Episode Four: Cell Jr's First Mission

Cell and Cell Jr. are waiting for a few people to arrive in a room along with Red Tornado, Black Canary and Martian Manhunter.

Cell is standing in the corner with his signature look of crossing his arms on his chest and leaning on the wall. Cell Jr is sitting on the floor beside him eyeing all the heroes, as if observing them out of curiousity and amusement.

The door slides open, Batman and a boy with a red attire arrives followed by Aquaman, The Flash and Green Arrow alongside with what Cell assumes to be their proteges.

After studying the files in the watchtower, Cell has now memorized all the members of the Justice League, and can recognize most of them by looks and description.

Everybody introduces each other but Cell and his kid remain silent in the corner, not wanting to socialize with these lower lifeforms. So Red Tornado had to introduce them himself. On the contrary, however Cell listened to them attentively and things got tense.

"They dont treat us like equals, they treat us like children! We're supposed to be Justice League Members and yet they underestimate us?!" said a teen in a red suit carrying a bow.

"Now let's calm down kid, we are still at the first step here." Said Green Arrow.

"I thought the first step was to be introduced in the HQ?" Flash's protege stated.

"HQ? this isnt even their real HQ! the real one is in space, bet they didnt tell you that!" the young boy with the boy, who is now revealed to be named Speedy, claimed.

"Thats enough." said Aquaman.

"Or what? you'll send me to my room?! You can't tell me what to do, I'm not your child! I'm not even HIS!"pointed Speedy to Green Arrow asserting himself angrily.

Cell was listening but stopped because he was annoyed by these wretched prepubescent brats, but the gist seems to be the kid being mad with being treated as a child and not taken seriously after his so called "complete training". Cell Jr was just happy to be around his dad, but was amused and giggling at the people arguing.

"Oh, for christ's sake! Stop acting so immature! So what if they don't take you seriously? that's natural you immature brats, you guys are newbies you still have a lot to prove." Cell said.

"Acting all high and mighty just because your the newest member of the Justice League! Get off your high horse, you wouldnt understand!" Speedy replied.

"I joined the Justice League because I was strong enough to beat the living hell out off the most strongest members of the Justice League, THEY begged ME to join the League, I DIDN'T beg them to get in. They saw my strength first hand and I accepted because of the pay. Something a weakling like you would never even dream of having." Cell taunted.

"Enough! we're not here to quarell." said Manhunter. Cell just smirks and continues to speak...

"Hahahahaha! these brats don't seem to understand, so let me break it down for you. When an employee completes his On The Job Training, do the Managers treat them as equals? No. They treat them as newcomers who dont know a single thing about the work!

Like freshly graduated green horns who think they can handle themselves in the real world. You guys act angsty just because you could hold your own against a few thugs? think you guys are big shots just because you got powers? Big deal! My Cell Jr here could beat all of you here into a pulp, but you dont see him acting all arrogant." Cell gloats.

"I've seen other brats who are stronger than you could ever hope to be and are way more humble. And they beat me! Something that is impossible for the likes of you.

You guys are hungry for glory and you thirst for recognition. Dont bite off more than you can chew kids, I earned my position at the League, a Perfect being such as myself naturally has the abilities to get in the League, an ability that you will never possess!" Cell mocks.

"Perfect being? So, is your ability being a Super Narcissist?" Kid Flash replied.

"Abilities? Hahahaha, Kid, I can regenarate from the brink of death, regrow limbs and have enough power to level entire continents with a flick of my fingers, can you emulate that?" Cell retorts.

Speedy gets angrier and leaves.

Green Arrow calls out to wait and stop to his protege but is met with hostility from Speedy.

"FINE, THE REST OF YOU STAY HERE AND REMAIN SIDEKICKS! I'LL PROVE TO ALL OF YOU THAT I'M HIGHLY CAPABLE, WE'RE HEROES TOO!"

"Good Luck Brat! You'll need it!" Cell taunts.

"ENOUGH! WE-" Batman says but is cut off by Superman calling from a monitor on the wall.

"Calling all present League Members, we have a situation at Cadmus it's on fire they need help"

"Oh great, so we're firemen now?" Cell comments but is met with stares and glares from the others.

"What? Why do you think the Fire Department is established and payed for? Don't tell me we are going to steal their jobs and do their work for them?!" Cell reasoned.

Another League Member appears on the screen.

"We need help, something massive is blocking the Sun." The guy in a magician outfit announced.

"The sun thing is more important, we'll deal with it first, Cadmus can wait." Superman asserts.

"We can help." Robin said.

"No, you guys stay here this is official League mission, remain until orders are given" Batman said.

"We can handle ourselves!" said Kid flash.

"You guys are not ready yet." Aquaman hastily said.

"But I believe we are ready my King, this is what we trained for, this is what you guys guided us for." a tall teen called Aqualad says.

"Not this time kid, maybe next time." The Flash said.

"New guy let's go." said Green Arrow.

Cell walks nonchalantly while the others run to the exit.

"Stay here Junior and get acquainted with your colleagues." Cell commands.

Cell Jr. salutes his father in confirmation.

"Now that they're gone, lets take care of Cadmus." Robin says.

"But they told us not to interfere." said Aqualad.

"Yeah, about the sun. They didn't specify anything related about Cadmus." replied Robin.

"How bout you uh...bugboy? whats your name again?"

"Cell Junior."

"Right. so are you in? wanna impress your dad?"

Cell Jr. thinks while putting his hand on his chin, and after deciding he nods.

"Alright, let's go team!" said Aqualad

They head to the scene and is met with firefighters putting out the fire from the building, Aqualad and Kid Flash rescue the people and help put out the fire. Aqualad's ability helped massively being able to manipulate water to a certain degree.

Afterwards, they all head into the building to investigate. Robin discovers an elevator, they dont use it but instead Aqualad opens the shaft.

"This isnt normal, a normal 2 story bulding shouldnt have an elevator, specially one who ventures below. Something's wrong here." Robin comments.

"Agreed" Aqualad says.

Cell Jr is just all giddy and happy thinking about what would happen if he completes his first mission.

Robin uses his grappling hook to descend carrying Aqualad, meanwhile Cell Jr. nonchalatly floats and carries Kid Flash. Robin hacks the security system before exiting the elevator shaft.

When it opens they see an underground warehouse . They press forward only to be met with huge alien like species but remain non hostile. The team arrives in a room where they see creatures in glass containers while set on electricity.

"So this is how they hide this underground facility, what a horrible way! The real Cadmus isnt on the grid but hidden!" said Kid Flash

Aqualad then explains a myth about Cadmus Dragons in his folklore but Cell Jr. didnt care, he floats closer to them and he ponders for a bit.

'What are these things? are they conscious? I can see that they're like me and daddy, created artificial life forms maybe?' Junior thought.

Cell Jr. stops thinking only to find Robin looking at a computer, he then explains that their called Genomorphs and that their, made for combat to which Cell Jr. found interesting and was a bit enthusiastic about.

Suddenly they were confronted and attacked by a man called Guardian, with a golden helmet and some Genomorphs.

A battle ensues.

Robin throws smoke grenades on the ground rushing at the aliens. Kid flash zooms around the battlefield fighting and Aqualad takes on Guardian whilst Cell Jr. just stays behind and obseeves them, amusing himself, though nobody seems to notice.

They were getting overwhelmed when suddenly Cell Jr. shoots death beams at the Aliens killing them with Guardian barely dodging. Cell Jr. then laughs mockingly and prepares to shoot another one towards Guardian but is stopped by Aqualad.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I don't know about what you are taught by your father and what your customs on your planet are, but we superheroes do not kill!" he said.

An alarm goes off, they run away, but are trapped by a massive locked door. Robin hacks the door to be opened he then says to follow him this way and they all do.

They are chased by a lot more Genomorphs but Cell Jr. kills them quite easily with a fully charged Masenko, the Masenko ball explodes on contact wiping them all out.

They stopped beuig chased and are now inside an Elevator.

"We're heading down?" Aqualad says.

"Dude! OUT is UP" Kid Flash says.

"Project K.R is below on sub level 52, we are not leaving." Robin asserted.

"Perhaps we should contact the League, this is getting out of hand." Aqualad replies.

"And what? get scolded like kids? might as well complete the mission and get recognition." said Robin.

"The entire League will take our heads!" Kid flash scoffs.

"Ahahahahaha!" laughed Cell Jr. "This is fun!" he added.

They were about to reply but the door suddenly opens. What greets them is a cave with a weird alien-y vibe.

"Well, we are already here" said Kid Flash.

Cell Jr. Giggles loudly while Aqualad sighs.

After deciding which way to go, they are met with a different looking, demonic looking Genomorph saying halt. It used psychic abilities to attack the team by grabbing nearby barrels and throwing them at them.

Cell Jr. uses psychic abilities to retaliate by overtaking the barrels from the Genomorph and throwing it at his face. Cell Jr. then laughs loudly and sticks his tongue out to mock the enemy.

(Cell used psychic abilities to make the arena in the Cell Games so I assume Cell Jr has it too.)

Enemy reinforcements appear, and this time there are big ones that resemble elephants like the one they first saw. Cell Jr. prepares a Galick Gun from Vegeta's arsenal to shoot and wipe them out but is stopped by aqualad grabbing him by the arm interrupting his charge. They all then run towards a sealed room and locked the door.

Cell Jr. is mad at being stopped and gives Aqualad a huge slap sending him flying, only minorly damaging him.

"Coward!" Cell Jr. says as he makes a look similar to his father, an evil grin and a smirk.

"We are heroes, not conquerers, no need to wipe them out mercilessly and unecessarily. Co-operate with us, next time you slap me again, I will hit back!" Aqualad says as he gets up.

"I don't take orders from weaklings." Junior replied as he sticks his tongue out.

"Uh guys, stop arguing and look at this, you might wanna see this." Kid flash said.

A boy resembling Superman in white clothes bearing Superman's symbol is inside a test tube.

Cell Jr. grins and laughs then says "Ahahahahaha, maybe this one will give Cell Jr. a challenge."

"Kr? this is the atomic symbol for Kryptonite, is this a clone?" Kid Flash muttered.

"Robin? Hack!" Aqualad asserts.

"R-right,right"

Robin explains and Cell Jr pays attention this time, he is curious about this entity.

"Weapon designation Superboy. A clone grown in... SIXTEEN WEEKS?! from D.N.A acquired from Superman." Robin reads from a hacked data pad.

"Stolen from Superman." Aqualad clarified.

"No way the big guy knows about this." Kid Flash follows up.

"And these creatures?" asked Aqualad.

"Genomorph gnomes telepathic, force feeding him education and knowledge" answered Robin.

"Whoah, they're making slaves out of...well, Superman's son." Kid Flash said with a pitying tone.

Junior leaves them, then hovers towards Superboy and looks at him with a curious gaze. Meanwhile Aqualad tries to contact the League but is met with no signal.

Outside the room a scientist scoffs "Are they still in there? with the weapon?!"

"We can't get the door open." replied Guardian.

"Use your Telekenis!" said the Scientist to the Demon looking Genomorph.

"I have tried but to no avail, a small blue entity is blocking my abilities with his own, I cannot use my powers. They're disabled." Replied the Genomorph. "That creature, he is very powerful, he could kill us all within seconds if it wanted to." he added.

"USELESS! ALL OF YOU! get some muscle to open the door now!" the scientist ordered.

"Already on their way." Guardian replied.

"You do realize that once they get out, we can't let them leave." angrily said by the scientist.

"Doc, this isnt your typical meddling kids, their Superheroes you don't want to get on the wrong side of the Justice League. And one of them is highly dangerous, when I fought it I was suddenly overwhelmed within seconds, but I could sense it wasn't serious. It was like it was toying with us." Guardian added.

"I don't care whatever they are but it's better than being on the wrong side of the Cadmus Board of Directors believe me."

"Contact the G-gnomes inside the Kr."

"This is wrong" Kid Flash muttered.

"We cant leave him like this" asserted Robin.

"Set him free." Aqualad said.

When Cell Jr. heard this he ripped the Pod open before Robin could hack to open it.

"Nyehehehehe-ahahahahaha." Cell Jr. laughed exitedly.

The entity called Superboy wakes up.

He rushes at Aqualad but Cell Jr protects him by Kicking Superboy from above sending him to the ground.

Cell Jr smirks and says "Come and get me ahahahaha"

Superboy gets up then rushes at Cell Jr. but is stopped because he is grabbed by Robin and Aqualad. "Stop we are helping you!" said Robin.

Cell Jr notices that the G-gnomes are controlling Superboy but lets it be because he wants to play with him.

Superboy shrugs and throws Kid Flash, Robin then hits Superboy with a smoke bomb in his face. He is then kicked by Aqualad in the face. Robin tries to Zap Superboy with a superpowered tazer, but to no effect. Superboy grabs the cable and pulls robin grabing him by the face and throwing him on the ground.

Cell Jr's fun is cut short so he grabs Superboy's attention again by firing a simple Ki Blast that explodes with a minor burn and low damage. Whilst Superboy is distracted Aqualad takes the opportunity and hits him in the face with his water hammer.

Superboy gets angry then grabs Aqualad and Jumps slamming him too the roof and landing while Aqualad becomes unconscious.

Seeing all of his Team knocked out Cell Jr. can finally have fun he powers up to Super Saiyan 1 then uses Instantaneous Movement to get behind Superboy punching him in the side leaving him writhing in pain and then tries to charge up a Special Beam Cannon only to be stopped by Kid Flash.

"Don't, he needs help, he isn't himself. Please!"

Cell Jr thinks. 'If I keep him alive surely we can play again.'

He the fires the Special Beam Cannon.

"N-no!"

but what surprised Kid Flash was that it wasnt aimed at Superboy but to the G-gnomes behind him.

Outside the Room...

"Well Dubbilex?! Have you gotten them yet? Use the "weapon" to deal with them inside that room!" The scientist said.

"Professor Desmond, the G-gnomes in there, they...they're dead. I lost contact with them." The Demon looking Genomorph named Dubbilex said.

"Tsk! Useless! I'll go get "Blockbuster" I have a feeling I'll need it sooner or later. Stay here!"

The smoke clears up in the room, Kid Flash sees Superboy collapse to the floor.

"Y-you shot those small Genomorph statues, they must've been controlling him! Nice one Cell Jr!" Kid Flash said in an elated tone.

"Kehehehe" Cell Jr. laughed and smiled at Kid Flash.

Everybody wakes up.

"W-What happened?" Groaned Aqualad as he waked up.

'SUPERBOY!' Aqualad remembered as he quickly stood up and drew his weapons, but what he saw was a laughing Cell Jr. floating mid air, an injured Kid Flash and an unconscious Robin.

Kid Flash explains what happened.

"This is quite surprising, I did not expect you to be so powerful, to be able to contend toe to toe with a Kryptonian, I had assumed your father was just bluffing." said Aqualad as he walked to Robin waking him up.

Everyone gets their bearings and regains their composure.

"So whats the Plan?" asked Kid Flash.

"We're trapped here but to find a way out..." Aqualad said.

"I looked into the map, no other way besides through the way we came in." Robin comments.

"I have a plan." said Cell Jr. shocking everybody, uptil now he had acted aloof and immature, but what they didnt know was that Junior had inherited his father's massive intelligence. "We're all ears" said Robin.

"First, I explode the door, then I go with a full frontal assault, followed by another full frontal assault, we kill the bad guys and mission complete!". Cell Jr. confidently announced.

"Hey wait we cant just-" Robin said but is cut off by Cell Jr. putting his index and middle finger on his forehead followed by a white glow and orange lightning.

"Hehehe-AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Cell Jr. laughed. Cell Jr. fires the Special Beam Cannon towards the door. Junior grunts... "HAAAAA!"

The beam pierces the door and ALL the enemies outside, with the exception of Guardian and Dubbilex but it left them knocked down, before emitting an explosion from behind them causing the entire area to produce a mild earthquake.

Cell Jr. was surprised thet they lived, but he found it reasonable because he only charged his Special Beam Cannon for a few seconds. He wasn't intending to kill them and to just open the door, he held back by A LOT, but they still died causing Cell Jr. to make a frown. He was expecting a fight after all.

"Weak!" Cell Jr. scowls in dissapointment.

Dubbilex wakes up and gets up, Cell Jr. sees this and chuckles before making a murderous grin and Charges up an enhanced Ki blast in his palm pointing towards the genomorph.

"W-Wait, I mean no harm, honestly! T-that kid he is our hope our key to freedom, for me and my kind's freedom, we are trapped here. We were forced to stay here against our will so please, allow me to assist you so we may see our freedom once again!" Dubbilex said.

But Cell Jr. was having none of that, for him he was just an enemy and a weak one at that. He doesn't care for that creature nor for his species. What happens to them is none of his concern.

Cell Jr. puts his hand down...he gives the Genomorph a smile and then he used instantaneous movement in front of him stabbing his stomach with all of his fingers as if it were a knife. Blood drip down and the Genomorph collapses on his own blood.

The rest of the team got out of the room and what greets them is a horrid sight. They were about to burst with anger but a voice is heard across the room.

"Y-you killed him, monster! You must be exterminated!" Desmond said as he drank a vial of gray liquid.

"Feast your eyes on the power of Blockbuster!" Professor Desmond roared as he transforms into a grey Titan/Hulk like being, growing in massive size.

Cell Jr. tried to sense his strength, he was again dissapointed. He stops floating and walks towards Desmond with an indifferent look on his face, but his eyes, oh that murderous eyes of his and that devious smirk resembling his father...it could be recognized from a mile away.

He suddenly vanished using Instantaneous Movement and punches Desmond in the Stomach, causing the Titan like figure to writhe in agony he then gives him a jab to the cheek and an uppercut. Desmond is then sent tumbling down but gets up and picks up a huge piece of boulder and throws it at Cell Jr..

Cell Jr. smacks it aside and puts two of his hands on his forehead, his palm facing outwards and charges a Masenko Ball that explodes on the enemy's chest, causing immense damage.

Cell Junior is amazed to see that the enemy, although he is not trying his best nor half of his best still stand, albeit extremely wounded. Cell Jr. then puts his hands forward charging a Masenko Beam, but is interrupted by Robin throwing exploding Boomerangs at him, yelling "Stop! dont kill him!" but this does not affect him. It didn't even make him flinch.

He ignores it, but his arm is grabbed by Kid Flash, he kicks the young boy into a wall. Aqualad sees this and bashes his mace into Junior's head. It recoils, leaving a gash of blood at Jr's head but It does nothing apart from that. Cell Jr.'s eye glowed a bright purple and uses Psychic powers and with a strong force, Aqualad is suddenly thrown into a wall.

Cell Jr. fires the beam he was charging before he was interrupted, upwards piercing the enemy and destroying the Cadmus Lab above, although it wasn't fullt charged it was still a powerful beam.

Cell notices the small surge in Ki, and smirks. Cell then said to the other league members that ke knew where the Kids are.

Of course, Cell knew this before hand as he could sense his child's life force and the other kids too, as well as knowing that they would go to Cadmus seeking for a mission. But decides to keep this at the last second for amusement, and also because he feels that there was no need to.

"They're at Cadmus." Cell and Batman both said in unison.

Superman asked Batman how he knows this.

"I secretly placed a tracker in Robin's belt" replied Batman.

Superman is surprised at this and give Batman a look.

"Its only fair for me to look out for my own son." defended Batman.

Superman drops the subject, and proceeds to question Cell. "How about you? how'd you know?"

"Oh, just a hunch." replied Cell with a smirk as he crosses his arms.

"Let's go." Superman said to the other League members.

Cell Jr. then teleport's beside the rest of the team grabbing them and using Instant Transmission outside the destroyed building. He does this repeatedly until everybody, including Superboy is brought outside.

A few Justice League members arrive on the scene.

"Looks like your excursion ended well eh, Junior?" Cell said annoying some of the League Members but they decide to let it be.

Cell Jr laughs and is seen with a hearty smile "AHAHAHAHAH." he laughed as he hugs his father.

"Good job kiddo, now tell us about your achievements and about the mission when we get back to base." Cell said to his son.

"Okay daddy."

"Now, let's go back to HQ, shall we? After all they dont look well." Cell said to his subordinates.

"Indeed." answered Martian Manhunter

They all then flew off.
