A Reincarnator's Journey

David Valor, a normal sophomore student, dies in a cliche 'truck-kun' accident just to get sent to another world by the system! Using the 'true' system, he slowly rises to the top of the food chain before truly begining his adventure! (David may not be a "Good" Mc as I want to write it in a way of what I would do if I was in this situation myself. Of course there will also be some things different than what I think as well.) *** Note: I have no real plans for this story, it was made on a whim, so it may lose quality on the way, please read with caution! Schedule: I'm still in school so updates will also be somewhat slow, also, english is not my first language so please comment if I wrote something wrong! Thank you for reading!

Eating Out

*Whoosh~*

Now, Bennett had also returned. He wasn't tired or anything, just felt sore from all the beatings he had to take.

"Ow... he didn't have to go so hard on me..." He complained.

"Context." David suddenly appeared beside him.

"Uwahh! Where did you come from?" Bennett back stepped.

"I was here about a minute before you." David deadpanned, and jumped onto the stand.

Bennett followed and sat beside David.

They sat a few seats away from all of the nobles, which they noticed.

David also noticed their eyes and changed seats to be even further away from them.

"Hey... why are we moving further away from them? Shouldn't we get to know the others?" Bennett asked.

"Let's ignore them... for now. First, tell me what happened in there. Don't hide the fact that you've broken through, I can sense that you're basically twice as strong as before." David crossed his hands, interrogating him.

"I... umm... uh..."

"It's not that bad, right? What are you keeping a secret for." David loomed over him.

"... Sure... It's no secret..." Bennett sulked.

He began talking about the entire process of the battle, how he was beaten until even he felt that his life was in danger which helped him break through to tier 3.

*Whoosh~*

While the two were still talking, Gluri had appeared in the middle of the colosseum, "You students are now free to go. Class has ended." He calmly stated.

Without any hesitation, David had pulled Bennett out of his seat, heading towards the cafeteria area.

"Come on, you should be a bit hungry now... right?" David smiled, looking at Bennett who was holding his stomach.

*Growl~*

"That's embarrassing." Bennett caressed his stomach.

"What are we going to eat? I'm kind of tired of eating the free lunch, tastes like what you would eat back in middle school." He complained.

"Then... hmm... haven't been that far in this area, wanna look around?" David asked.

*Growl~*

"Sure... let's just quickly find a place to eat, I'm starving..." Bennett reminded.

The two looked around the place, it wasn't rowdy, but it wasn't desolate either, there were some people eating and talking, others were training, studying, talking with professors, and such. Everyone was doing their own things.

After a minute of exploring, they found a small restauraunt.

There was a small restaurant amidst the others, it emitted a certain smell, and had a certain charm, like a cozy home.

"How about that one? It shouldn't be too crowded." David pointed to it.

"Sure... anything is fine at this point, I'm hungry." Bennett ran to it, pulling up the curtain.

The moment he went inside, he saw a large table accomodating Sam, Kyle, Hana, Elizebeth, and Feil.

"Oh! You guys are here too?" David gracefully walked in.

'Feil... and Elizebeth would make sense... but how the hell did the others come here before we did?' David looked at them with a trace of shock.

"Come! Come! We're just here to celebrate our growth!" Feil smiled cheerfully with a large cup in his hand.

"Brother... that's not-"

Elizebeth was cut off, "Don't worry, sis. We're just students here, so we're also all equals here!" He laughed.

David and Bennett took a seat, Bennett was beside Hana and David was beside Sam, "Did you guys order any food yet?"

This time, it was Hana who responded, "Nope, we also just arrived here about a minute ago! Bennett, let's share the menu, here!" She slid the menu to be between him and her.

Sam followed as well, sliding his menu between him and David.

"Ohh... they have quite the variety." David commented.

"Of course! This is one of the few restaurants funded by the royal family themselves, so this meal is on me!" Feil proudly said.

*Clap~ Clap~ Clap~*

Sam... he was the only one who applauded.

Seeing that no one was following him, he lowered his hands and looked down embarrassed.

'Honestly... that was kinda cute.' Hana glanced at Sam.

'Is... is she looking at me?' Bennett looked at Hana who was looking in his direction.

'Is she finally charmed by me? Gotta take this cha-'

"Then we won't be polite then, your highness!" David smiled at him, interrupting his thoughts.

"Hah! Don't hold back!" Feil challenged.

From the battle... or... sparring, everyone was starving.

Everyone had ordered at least one appetizer, drink, and meal... David... on the other hand, had ordered two drinks an appetizer, and several dishes, surprising everyone

Feil looked at David in shock, "Do you usually eat this much?" He asked.

"Of course I eat this much! Well... I toned it down a bit more than usual, but this should enough!" Since such an opportunity to eat such delicious meals was in front of him, it was a requirement to eat as much as he can!

Everyone looked at him in shock... well... at the table too. The sheer number of dishes overwhelmed everyone at the table.

While in the kitchen...

The head chef had finally done all of his dishes, but he felt a bit faint. The waiter that had just walked in had seen his staggering stance and hurriedly supported him.

"Someone get the head chef to the break room! He's tired from overwork!" A waiter yelled.

"What? How many dishes were ordered for that to happen?" One chef questioned.

"Just get him to the break room and let him rest." The waiter passed him on.

The waiter took him and carefully laid him on the couch before leaving.

He looked at the ticket in front of him, 'It's... ordered by the... 3rd PRINCE!? Who did he invite? Everyone in the palace knows that he doesn't eat that much...' He looked at the multi-page ticket in shock.

Outside...

David was gracefully eating... with the others... except for Bennett, who was digging IN! Even Kyle, Hana, and Sam had some basic table manners.

"Umm... is he usually like that?" Hana looked at David, pointing to Bennett beside her.

"Of course we try to get him to use some table manners, but... they don't work that well. At this point, at the very least we should him strong enough to act like that." David shrugged.

The environment was harmonious, everyone was enjoying their meal, talking with each other.

While they were halfway into their meal, Feil wiped his mouth with a napkin. "I think it's time to discuss what happened in class, shall we?"
