A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

Start of a New Party?

.

.

.

After Feil had the waiters clean the table, everyone left the cozy restaurant and started to talk more about them being a group.

There were subjects about weapons and magic, formations, strengths and weaknesses, and a few more subjects.

They discussed that in their formation, Sam and Kyle in the front, David, Bennett, and Feil in the middle, and Elizebeth and Hana in the rear as they were the mana casters.

It was a good thing that there was a maximum of 10 people in a party, according to the system. It was just good enough to have space for three more members to solidify their party.

Since David was learning about the staff, he could switch between being at the front and middle, supporting Sam and Kyle with range while the others would deal damage and heal.

Looking at the notes in David's book, everyone was impressed, "You're right, it does seem like us partying with each other would be the best option if we're only limited to this class."

"Mhm! So how about we test it out in the virtual training arena?" He smiled.

Everyone nodded at the idea, even if they weren't together like David said, its good to learn how to work in a group.

They discussed about what kind of monsters they should try to kill when they get there.

"How about we fight some advanced hobgoblins? They are humanoid and can also fight in groups, giving us plenty of combat experience." David suggested.

Sam nodded, "I agree, but we should have some warm-ups before going to such an opponent, right?"

David nodded, "Fair enough, any ideas?" He asked.

This time it was Kyle who spoke up, "Maybe we should fight one weak group of goblins to warm-up before going to the hobgoblins?"

"We'll have to modify it so that the goblins are decently scaled, but that should be fine." Sam nodded.

No one rejected the idea, everyone nodded in agreement and decided to go with that.

They quickly arrive at the virtual training arena and hop onto a large lobby enough to fit ten people comfortably.

Since it would take a long time to get everyone's gear to get ready, the lobby already spawned a few crates of armor and weapons for them.

"Well... this is new, but makes enough sense." Hana looked for a staff for herself.

Seeing Hana look for a staff, Elizebeth followed her.

"Staff... staff, staff." David said as he looked around the crates.

After a few minutes, everyone had chosen their equipement, looking like a real professional party... if they were taller and look more mature. Right now, they just looked like some amatuer advanturers at best.

"Oh, right. How many goblins will we be fighting?" David asked Feil who was messing with the settings.

Feil tapped confirm, "We'll be fighting a group of 20 goblins!"

"20? Normally that'd mean there would be at least one hobgoblin as the leader." Kyle murmured.

"Normally, yes, but from the international scale, which is what we'll be using, it would need at least 35 goblins for that to happen." Feil said.

"I see... everyone, get ready. Even though they are goblins and that this is only virtual, they are still very troublesom, even fatal in a real battle." David warned.

Although he had never really fought a group of goblins before. They do have a humanoid body and have strong reproductive organs, so their numbers would also be high and of decent quality, proving them to be quite dangerous.

David had also seen that all of the goblins seem to be much stronger than normal goblins, but weaker than hobgoblins, as if hey were on the verge of breaking through the 2nd rank.

"Understood!" Everyone replied seriously, even Elizebeth's face had turned quite fierce, making her seem like a tigeress.

*Whoosh~*

The group was transported into a forest, there were no animals... or any monster there, yet.

Although there were no signs of anything, everyone immediately began to form a basic formation.

"Everyone look out for any moving bushes or suspiscious sounds." David reminded.

"Understood!" From his perspective, it seems that he's gotten everyone's respect and had already made him the leader of the group, and the co-leader was Feil.

The group steadily walked together, everyone already had their weapons out, even Sam with his humongus shield and sword.

*Crackle~*

David's ear twitched, he reacted and looked to the side, what happened next made his skin crawl.

He saw one group of ten goblins a few dozen meters meters away, looking at their group.

'Where's the other one?' David questioned, feeling a small tingle behind him.

He turned around, confusing everyone, "Did you find something?" Feil asked.

David looked behind him, and squinted.

"Sam, go to the left, there is a group of ten goblins, some of them hav a bow and arrow. Hana, cast some defensive and speed buff on us if possible. There is another group of ten goblins behind us, we're going to be ambushed if we go any further." He calmly explained.

hearing that, everyone's faces changed.

Sam lifted his shield, just barely blocking the two arrows the flew towards them.

Hana also reacte quickly, casting {Agility} and {Shield} on them.

"Other than archer goblins, can you see what other types there are?" Feil asked.

David skimmed the two groups again, "Don't worry, even though there doesn't seem to be any magic casters, wands are still possible so cast some magic defense buffs just in case." He looked at Hana.

"Don't worry, Sam, Bennett and I all have {Mana Shield}, so you can just focus on the others." He tried to put some less pressure on her.

Hearing that, she nodded, casting {Mana Shield} to everyone else in the party while Sam, Bennett, and David casted {Mana Shield} on themselves.

"Prepare for battle! Sam, Feil, Bennett, and Hana, defeat the goblins on your side, Kyle, Elizebeth, and I will kill the ones behind us. GO!" He ordered.

"Hahhh!" Everyone roared, rushing into combat.
