The first breakthrough
" Hey, that's my pancake. You can't have it." Said Ahmad to his friend and classmate but she wasn't going to have it, she grabbed her fork and hooked the mass of fried dough and dragged it towards her.
She hastily cut away a chump and swallowed.
" Stolen food does taste better." She said and wore wide smile.
" You made the table dirty. We were going to study on that you know."
" Let's watch some TV instead, the exam is a couple of weeks away anyways. We'll be fine."
" Arghhhh alright."
The short blonde girl walked to the Television that hung by the wall while Ahmad cleaned the mess the two of them made.
The two watched a couple of episodes of a series that was popular at the time.
" Hmmm Alice. It's getting late, don't you think it's about time you head on home?"
" Alright alright, I'll finish this episode and leave."
A couple of minutes passed with more episodes watched, it was night now, well past 9 pm.
" Hey, Ahmad."
Alice shifted towards him, their clothes were rubbing against each other at this point.
" Alice?"
She closed up on him nearing her pink lips towards him until she landed a kiss. Ahmad was startled and the two fell with Ahmad falling on his back with Alice on his chest.
Ahmad was shocked, his eyes were opened throughout the kiss.
Alice finally withdrew her lips.
" Can I sleep over tonight?"
" Ehh..." Ahmad was dumbfounded, he never expected Alice to act this way, she was never the girly type but right now, she was being all sort of girly.
" Yes?" She looked into his eyes, Ahmad had no will over her innocent blue eyes and thus he gave in.
" Yes, you can stay the night." he muttered as he turned away his reddened face.
Some hours later....
" The end? I need part two already! This is torture." She yelled.
Ahmad wanted to tell her to lessen her voice, but he left her not wanting to disrupt the excitement she was feeling . He had never seen Alice being this energetic. He had always known her to be a bold girl who was pretty conserved and loved art.
To see her this way was an eye-opener to Ahmad.
' I guess people aren't always as they seem. She must really trust me to show me this part of her.' He couldn't help but smile as he gazed at her.
She stretched her arms and turned to see Ahmad smiling.
" Want to do it?"
Suddenly, the environment took a new shape. Alice was no longer near him, in fact he wasn't in his apartment and it got brighter all of a sudden.
Ahmad at this point was groveling and two masked dudes were filling their bags with cash.
After grabbing all they could, one came to him and then the gunshot was made taking his life. His once beautiful life fell into darkness.
" Ahh!" Seyus cried and jolted up from his bed. Sweat beads were all over his face as he took in deep breaths of air.
His heart was beating faster than usual and so was his breathing. He heard steps approaching and the door came opened.
It was his mother, Suyin. She opened the door to meet her five-year-old boy sweating profusely.
' What was that? it felt so real.' Seyus thought as he stared at his hand.
As he did, he saw his little pale arm become an even larger one, Ahmad's. He was startled.
Suyin noticed that he was horrified and embraced him.
" What's wrong my child?" She asked with the kindest voice.
Seyus couldn't speak.
" A nightmare?" She asked and his eyes widened answering her question.
" Sorry about that. Do you want to sleep with me?"
Seyus nodded and was brought to his mother's room where he spent the rest of his night.
Hours passed and it was morning now. Seyus woke up to the sound of Narwind tearing through the air with his mighty fists.
He had just broken into the Core Temple 3rd stage and with that a sort of new confidence arose in him. He was progressing fast for his age but that was normal for every living child of Dolin so far. All of them had potential, Dolin made sure.
Seyus got to his room. There, he found his bottle of pills which he took daily and took one, it was a large green pill rich in the life energy of herbs.
Seyus placed it in his mouth and as much as he fought it, he couldn't help but squeeze his face over the herby bitter taste.
He sat on the wooden ground and maintained a lotus sitting position. He closed his eyes as he focused on absorbing the life energy flooding his Ki vessels into his temple.
" Ahhhhh." He let out softly.
Suddenly the image of Ahmad groveling in fear came to his mind disrupting his cultivation.
" Why now? Why at all? It's almost time to train with Father, I don't have any spare time." He shook his head vigorously and went back to concentrating.
He took in slow deep breaths and worked to clear his mind.
" The Body, The Mind and the Soul." he muttered in the sitting position.
He absorbed the energy from the pill efficiently. Usually, it was just a pill in the morning but this time, Seyus went for a second.
He was attacked by the bitter taste once again but soon went on to utilize it.
He met with no obstacles and completely absorbed the energy.
After absorbing it all, Seyus maintained his position giving to peace and quiet.
His Ki began to climb. He felt invigorated yet he maintained serenity, he was near a breakthrough, he could feel it.
A thin layer of blue ki suddenly doused young Seyus.
Seyus slowly opened his eyes. He looked at his hand, blue ki brimmed from it, this hand never happened to him before, he had never been away to manifest his energy and now he did.
He had created a protective layer around himself.
" I have broken through!"
