child that he closed his eyes, his parents looked at each other and sighed.

"Listen, we have done our job as scientists and researchers but we won't be able to fulfill our job of being your parents, but I can tell you this: As the last of the Arcadius family, you're able to explore so much more than war and stain your hands with blood." His father said putting him on to the pelican.

"Remember Yin, whenever you look up at the stars..think of both of us, as our souls." His mother was breaking down before...

Bang!

A bullet went through her skull, brain matter flew in the air, his eyes widened in pure fear. He just witnessed something that should have been in a tv show, now there her body laying just underneath the pelican as it takes off.

"MOOOOOOOOM!!"

The boy tried to jump out of the pelican but the ODST's members held the kid back, "You can't do anything kid, you'll die." The boy watched his father pulling out a M6 Series and fire at most of the insurrection but in the end he was gunned down.

Then everything that he knew of shattered as the pelican began boarding the Paris Class Frigate, Savannah.

The boy sat in the seat devoid of life most ODST's can relate to him, losing their home, their parents, and most of all their mentality.

Then a black hair women wearing a lab coat enter the pelican, glancing at the boy conditioning.

"Hello Yin, I'm a friend of your parents. I'm guessing they didn't make it?" The boy tears silently flow down his face, nodding slowly.

"I want them to pay..." he mumbled softly, anger filling up his blood.

"And you will get that revenge if you join Project: Orion." The doctor responded. The kid turned to her, his eyes showed nothing but determination and bravery.

"My parents told me revenge is never the answer, besides I'm only a learner not a fighter." He said walking past the doctor. She was shocked to see someone denied revenge so easily and he was just 6 years old.

"Very well then, I hope we can see each other again."

"Mhm!"

Just like that the boy left the pelican to enjoy the ride on the Paris Class Frigate. However, the doctor didn't take no for an answer so she decided to set up a kidnapping when he's sleep.

And that how the my story begun as a Spartan....
