"He may have a reputation for being lazy, but underneath that his a thirst to win," Nedzu said.

"Indeed. He covers his eagerness with a don't care attitude but once you get to know him it's easy to see through." Ectoplasm said.

'I'm curious to see what you have in store for us, young Toshiaki. The full extent of your quirk hasn't been shown and physical fitness will be on display later. If he doesn't limit himself he could go very far in this tournament.'

"What an unusual quirk."

"Who would've thought some as plain as him would win."

"It was probably a fluke or luck. Endeavours son will win this by a landslide." A rather confident member of the audience said. Perhaps he was an advertiser for Endeavor.

"These sport festivals never fail to amaze us so I wouldn't be so confident."

The rest of the race went on with Midoriya gaining a highly surprising second-place using his wit to outsmart Todoroki and Bakugo.

Speaking of Bakugo.

"Don't get cocky because you got first place, If you try and get in my way I'll kill you, you ant."

"Confidence like that should only be backed up by skill Bakugo. I can't hear you from 4th place."

"What did you say to me?" Before Bakugo could attack Yasuhiro, Midnight began talking.

"The first game of the first year stage is officially over. Now without haste let's see what the next event will be." The board began her began spinning and finally stopped after a few second.

"A calvary race! It's just like a regular cavalry battle but based on the results of the last event each person has an assigned point value."

"The points go up by 5 from the bottom so 42nd gets 5 and 41st gets 10 points. And the value assigned to first place is 10 million points!"

All eyes laid upon Yasuhiro now, everyone was an enemy to him.

"So in other words, if you can take the ten million points no one can stand in your way. That's right! It's a survival of the fittest event where the people at the bottom can overthrow those at the top."

Once the event was announced Yasuhiro already had a partner in mind, just one. Shinso though it would be hard to convince him to join him.

"Now you have 15 minutes to make your teams. Start."

People began walking around to make their teams. Yasuhiro spotted Shinso behind him and went up to him.

"Mr 10 million, what do you need from someone like me?" Was his sarcastic greeting.

"I want you on my team. Just you."

"So you've personally sought me out despite knowing what my quirk is."

"That's why I came to you. I have a strategy for both our quirks that can guarantee us victory."

"You sound certain, what'll happen if that cocky idea of yours go wrong."

"It won't. Losing is not something I specialise in."

"You sound confident and you're capable. I'll join you but if this goes wrong, I'll never forgive you."

"I wouldn't want it any other way."

"Let's win this, Shinso."

Shinso was carrying Yasuhiro on his shoulders it was good that Yasuhiro was quite light since Shinso didn't think he could actually carry him.

"Now raise those battle cries, It's time for U.As bloody battle! Light the signal fire." The announcer, present mic, shouted.

"3,2,1 BEGIN!".

All the teams ran on to the field and made their way over to Toshiaki and Yasuhiro.

"How simple-minded,"Shinso muttered from below.

Before any of them could use their quirks the two of them disappeared and appeared on the other side of the field.

"Don't think you get away so easily! Toshiaki!" Bakugo said as he flew using his explosions as a propeller.

Once he was within talking distance of Shinso, he executed his part of the plan.

"You really are pathetic aren't you?" Shinso said.

"What did you-"

"Checkmate! Give us your headband and leave us alone." Bakugo threw his headband over and started flying in the other direction."

"Huh? Bakugo has just surrendered his headband after hearing a few words from the mysterious general course student. We were surprised to see Toshiaki pick someone who placed 27th in the first round but perhaps this is why he was chosen!"

Team Toshiaki easily took the headband that was surrendered to them and continued onwards.

After 10 minutes of hit and run tactics the team slowly built up points and had a rather peaceful time that was until Yasuhiro could feel an attack coming from behind which he managed to avoid.

"Todoroki, so you've finally come for me."

"There's no point preying on the weaker team. You're the only one worth attacking." He stated.

"Iida so you decided to join Todoroki huh, guess you got tired of being in Midoriyas shadow."

"He wants to be known as something more than a shadow, someone with ingeniums blood running through his veins should want better, isn't that right?." Shinso mocked.

"You Know nothing!"

"Run away."

Iidas body went limp and he followed Shinsos command, he ran as far as he could from them.

"That worked surprisingly well. They'll be back to annoy as soon enough."

"I'm glad I joined you,"

The battle went on for 25 more minutes and the end of the cavalry battle had come closer. He wasn't annoyed by any of the people which put him on edge a bit.

"Let's get past these 5 minutes and we'll be at peace, Shinso."

Shinso came to a halt and it was easy to see why.

Midoriya and his team were right in front of them Todoroki's team and Bakugos team was on the rear. were behind him. He was interested to see how this confrontation would go.

"So is this a temporary truce against me? I wasn't planning for this definitely."

"We know that we can't beat you directly so, we decided to beat you first and then we'd fight to see who gets your headband," Todoroki explained

"That implies you'll be able to take our headband." Was Toshiakis answer. He was loving this.

"Even if you teleport, we'll easily catch up with you and you'll run out of steam eventually. And your friend's mind control won't work." Midoriya quipped.

"They've got me, Yasuhiro."

"That's smart. I commend your strategy, but I don't intend on losing, my mother is watching me and I'd like to not embarrass her." Yasuhiro almost took off his blindfold but went against it.

"So that's what it's going to be," Todoroki said as he sent a wave of Ice towards Yasuhirso's direction.

"For the first time in this event, Yasuhiro seems to be put on the backpedal with an unlikely alliance strung up between 2nd, 3rd and 4th place! How will he get out of this one, his plans seem to be at an end."

"I wouldn't underestimate his ability to make plans on the fly. He has a strategic mind on the level of a Veteran pro hero. But I'm also interested in how he will try and get out of this one."
