Infection

More time had passed and I turned 17. Over the last sixteen months I had completely solidified my relationship with Saeko and Saya. It took a bit of convincing as well telling them about my other two relationships that I wable to make them agree to a harem. They knew that they would rather be with me together than not at all. Overtime they were able to accept this and even get along with each other. Their parents however were clueless of this however. I also taught them about Ki and how to use it.

Besides that there was another girl I had the chance to get close with and it wasn't Rei. Looking back it still surprises me that the girl I got close with was Yuuki Miku. Contrary to everything I knew about her from the source material, the girl was shy and timid being overly conscious of her maturing body.

Her blossoming body subjected her to various forms of harassment. Bullying by her jealous female classmates, sexual harassments from her male classmates, and emotional and physical abuse by her good for nothing drunkard father.

I believed the abuse and accumulated stress of looking after her sick mom and little sister caused her to pick up a slutty persona and do unsavory things to earn money and survive.

Naturally I took care of the situation, beating the males to the ground in a bloody brawl and black mailing the females. Taking 'care' of Yuuki's father was the easiest by far. Invading his house is super easy for the best thief alive so all I had to do was spike his drink with pethidine, so once it entered the body, it would cause a cardiac arrest to someone directly.

I also made education possible for her little sister and had her mother treated in the best hospital Japan had to offer. It goes without saying that she harbored feelings for me as I saved her on many levels. We weren't dating but her feelings for me weren't a secret to Saya and Saeko who were surprisingly okay with it.

In addition to that, I made contact with Kohta(Best Guy) and took care of his bully problems. After that he and I got along very well, and I got to meet his family… as to how he could have those parents and end up looking like this was beyond me. Either way I befriended him and made sure I would have him as my ally when the time came. I would make sure I saved the mall security guard for him, they'd make a cute couple in my opinion and under that shy personality was a warrior.

By the time Z-day drew near, I had all my plans laid out. Having my necessities in my inventory and storage rooms I would be ready for at least the first few weeks, but after that it was up to me to collect supplies.

Waking up par the norm, I cracked my neck and got out of bed. If my memory was correct shit hit the fan not too long after the day started, so I would show up early.

After taking a shower and eating breakfast I went to the storage room and grabbed the Archangel, katanas and stuffed them into a duffle bag. My residence was on the outskirts of the city, about twenty minutes away from school by car, so taking the SUV was a must. Taking a set of keys from my room, I got in the car and got the hell out of there.

Flying down the street, the scenery outside was truly refreshing. Sun was bright. The fresh cherry petals gathered on the roadside. And the air was clean and refreshing.

Too bad that this will all end soon. The road will be spilled with blood and bodies, the fresh air will be polluted with smoke and dead bodies but at least the sun will still burn brightly.

I was standing on the roof observing everything in the distance. It was now 7 o'clock and class would be starting soon. Today was the day that the world would go to hell and I wanted to be ready.

- - - - Time Skip - - - -

Looking down at the front gate there was movement. Staring at the figure, it was just like in the anime. The figure was a middle aged man with a black suit, and unlike a normal person, his eyes seemed sunken and dark, devoid of life.

Seeing that canon would be starting soon my heart started to faster. Not out of fear but excitement. It's been a lifetime since I've done anything life threatening, sure going on dates with Saya and Saeko were fun and living school life was fun but it's nothing compared to this.

A few minutes went by and some teachers went outside and opened the gate to see who he was. What they got was a bloody bite from the zombie.

Looking in the distance I saw there was more coming through the gate, but not at a fast pace. I began walking down the stairs and made my way towards class when suddenly a man of average height ran past me and into the classroom.

Takashi Komuro.

Walking into the class behind him I got to see the famous slap scene.

"Come on, we're gonna get out of here.", Takashi said, as he pulled Rei up.

"W-What are you talking about?", Rei questioned.

"Dude what are you doing?" Hisashi asked

"People got killed by the front gate. No bullshit.", Takashi answered.

"Are you serious?" Hisashi asked nervously.

"Yeah, I'm making shit like that up.", Takashi said with a sarcastic tone.

Rei pulled her arm away from Takashi and started speaking.

"Geez what's going on I can never underst–"

*Smack*

'Damn, he smacked the hell out of her. Kazuma-sama would be proud,' I thought to myself.

"It's fine. Just listen to what I have to say!" he exclaimed

As they were leaving I glanced at him but soon ignored him. I gotta do what I came here for after all. I walked over to Kohta and Saya, "Kohta, Saya we need to get out of here now."

They looked at me with confusion but got up and nodded, "Understood, let's go.", she turned to Kohta, "Hey fatty, you heard him right?"

"Y-Yeah I heard him" he stammered.

Then what are you waiting for, let's go", Saya grabbed my hand, "Lead the way."

I nodded, "Let's go", as we exited the room Kohta followed behind us. The teacher was yelling at the students to sit down and quit interrupting class or else he would have them sit in detention as if that would do anything from this point on.

"We have to get out of this place quickly, we need to head to the roof", I told them, I know Saeko can handle herself even without Ki but, I barely just started training Miku so I gotta get to her before finding Saeko.

"Wait a minute Aniki, what's happening outside?", Kohta asked.

"Oh yeah I never really said anything huh… Well whether you like it or not you both need to accept the truth or you'll die.", I told them bluntly, "Based on my observations right now this is the apocalypse", I said as I shrugged my shoulders.

""...What?...", they said in unison.

"From what I observed so far is that the infected are stronger than your average person. People who aren't trained can engage them in a physical fight, you would have to use weapons. Also it appears their bites spread the infection they have rapidly. People who were bitten turn around in less than a few minutes." I explained calmly, "Well let's get going to the rooftop shall we I still need to get to Saeko after this"

As we were walking they appeared to be in deep thought about this. I know they trusted me a lot but to believe something like this would be a bit far fetched. As we were halfway towards the stairs Saya finally spoke.

"I'll believe you, after all the things you showed me and did for me it would be wrong not to believe you now." she said with a small smile.

"Me to Aniki. If it wasn't for you I would have still been bullied. You didn't only take me under your wing, you also taught me a lot of things about how to construct guns and a little bit of martial arts for self defense and I'm grateful for it, so I'll believe you." Kohta said with a grin.

"Hmmmm….looks like you grew up." I said with a chuckle.

True to my words they really were different from their anime counterparts. Saya, although still a bit of a brat, is more mature and open minded. She's also more capable than her anime counterpart thanks to me training her. Kohta also has changed from his counterpart. He's more confident and physically capable than his counterpart.

Before I could continue my thoughts the school's loudspeakers activated.

"A man spoke through the school's loudspeaker, as he spoke you could feel the shallow and wavering breathing. "This announcement is for all the students, an emergency situation is taking place inside the school right now."

The man took a deep breath to recover himself before continuing, "All students must follow your teacher's instructions and evacuate."

"It's finally happening," I said with a little excitement. "Come on, we have to continue. You can listen to the speaker as we walk."

They just nodded as we kept listening while walking.

"I repeat, a violent incident has occured on school grounds–", suddenly the speaker went quiet. Growls of something could be heard in the background, the sound of something falling was heard and the mic peaked for a bit.

Everyone in school stared at the loudspeaker worried about what was occurring.

"Argh!", the speaker grunted, "Get back!"

Slowly the faces of the students grew from nervous to scared.

"Argh! Aaaaaaaah!Help! Heeeeelllppp!!! Heee- AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!", the terrorizing scream, created a wave of fear that most young teenagers had never felt. The essence of a person begging to be spared before death arrived loomed in their young ears and invaded their minds.

Both male and female students felt the chilling goosebumps arise in their arms and legs, someone had been killed and they heard it loud and clear.

For a second, the entire school went quiet as if no one was actually there, nothing but the chirping of birds could be heard from the environment.

Then…

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Screams and shouts could be heard from every corner of the school. Sounds of desks and chairs being forcibly pushed or thrown were also heard, and if a person paid close attention you could even hear the noises could be confirmed as kicking and punching and something being trampled.

To one who wasn't aware of hearing such gruesome noises, they would be spared for not knowing what things were occurring to their fellow alumni.

Back with Kira and his group…

"Those idiots" I said clearly irritated, "Come on we have to get going before the school gets overrun."

Our objective was the stairs that headed towards the roof, but we first needed to cross this bridge and reach the building across it.

"Gggggggrrrrraaaaa!!"

I raised my arm up indicating for them to stop. The skywalk we were on was a four way bridge. One went to the back side of school, and two other paths went west and east, it was basically an outdoor hallway.

"Saya, Kohta", I said, grabbing their attention, "Observe."

Opening my duffle bag I grabbed Archangel and shot the zombie zombie in the chest, this was intentional just to show them that this monster might look human, but in fact it wasn't.

The zombie was pushed back from the hit, but it didn't stop walking towards us.

Saya and Kohta gulped seeing the zombie not flinching from getting shot.

"Calm down, these things aren't unkillable.", I told them, "You just gotta destroy the brain"

*Bang!!!* *Bang!!!*

I shot the zombie right in the joints of the knees, this made the legs unusable to the zombie and it fell.

"This is how we'll survive."I walked towards the zombie and aimed at its head as it layed on the ground.

*Bang!!!*

Blowing it's head off I turned around, "This is our world now, accept it or die.", I said as I continued walking forwards.

3rd POV

For some reason Kira looked so sexy to Saya, seeing him act like an action movie hero amazed her. Kohta also felt certain, unlike the girl that thought of him as attractive, they thought he looked cool and collected it mostly from Kira not flinching when he shot the zombie.

As Kira walked to the other side he heard more growls and groans, he already knew what was up ahead, zombies were already on the roof waiting.

'Come on world, I'll show you why I was known as the best.', Kira grinned wickedly.
