A promise (20)

After awhile of peaceful sleep, I woke up slowly as I gently streched my arms and legs when I noticed there was a plate of food on my desk as there was a small note next to it.

I shrugged and decided to eat the food that was left on my desk neatly before reading the note beside it. When I finished my food I finally decided to read the note. “My child, I hope you eat well.. Please take care of yourself, okay? Always make sure you're doing what you love and the things that make you happy. -Dad” As I finished reading the small note my lips trembled, but I was able to compose myself quickly while taking some deep breaths calmly.

“I'm so glad.. Thank you papa.” I said to myself feeling grateful before I grabbed the empty plate and headed downstairs to the kitchen, but when I saw my family together eating peacefully which made me feel a little jealous but I brushed it off and went to the sink to wash my dirty dishes.
