Time to Boogie Woogie

{Shibuya subway system}

(Clap)

The sound of the Clap echoed in my ears as Kugisaki disappeared in a blink. 

My ears heard the sound of panting next to me as a rock was left in the path of Mahito. Then two voices Exclaimed in unison, in English. 

""BROTHER!""

Yuji's face lit up at the sight of the muscle mass of a person. He stood off to the right of our arena. His hands balled into fists as they rested on his hips. His blue Jacket blew with a breeze behind him.

"My Brother! Are you alright!" 

Yuji with a grateful smile on his face, guilt hidden beneath it, "Yeah" The word like a sigh came from him.

With a deep look at Yuji the hulking mass of a man grunted. Then said, "Good, I see a new face as well."

He then turned to me. "You!" He pointed to me. Then He said, "What is your type of Woman!" 

With no filter on my mouth from years of conversations with my masters, "Thick Thighs, save lives!"

Without missing a beat he nods and goes, "Interesting... We can be friends. Kyoto, Third Year, Toudou Aoi" He declares.

Kugisaki turned to me with a "Huh?" to which I just shrugged my shoulders to it. 

Looking at the fuming Mahito across the room, "Emiya Azarius, Alien mage? yeah that works." nodding to myself. 

Mahito screaming and charging once more at us, made us renew our attacks.

Yuji once more charged to the melee. A clap brought Toudou next to me as Kugisaki detonated more cursed nails towards Mahito. She was in Toudou's position now.

Arrodes rang in my head... a lot of information suddenly was thrust upon my mind as he spoke. 

("Successor! It's happening! Due to the harmonic resonance between the three forms of energy, they sparked the last necessary push for the creation of the Marble of Oblivion. This is requiring all energy from the three sources to be used to fuel the process. 

Due to this, the Pathway abilities are sealed and you are unable to utilize your own sources. This includes Magecraft and Magicka as well. This is temporary until the completion of the Marble.

I have also compiled all necessary memories of the original timeline that you were a witness to. This should allow for ease of communication and the information of the participants in this catastrophic event.")

("What can I use?") I asked in my head. Toudou looked to me as I spoke to Arrodes. But my eyes were still focused on Mahito. My brain moved faster as more Worms of Mysteries that made up "me" took on the mental load. 

("All physical mutations brought about by the Pathways are still able to be used. This includes Physical weight shifting, Clown's Physic, Thief's Hands, Etc. You are also able to use the artifacts you posses due to the inherent Magicka inside of them. Azazel is still applicable as well as he is still a separated Identity from you. Ombra is also available but I am unsure if you are able to command her.") 

With only a second going in real time by Toudou asked me his question, "My friend, Do you know of my abilities?"

As the headache subsided from the influx of info, I nodded, "Yeah, just got the deluxe package stuffed in my brain. Clapping lets you switch places with two objects correct."

"Hoh? You even know this? As expected from, My friend. What can you do?"

"Right now? Not nearly as much as I want." Toudou clapped and shifted Yuji with a stray rock next to Mahito. Then he clapped once more and Kugisaki was shifted away from a troublesome attack of a worm growing from Mahito.

"Right now, I can only use my artifacts and shift my body weight by several hundreds of pounds. My cloak can control shadows and my gun can shoot random spells, Like REALLY random spells. Buffs, to heals, to damage. The works."

A hum left him as he took that in. Then he said, "And the short sword?" 

"Can cut really nice, Don't know if it will hurt his soul though."

"Good enough, slash at me." Hearing the words I shifted my weight and swung wide with my left. As my blade approached him, a smirk was on his face. I also changed the angle of Amentia to align with his position. My gun arm steadied by my body.

He clapped his hands low and all of a sudden Mahito was in front of me. My own smile was on my lips. Pulling the trigger got me a lucky break as the purple shot hit him, Then my blade cut into his torso.

The spell fired was a soul trap spell. Harmless in normal circumstances. The individual would normally need to be killed after all. But when it hit the distorted being of humanities emotions given form? It tore into his soul. 

He screamed in fear of that, which left him wide open as my blade tore through him next. And I followed through with the slash biting into his chest. Thus, several hundreds of pounds of force punched into the fleshy creature rocketing him back. He slammed into a pillar and then through it.

Popping my neck and rolling my shoulders I walked forward. We only just just got started after all. 

Winding up I threw my blade at Mahito with full force. Yuji immediately got into a stance and Toudou ripped his jacket off. Just as Mahito became aware of the blade, Toudou once more clapped switching Yuji and my blade. 

Sprinting I caught up with Yuji as he began to barrage Mahito once more. Shadows coalesced into a clawed fist as I neared them. Nails soured through the air as Kugisaki joined in the beating. 

My blade flew to me through the air. Jumping above Mahito I caught it slashing down at him.

Then came the words, "Don't stop!" And I grinned from remembering those words echoing the first time Yuji and Toudou fought together. 

Then came the claps. With rhythm, they echoed as Mahito felt the drumbeat. I followed as instructed and didn't stop. As I blinked, I was in a new position. My many minds keeping up with the flow and changes. 

Mahito was trying to counter us. Blades would pop out recklessly around his body as we continued to pummel him. Toudou gave us just the advantage we needed every time. Well timed, well placed, and well maneuvered. Mahito was in pain. 

"Soul Multiplicity, Body Repel!"

When Soul trap ended though, he retaliated. I could sense the magic wear off just before Mahito exploded in pillars of fleshy creatures. He brought the celling down as well. 

One of my minds sent Azazel out from my shadow. My familiar shadow blinked right next to Kugisaki and covered her in a dome of shadows. 

Mahito reconstituted from the fleshy creatures and held out two hands, summoning hammers made from flesh. The smile on his face was tarnished with anger behind it. 

He began running towards myself and Yuji, we went into our stances and Yuji bolted forwards. I shot Amentia once again, noticing the bluish green of alteration magic, I changed the angle. My shot hit the ground next to Mahito as he saw no reason to dodge in his charge. 

The buff spell was sadly wasted, I lamented. But another shot just as he was reaching Yuji slammed into the swinging hammer. The small fire bomb spell erupted throwing it from his hands. And he was wide open.

Yuji ducked in and threw a strong uppercut into his gut. The black and red lightning flashed once more.

"Black Flash!"

Throwing up blood he was sent to the sky. Taking a step, my vision changed as a clap was heard. I was above ground now on the streets. Three more claps rang as I adjusted and moved forwards to the falling Mahito. 

I fired shots but he was able to dodge them with his weird body. When he landed he created more of the worm like extensions of his body. My order went through to Azazel to protect Kugisaki. The lovable sadistic cat was all for it as he hopped on her head.

I called out as he was hopping up, "The Cat will protect you!" as I raced forwards. 

With Azazel as he hopped up. Kugisaki just let out a "Wha?" then proceeded to cover her with shadows. They wrapped like cloth around her. Another confused "Huh" as she felt the strength but it with no time to comprehend things as Azazel shadow blinked them from one of Mahito's worm things. 

With a step from the shadows she was uncomfortable with the newfound prowess and stumbled. Azazel patted her head from his newly found throne, and allowed her to get comfortable. 

Back with myself and Yuji, we had to keep dodging as we tried to gain on Mahito. His sadistic laughter as he ran from us was grating. 

He then split into two and reformed the second into an rocky muscled version of himself.

"Polymorphic Soul Isomer!"

Sending the rocky one my way, I holstered Amentia and my clawed grip came out once more. I saw the rocky variant wind up a haymaker so I followed suit with my right. 

In the contest of strength, the rocky one was the loser. Though with my separation from Yuji the rocky one was a thorn that wouldn't go down. 

Toudou was right with Yuji as he fought the original. Kugisaki eventually got ahold of the shadow enhancement and came barreling through my fist fight with the rocky one. Azazel having decided her shoulder now was nice apparently in his thoughts. 

With Kugisaki adding in cursed nails into her hand to hand, we put rocky on the ropes for a moment. 

With a yell Kugisaki launched nails once more and one stuck into the chest of our foe. My eyes lit up with the information passed from Arrodes. Running behind the thing I enhanced my weight to the max dove under his armpits. I pulled the thing into a full nelson. 

Kugisaki saw the same thing I did and she rushed to me with her hammer cocked back. A full swing hit the nail as she screamed, "Tomonari!" 

[The other side]

With Yuji and Toudou, Mahito was keeping them at bay with large worms, forcing them to fight through the crowd of them to get to him. The excitement on his face was palpable as he schemed. 

As Yuji was in the air falling down he sent a large worm to intercept him. The result was a billboard sign cutting into it's face as Yuji continued his downward fall. He flipped into a dropkick as he saw Mahito. 

Toudou was forced into dealing with many of the worm like creatures on the other side as Mahito forced them to separate more and more. 

Mahito was able to catch Yuji's leg as he dodged. Laughing he followed the momentum of his fall and flung Yuji towards the open area of Sukuna's aftermath. Following behind after him he sped until he was across from him in the open area. 

Toudou appeared next to Yuji with a flash of Cursed energy. He spoke, "My brother, He doesn't seem to want us to fight together." A grin on Toudou's face after he spoke.

The demented smile grew on Mahito's face. Interlocking his hands he shouted with sinister glee, "Ryoiki Tenkai, Jihei Endonka!" 

(Domain Expansion: Self embodiment of perfection)

But just as the Domain was starting to expand, nails once more erupted from his chest as he screamed in pain. It collapsed the start of the domain. Toudou passed a rock to Yuji as they bolted forward and said, "BROTHER!" 

Yuji planted a foot and threw the rock forwards. As Toudou shifted with the rock he posed as he flew through. Pride in his brother, Pride in Kugisaki, and Pride in his new friend! Music sang to his soul in a symphony of his pride. He thought, 'I'm the one being left behind right now... You've grown strong, Brother.'

"Tan-taka-tan!" Rang in his head! His Idol cheering him on!

"Black Flash!"

AN:// Will admit this was a lil shorter chapter, But damn if I'm not happy with it. This fight is VERY fast paced and with that comes where I add and take away from the 4v1. This being a 2v1 mostly before in the show. 

I also hope the explanation helps for those to understand what is happening with his abilities. It sucks to nerf him for the fight but allows the other characters to really shine as we see with Toudou and Kugisaki. 

They will be back though, and we will get to see a glimpse of just what Azarius is fully capable of when unleashed. Give it time.
